Nestled in Vila Nova de Cacela, this lovely villa for $271 per night is a great option for your next trip. Licence no. 11362/AL Stunning 6 bedrooms fully air conditioned villa with outdoor pool, ( which can be heated ) situated within the village of Manta Rota, 12km from Tavira and 12km from Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Close to all amenities and only five minutes walk from the superb sandy beach. The villa is within a few minutes drive of five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus,Monte Rei course. The villa has a unique Spanish style 'hacienda' courtyard at the front of the house, a lovely terraced garden of vines and fruit trees, and a beautiful 8 by 4 metres outdoor heatable pool. (There is a fee for heating the pool of £100 ) The house has additional terrace areas with views over the village and towards the sea, and is luxuriously furnished throughout its six bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large living room , together with a large kitchen/dining room. There is also a covered games area with pool table and darts and a table tennis table. The owners live nearby and are on hand to assist in anything that you may require, from general information to recommendations of restaurants, and places to see and visit. The beautiful Ria Formosa!: The Ria Formosa in the Algarve is a beautiful labyrinth of lagoons separated from the sea by a coastal dune system which is broken up by various natural inlets. It is one of the most important nature reserves in the network of wetlands that links Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. Casa Betel was a dream to stay at. We were 8 family members staying for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year's. The house exceeded our hopes and was wonderful for us. It is very spacious and well laid out, and has everything you could possibly need. Extremely well supplied, comfortable and homelike. We enjoyed outdoor time in the garden with the pool and mandarin tree, made freshly squeezed orange juice with fruit from the tree, wonderful meals at the spacious dining table and the beds were comfy and bathrooms modern. All was super clean. Andrew and Elsie were incredibly responsive and helpful. they even delivered a turkey to us, ordered from a local butcher. The village was so charming, with a local grocery store, cafes and restaurants all within a block or two's walk. The village is well located and close to many places. We drove to Seville for a day, only a l.5 hour's drive. The beach is spectacular and a five minute walk. Christmas Eve sunset at the beach is a memory we will not soon forget. We highly recommend this house and hope to be back.

We had our family of 10 stay very comfortably & thoroughly enjoyed our week! It is charming and has plenty of room for all of us. Hosts were wonderful… responsive and helpful!
The highlights were Old Times restaurant which is a short walk from the house, sea kayaking into the sea caves and a day spent in Sevilla Spain which is only an hour or so away!
We will definitely be returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Manta Rota. Our host, Andrew, was very responsive to any queries and was we quick to respond if we needed something.
The villa is a short walk to the beach and a shorter walk to a fun local pub. All amenities are within walking distance.

The villa is lovely and is in a great location, almost everything was perfect. Just a couple of very small things that prevent a 5 star review. The pool cues needed replacing,there was no chalk and the outside lights in the courtyard did not work. This meant that it was not possible to make proper use of the games advertised on the listing as you could not play in the evenings due to light.

Everything about the property and location was excellent. 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms were more than enough for our group of ten. We did Yoga on the terrace in the morning and evening and spent the day in the heated pool. The beach was just a 9 minute walk away and there were 2 local restaurants just steps away. The location was so quiet we all slept well and we cooked every night in the well designed kitchen which had everything we needed. There were enough sun beds for us all. A wonderful stay thank you and we will be booking again

I organised a 60th birthday treat for my sister with seven other adults and two children 8 years, and 5 years old.
From the initial booking, which was simple and very easy, Andrew the host, was always on hand to help out and responded promptly. He recommended transport to and from the airport which went smoothly. A big thank you to Edite who Andrew recommended for the journey to and from the airport.
The villa was beautiful. The gardens, the pool area, the internal rooms were all beautifully presented. The kitchen was fantastic, with everything you could think of. The use of a washing machine was great with the small children. All the rooms were lovely, everyone was happy with their choice of room.
The lounge was lovely and spacious with three sofas, tv with satellite although we never turned it on! We did have a go on the piano at the rear of the lounge one night, so much fun.
We explored Manta Rota, found some great restaurants, and Mars Bar was one of our favourites simply because it was simple. The food was fantastic, the price great, and although it isn’t upmarket it definitely is worth visiting. Local shops and supermarkets are less than 10 mins from the villa which was handy. There’s a fish shop two mins away but I think it’s only open in the mornings.
All in all, we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing family break. There’s plenty of exploring to do with the train station about 25 min walk away, where you can get to all the neighbouring towns. We went to Tavira, and Faro, although there were strikes on which was a bit annoying so there were delays, but again, it didn’t spoil our stay.

We had some difficulty in finding the house,locals were not even sure of the location but. Once found is easy to locate. There were troubles with the power,it went off a dozen times, electrician came three times before it was repaired,also a pipe broke and had to be replaced so we were without hot water for two days. But saying all that, once Everything was repaired we had a wonderful vacation,location was great and restaurants were terrific.

was completely sound proof from the early rising children each morning.
Beds were all comfortable and hot water and pressure in the showers were great.
The living area had comfortable couches, lots of seating for everyone
The kitchen was well equipped (we did add a blender, as we are all smoothy junkies each morning).
A small washing machine and two drying racks were a bonus.
We enjoyed the heated pool daily, lots of lounge chairs and a spacious deck for the children to play.
The orange tree was a HUGE bonus, as we had fresh orange juice each morning.
The children enjoyed the grassy courtyard.
Ladies came twice while we were there to change bedding and towels.
The yard and pool were attended to several times.
It was a perfect location, close to some wonderful restaurants and cafe's, a butcher shop and grocery store.
A short walk to the boardwalk and endless beaches.
A two kilometre walk to the Cacela Train Station.(love train travel in Europe!)
The local rooster(s), and sheep were great entertainment.
We did have a couple of issues that needed attention and Andrew was quick to address them.

If you are looking for a place right at the beach with plenty of space for family and friends, this is it! Plenty of rooms and beds for everyone and outside space with a pool table and ping pong. It was also very nice to be able to have the pool heated in November.

It was not very clean and we missed a basic kit to clean in between.
Also strange that you had to rent bath towels extra.
Swimming pool was nice and warm.

Ideal location
This was a long awaited extended family holiday, which had been postponed from 2020. Andrew the owner, was very patient, as our numbers changed each year due to pregnancy and new grandchildren arriving. The holiday didn’t disappoint. The location was perfect, with the beautiful beach 10mins walk away. There were supermarkets within walking distance and you could easily manage without a car. We paid extra to have the pool heated, as we had small children from 11 months - 3 years old. The temperature was ideal for everyone. There was plenty of space in the villa, kitchen very well equipped, although we couldn’t find the correct capsules for the coffee machine. There was a filter coffee machine however, which was great. We had a problem with the parasols, but Andrew the owner replaced them immediately. The outdoor seating and BBQ area were very good and were used daily. We did have a problem with the shower water going cold, if the water was being used somewhere else. We had a wonderful holiday and hope to return in the future.

Great villa for families with the best pool ever.
After a major hiccup at check in which was speedily and generously sorted out by the owners we had a great 2 weeks at this villa.
Highly recommend 'Old Times' restaurant just round the corner. Manta Rota is a lovely quiet town with a lovely easily accessible beach

Perfect location and perfect property for a large group!
The Manta Rota location is quite perfect being 40 mins drive from the airport and 10 mins walk to the beautiful white sand beach, passing a great little supermarket on the way. The property is absolutely lovely for a large group with every bedroom comfortable & spacious &living area equally so. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with various quality gadgets and kitchen tools.
Both front and rear garden are great spaces where a lot of care and effort is evident.
Our family group of children and adults all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks and have fallen in love with Portugal. ( Great weather too at the beginning of January) Hopefully we can repeat the experience and return in the not too distant future.

6 adults and 5 crazy kids. House was great, clean, well equipped and perfectly located.
Kids enjoyed swimming pool whatever the weather and trips to the beach which was just 10 minutes from the house.
Manta rota is a lovely small village with few restaurants and shops. Perfect for families wanting to have quiet and relaxing time.
Everything was perfect! We wish we could stay longer. Highly recommended!
