I am a solo female traveller first time in India. I highly recommend this hotel/home. It was truly a pleasure staying here. James and his staff will do what they can to make you feel at home. Breakfasts were delicious and always had fresh fruit and a traditional Indian dish. Beds were comfortable, house is very clean, and always had hot water. Neighbourhood is very safe, and people are friendly. I travel a lot and this is now one of my favourite stays. I am grateful for the experience of staying here.

The neighborhood itself is very rich in history. James’ house has a nice decor both inside and outside.
The room and the bathroom is a bit on the smaller side, but understandable given how old it is. Also, you would share bathroom with other guests staying at the property at the same time.

This property is a beautiful old guest house in a heritage area. The host, James, is exceptional. He was generous with his hospitality and sharing stories of his very interesting life in Bombay over the years. It was a unique experience staying here and we'd highly recommend it.

But very very expensive for what it was. A bit of leaking in room from heavy rain.
