Amazing experience at Desa Eko. It is the real definition of glamping. The mountain view tent was perfect for a 1 night stay, very confortable and everything we need was there. The view was gorgeous, and the shared bathrooms and showers very pretty and clean. The personnel was amazing, helped us with there luggages, and some recommandations in the area. The Botanist (resto) was truely the best food we ate during our trip.
Be careful to not let your luggages touch the tent because of the humidity.

The surroundings and views are beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. It was my birthday during our stay and they made a real effort to make it feel special, which I really appreciated.
Unfortunately, Desa Eko did not live up to our expectations. The views and surroundings are beautiful, but ultimately it is a fairly basic camping/glamping experience at a very premium price.
The tents are placed quite close together, so it doesn’t give the sense of privacy, freedom and being immersed in nature that the photos and storytelling suggest. Most accommodations don’t have a private bathroom, the shared bathrooms are very basic, and during our stay the showers were cold.
The restaurant, which also functions as the reception, is simple in both setting and concept. The food was okay, but very average — you can eat much better at many places in Bali. Given how special the overall experience is presented, we expected the food and restaurant to be part of that experience too.
The owners have clearly done an excellent job with the concept, storytelling and marketing. It looks and sounds like a very special place online, which is why we were willing to pay the high price. Unfortunately, the actual experience didn’t match those expectations.
At a more modest price point I would probably rate Desa Eko very differently, but for what they charge, I expected much more comfort, privacy and overall quality.
