About this condo rental
Located in Zihuatanejo, this lovely condo for $148 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome to Residencial La Ceiba, a fresh, clean and breezy condo, with pool access and a flat & charming walk to the soft sand beach. This private & spacious 1900sq ft three bedroom condo easily accommodates 6, and is also perfect for 2. We believe this is the best condo on Playa La Ropa, and here’s why: • Location: Our condo is part of a small complex at the southernmost end of Playa la Ropa, Zihuatanejo’s longest and most beautiful beach. The natural surroundings offer privacy and quiet while still being an easy ride into town with public transport or taxi. There are a number of great restaurants along the beach very close by, as well as a couple of small shops for tortillas, beer, etc. (Fall asleep to the murmurs of crickets and waves, and wake up with birdsong!) • Our condo is the preferred unit in the complex, as it has both an oversized terrace that overlooks the garden and pool AND, unique to this unit, has a second balcony that faces towards the sea and sunsets. • Each of the 3 airy bedrooms has its own access to the terrace and doorway to the inner hallway. Two rooms have king-sized beds and the other has two twins, fitted with cotton bedding. Each bedroom has lofty ceilings, an overhead fan and a/c. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and dressing area, and a second bathroom is in the hall. (From the showers you can often see hummingbirds sipping on the hibiscus flowers!) • The kitchen is fully equipped and has anything you’ll need to make breakfast lunch or dinner. There is a six-burner gas stove with oven, washer/dryer and plenty of prep space. The kitchen window above the double sink looks towards the sea. Filtered water bottles are included. • Common areas in the condo include the extra-wide terrace with hammocks and a round eating table. Inside is seating for 6 with a television, and a dining table. The second balcony is perfect for sunset drinks and morning coffee. • The sparkling pool has a lap lane, wading area and fountain. It is surrounded by lush grass and tropical plants with loungers, chairs, and shade umbrellas. The two groundskeepers keep the pool and garden immaculate. The pool-side palapa with swim-up barstools is large enough for gatherings of friends and family (with prior approval by the on-site administrator). • Our wonderful cleaner keeps the unit sparkling clean and it is important to us to respect the environment by using eco-friendly cleaning products. • Wifi is available in both the condo and the common areas around the pool. • The condo complex is cared for by full-time staff (including an English-speaking administrator) and 2 groundskeepers. A nighttime guard keeps watch and can radio you a taxi as needed. • We hope you have a wonderful stay! And welcome any suggestions on how to make your next stay even better.

We absolutely loved staying at La Cieba . This unit had a fabulous 2nd balcony which I sat and had my coffee every morning on and watched the town come alive . Fabulous location !! Susan the owner was amazing with communication and help and the staff here are wonderful !

We stayed for 3 weeks - condo is a good size for 2 couples as there are 2 KS bedrooms / one with an ensuite. The kitchen is a really nice size with a gas range/ oven and a full size fridge. The washer/ dryer is new snd works great. The complex is very well run with an on- site manager as well as security at the front gate. Beautiful flowers and lush vegetation are in each unit’s planter boxes on the generous sized decks. The pool is absolutely lovely and lounge chairs are provided on the grassy areas. Inside the unit there’s a nice sized tv - use with Netflix or other Aps - there are no tv channels. WiFi in the unit is pretty good for basics like email & social media.
Al was our contact and met us when we arrived & went over basics- but a little house manual woii you led have been useful. (Where yo take garbage, is there cleaning available, etc) He was very responsive when a tap handle broke and had it fixed promptly. We would certainly consider staying here again as it’s only a 2 block walk to La Ropa, and busses or taxis come by frequently to take you into town.

We loved our stay! Close to great restaurants and the awesome La Ropa beach.
Everything went smoothly! Couldn’t recommend it enough. Spotty Wi-Fi could be annoying at times. But not the end of the world!

Best Location & perfect for a family
Thank you for the pleasure of staying in your lovely accommodation only 5 min short easy walk to the beach . The unit was comfortable and quite accommodating . Perfect for a family . The pool was sparkling clean and lovely too. Quiet and peaceful . The grounds very well kept and pretty with all the plants and flowers in the courtyard . We did not encounter any bugs or critters either ! Overall would highly recommend this unit .

Comfortable, clean, enjoyable, safe, FUN
The property and staff were exceptional! The accommodations were exactly as expected. The entire property is very clean and well cared for. We rented a car and a parking stall was available for us, although we will probably use the taxi system in the future. Close to many fine restaurants and just a couple minute walk to the fabulous beach. Agatha and Al were extremely accommodating and helpful. Don't forget a couple little flash lights if you are walking back in the dark.

A perfect getaway
We loved our stay at Residencial La Ceiba! The complex is beautiful and very peaceful. We loved having our little oasis to come back to every day and cool down in the pool with a refreshing drink. It is in a great location just a short walk to Playa La Ropa and all of the great restaurants on the beach. The condo has three big bedrooms with great beds and we were thankful for the air conditioning at night. Al and Agatha were very accommodating and gave us lots of tips on places to see and were to eat in Zihuat! We hope to be back again one day!

You can't go wrong with La Ceiba 302B. The condo is perfectly laid out with 3 bedrooms and two baths (could easily handle 6 people). The kitchen has everything you need and more. The beautiful artwork is a fun bonus. The veranda overlooking the pool and beautifully maintained grounds is where you will live. It is cool in the am and gets a good breeze in the afternoon.
It is no exaggeration that you are steps from the beach. Head out down a short path lined with beautiful Mexican murals and you are on La Ropa with lots of activities and small beach restaurants. There are three of us and we rented lounge chairs with an umbrella and food and beverage service for about 200 pesos for the day. This is the cost at high season.
Shelly and Russ, the property managers, are great. Any question we asked via email was promptly answered.
it is a 50 peso cab ride to the center of Zihuatanejo. And, cabs are everywhere. Getting around is really easy.
We hate to leave and definitely will be back.
