About this house rental
Located in Puerto Diablo, this lovely house for $425 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Spectacular views of the Caribbean greet you as you walk through the gated entry of this private tropical estate. Beautifully landscaped grounds provide a peaceful sanctuary to enjoy the breathtaking views from both levels of this large two story villa. Inside, the 5 double doors open to the pool area, making for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Villa Destino also boasts a state of the art solar energy system featuring the Tesla Powerwall II Battery. This is to ensure that our guests have consistent and reliable eco-friendly power during their stay. ABOUT THE SPACE The first floor features a well-appointed kitchen, living room, indoor and outdoor dining and full bath, all open to the 30 foot pool. The upper level has 3 bedrooms, each with its own full bath. Also on the second floor is a den/study for watching movies or lounging with a book, and a generous covered porch that provides a peaceful place to enjoy the incredible views. The covered porch leads to the garden terrace where you will find a secluded tropical garden with banana and papaya trees. Our 3 bedroom villa is designed to comfortably sleep up to 6 people. Main Guest Room The large main suite has a queen bed, ensuite bathroom and french doors leading to the private garden terrace. Second Guest Room The second guest room with Queen bed and ensuite bath offers dramatic Caribbean views. Third Guestroom The large third guest room has a private bath and includes a king-size bed (which can also be set up as 2 twins), a separate sitting room with sofa that converts to sleeping space, and views of the Caribbean and pool area. Villa Destino has all of the amenities you would expect to find in a luxury rental including a gated motor court with security camera*, Wi-Fi, flat screen satellite tv, quality appliances, four burner gas outdoor grill, washer/dryer, and so much more. It also has everything you need to enjoy Vieques' spectacular beaches . . . plush beach towels, beach umbrella and 6 beach chairs, coolers, toys, and some snorkeling equipment. Villa Destino is located in the hillside neighborhood of Destino on the edge of the National Wildlife Refuge overlooking the undeveloped shores of the Caribbean Sea. It is just a short drive to the best beaches on the island as well as the two main towns of Isabel Segunda and Esperanza. Villa Destino is located on Vieques island which is 7 miles off the main island of Puerto Rico. You will need to fly or take the ferry from the main island. We suggest you secure your rental car as soon as possible as they do run out during busy months. Also, there are no Uber/Lyft services on the island, so a rental car is your best option for getting around the island. * Please note the outdoor security camera overlooks the motor court, electronic gate and street for security purposes.

Everything was wonderful. One suggestion is to have a TV in the lower level. The size room is much more accommodating for a group to watch tv instead of only option upstairs. Air conditioner was not working well in large bedroom but we didn’t use that toom

The house is perfection and the pool is the cherry on top. There was no issue with electricity for the AC in the bedrooms at night (I actually got cold). Vieques is a top 3 place for me and I would stay at Villa Destino anytime. Good kitchen supplies and the grill worked great. You will not regret a stay here.

Villa Destino was amazing! My family and I absolutely loved it there. Everything was thoughtfully done. The entrance was large and comfortable to pull in your car. When you enter through the gate of the house you are greeted with a spectacular view of the pool, island and ocean. The downstairs space is open, airy and has plenty of seating. Upstairs each bedroom is thoughtfully appointed. Each bathroom was spotless, and the toiletries provided were lovely. The owners of the home provided towels, beach towels, and everything you might need for the beach. They really thought of everything. We spent the days exploring the island but the house was so perfect, we ended up spending more time at the pool there than we anticipated. The pool, palm trees, and lounge chairs just made every moment such a delight. My tweens are normally hard to impress and they are already asking about going back. There is so much space, this is easily a home that would be perfect for 3 couples, or a larger family than us 4. The location is perfect. Everything is super close, and the street itself is quiet. The landscaping truly makes it feel like a tropical paradise. Overall, this home is spectacular - I can not recommend it enough. You will have a magical and memorable time there!

Villa Destino is one of the most spectacular properties where we have had the privilege to stay! The views from the house were just phenomenal, and the property had absolutely everything we needed for an amazing stay. Both the property owner and manager were responsive and attentive throughout the booking process and our trip to ensure we truly enjoyed our stay. We are already planning our next trip to our favorite island.

Villa Destino is a five star property!! We had a wonderful stay - the house has a pool that is the best we ever encountered on our seven trips to Vieques. The views from all outside areas are exceptional. We really appreciated how the main level opens up to the pool area, so getting a cold beer from the refrigerator is seamless. Ha!!
It's a step climb up the road to the house, but a 4-wheel dive Bronco made it a fun experience. The parking area is flat, large and gated - so we always felt comfortable leaving our equipment in the car.
The house comes equipped with everything you need for a beach/island vacation. The linens and soaps were first class, plenty of beach chairs, and the bedrooms are large and comfortable, with effective air conditioning. The kitchen is also modern and well-equipped. The owner and property manager communicated quickly and effectively. You can tell when you arrive and first walk around that the owners care deeply about the property.
When planning a trip to Vieques, I highly recommend you rent this house - you will not be disappointed, but rather you will probably find that it exceeds your expectations.

we thoroughly enjoyed this home, it was perfect for our holiday trip with our family of 4 with plenty of room to spare. the open floor plan also seemed to include the pool area which had a nice flow for our week on the island. traveled to many beached daily and we were close enough to all of them from this home all was clean neat and orderly. the property has a full bathroom for each bedroom which was nice. we would rent here again for sure.

Fun in Vieques
We enjoyed our stay in Vieques. The villa was amazing, we loved the layout, beautiful view, and the pool. Mary Kay was helpful in setting everything up and Karen answered all our questions when we arrived. A jeep was recommended and definitely needed to reach the property and explore the island. Beaches were beautiful. We'd recommend the villa and Vieques.

Villa Destino Never Fails to Delight
We have been coming to Vieques for 25+ years. Villa Destino is, without question, the best property we've stayed in! The views are stunning. The house is beautiful and so well appointed. Location is the best -- easy access to all the best beaches and close to both Isabel II and Esperanza. Our kids have grown from pre-teens to adults and they still beg to come here with us. This mom couldn't give any higher praise than that. The hosts and the property manager are super nice and helpful. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

Vieques Vacation
We loved staying at Villa Destino. It was the perfect house. There were six in our group (three couples) and we still had plenty of room to spread out. We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen and ate them outside looking out at the view. We also enjoyed the pool. When we decided to explore it was only a short distance to Isabella, Esperanza, and the beaches. And, if you had any questions, Karen has so responsive and willing to help. Were were at the house for 10 days. It was not enough. We have already booked for next year.

Perfect Stay
We had a great stay at this villa. Perfect location between Isabel II and Esperanza and near the best beaches in the wildlife refuge. The pool was always a perfect temp, AC's worked well, beds were comfy and amazing views everywhere. The check in process with Karen, the house manager, was seamless and easy. I would stay here again without question.

This house is perfect!
We (2 couples) stayed in early June 2021. The house perfectly matches the description and the pictures are accurate. The home is equipped with many things you may not want to pack like large beach towels and bug spray. There is even extra suntan lotion! in addition, the beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas made for the best beach days you will find anywhere. The house is big and beautiful allowing for privacy and a comfortable space to be together. If you are considering renting with a family there is plenty of space to spread out. The house manager, Karen, was always available, super friendly, and helpful. Our flights were delayed and Karen stayed in constant touch adjusting drivers and meeting times without hesitation. We can not wait to go again!

Our stay in Paradise
We stayed at this gorgeous property the beginning of June 2021. We could not have been happier with the property or location. It provided a much-needed solace from the terrible year of 2020. The property was just as pictured and described. Karen was wonderful at checking us in and making sure we were comfortable and the owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions.
The place was clean, spacious and had beautiful views. We loved dipping in the pool to cool down and we definitely lounged in all the pool-side furniture, had meals by the pool and enjoyed star-gazing on the upstairs patio. The kitchen is stocked with pantry essentials and it was easy to prepare meals to enjoy at “home.” This property had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Vieques.
People have commented on the the noise of the chickens and you do hear a cacophony of sounds which could be quite loud, including frogs, peacocks and roosters, but we loved it and felt like we were in a treehouse in the jungle.
You will consider yourself lucky to spend a week in this amazing property. This family of four from Colorado was planning a return as soon as we left!

Scenic and Peaceful Stay
Our family loved our stay at Villa Destino! The pool was one of the best we’ve enjoyed at a vacation home! Our kids kept wanting to swim at the house rather than the ocean! We opened all the doors in the morning and kept them open to enjoy all day. The views on the deck are beautiful and peaceful. We had visits from Iguanas and peacocks daily. Loved the horses all over the island and the general island vibe. Recommend Vieques and Villa Destino!

Villa Destino
a beautiful view high above the Vieques preservation area, looking out to the Caribbean Sea. The house is very comfortable and well provisioned with amenities. Property is quite private except for the local roosters who let you know the early morning time. Positioned between Esperanza and Isabela Segunda, it was easy to travel to the beaches or for meals. The hostess, Karen, was very attentive and added local infofrmation/ knowledge for places to visit or things to due. The home has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere and the sunrises; sunsets; and the night sky are spectacular!! I highly recommend this spot for anyone traveling to Vieques.

Wonderful stay on Vieques
Our family greatly enjoyed our time in Vieques and our stay at Villa Destino. We loved waking up to birds and rainbows each morning, opening the downstairs doors, and drinking coffee by the pool. The villa was conveniently located to both towns on the island and to many wonderful beaches. Mary Kay was easy to communicate with prior to our stay, and Karen was nice enough to meet us at the airport and give us an introduction to the villa. Paradise!
Amazing experience - one of the best views on all of Vieques and so much space for everything we would need to do and more. The entire stay was perfect. The property manager Karen is communicative and fun to talk to. Very helpful. And Mary Kay was great to communicate with prior to the stay too.
We had 6 of us staying there and we each had enough privacy but great communal spaces too. We grilled a few nights and loved listening to the coqui while stargazing. We hope to come back again soon!

Gorgeous view of the Caribbean
We wanted for nothing. The views were stunning. The pool refreshing. The many places to relax were well thought out. Kitchen supplies were just what we needed (we even cooked a 13-lb turkey for thanksgiving!). Three bedrooms and four baths perfect for three couples. It was fun to explore the island and return home to this oasis. Property manager was very helpful and kind. We look forward to coming back!

Mediterranean Style Villa in the Caribbean
Loved this Mediterranean style villa on Vieques Island. It was very clean and spacious, just as described. Probably the most amazing part was the pool and how the house opened up to the outdoors, absolutely lovely. Communication with owner was very easy, and check in/out was a breeze. Location was very convenient in between both towns, everything was 15 min apart. Overall we had a wonderful stay! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We visited Vieques the first week of August and had a great time. The villa was perfect for us and we loved everything the island had to offer. We spent hours in the pool and could not get enough of the spectacular view overlooking the Caribbean! Literally picture perfect! Mary Kay and Karen were awesome, thank you again. Villa Destino Girls Trip
We chose Villa Destino for a family girls trip. The house was absolutely gorgeous and the views were breathtaking! All of us spent hours in the beautiful pool. The house is set up perfectly for gathering together. The location is so convenient...close to the beaches and between Isabel and Esperanza. The owner and property manager were so easy to work with answering all communication in a very timely manner.

We had a great stay on Vieques at Villa Destino. Karen was very nice and helpful. The Villa is very nice and the pool was wonderful. The ac took a long time to cool the bedrooms but the pool cooled us off quick after a day of beaching and sight seeing. The Villa was very well equipped for cooking in some nights. We went to different beaches every day and the island is pretty. I would definitely stay here again on Vieques.

Very impressive.
04/16/2019-04/23/2019. Coming from Upstate New York, where the sun does not shine all the time, we were a little skeptical about the "total solar" concept. Mary Kay and Karen arranged great weather for our stay so there was never an issue about "power usage". The property had everything we needed. We ran air conditioners, per instructions, and never lacked for power. The kitchen is well equipped. I was able to bake my ribs without worrying about using too much Power". Beds are comfortable. The pool is terrific. Location is very good being half way, sort of, between Isabel and Esperanza. Shower mixer valves are touchy but Karen did explain how to operate them. Toilet valves do need to be replaced. I'm sure that is taken care of by now. Bottom line coming from frequent visitors to the island, Villa Destino is an excellent place to vacation!

The Villa is a fabulous spot for a getaway!
My husband and I hosted our adult sons and their wives at the Villa. We found the Villa to be a perfect place to share and relax during our week stay. The view from the pool deck and the balcony is captivating. I took so many pictures!
We all enjoyed the pool and 1st floor gathering area. It is a perfect arrangement of living space for families or couples, with bedrooms upstairs (private baths too) and living areas downstairs.
The kitchen had everything we needed for big meals and picnics at the beach.
We found beach umbrella, chairs and snorkel gear a very helpful amenity. 😊
The palm trees and bougainvillea make the landscaping around the Villa pop with tropical flair. I loved it.
We are already dreaming of our next trip. Thanks to Karen and her team for a great stay!

peaceful and beautiful
My mother, sister and I enjoyed a tremendously relaxing 5 night stay at Villa Destino last week. It is so quiet! the views are beautiful! The downstairs space is very open, and has doors onto the perfect pool area. Kitchen is very nice, well stocked, everything is clean. It was not hard to get groceries, there is a "supermarket" and a small health food store in Isabela2. The house has good wifi. Its easy to get places from the Villa. We rented a jeep. Every beach we visited was gorgeous. Not everything has re-opened since the hurricane, but there are many nice restaurants open in esperanza (bilis, tin box, bananas), and a few in Isabela2. Karen was wonderful, she was at the house in literally less than 3 minutes when we dropped the remote control to the gate and it reset itself. Oops! But she fixed it! The biobay at night is incredible ( we enjoyed our tourguide peaches from Melayas). Vieques is very mellow, the beaches are undeveloped and unspoiled, it makes for a wonderful off-the-beaten path vacation. And this house is the perfect base for exploring, resting, and refreshing!

Fantastic Villa with amazing views and pool!
We just returned from a week at Villa Destino and didn’t want to leave. Our family has been vacationing on the island for the past 8 years and this time with our 1 year old grandson. Villa Destino was wonderful! It is exactly as it’s described, even prettier. We had 6 adults also, and we had plenty of space. The pool is amazing. We could swim in the morning before heading to the incredible beaches you will only find on Vieques, in the afternoon when we returned, and in the evening after grilling fresh lobster from the fish market. We sat under the stars by the pool after dark. The lights on the palm trees are a really nice touch. The property manager Karen was great and texted us often just to check on us and see if we needed anything. We had no issues at all with power and it was comforting to know that the Tesla system was there. This property is great for all ages. It was our first time staying in the Destino neighborhood and we loved it. Don’t hesitate to go to Vieques if you have any concerns post Maria, and stay at Villa Destino. We love to eat at Bananas in Esperanza and found the food there once again to be incredible.
