Me gusto quedarme aca, volveria.

Se puede caminar a la playa, son unos 10 minutos, bastante bien. Hay un restaurante al lado y otros caminando. Me gusto mucho. hay un balcón en cada cuarto. El staff fue muy amable. El lugar se siente bastante seguro.

La cama podria ser mas cómoda. Pero de ahi todo bien.

Chilled out respectful atmosphere

Loads of info on activities, tours and transport. Good laundry service. Clean, they even fold your sheet for you during each day of your stay. nice garden and toilet/shower block was clean and spacious.

Kitchen was limited and tired. No AC in small rooms - this is a more expensive hostel than others and for that price it should have AC

Todo fue un 10 de 10

Hace un par de semanas fui con mi hermana y el lugar nos pareció super bonito. Todo muy limpio, el personal altamente amable, la habitación estaba sumamente limpia, al igual que todas las instalaciones. El lugar está rodeado de naturaleza y eso lo hace aún más único También tuvimos un desayuno en el restaurante y nos pareció muy rico y además el precio es muy cómodo. La ubicación, el personal, las instalaciones, la comida, el precio, todo nos pareció excelente. Sin duda lo volveríamos a visitar

No es la primera vez que me hospedo acá, pero siempre es un gusto volver. El personal siempre super amable y las instalaciones muy limpias. Perfecto para dormir y realizar actividades en la zona.

The hostel has a beautiful wild garden where you can see many animals. Everything was very clean most of the times. The bed was quite comfortable. It’s located pretty far from the town centre, but close to the beaches which I personally find more important. There is a nice restaurant right next to the hostel.

It doesn’t have A/C, only fans and it was too hot. The beds don’t have curtains (probably because it would be even hotter in the bed) and there is a big hole between the bed and the wall so you can’t really put any things there.

Très belle auberge, proche nature, fonctionnelle

Belle auberge, très bien agencée et décorée avec beaux espaces communs, cuisine, espace sanitaire et jardin verdoyant. Bel atmosphère, calme et à 2 pas d’un arrêt de bus, resto, supérette, plages et parc national Ballena Uvita. Bravo , je recommande ++++

Le frigo est un peu petit pour tous les convives. Sinon RAS

Best hostel I've stayed at in Costa Rica

I've been travelling in Costa Rica for more than 4 months and Karandi was the best hostel I've stayed at so far. Super friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, the property and facilities are very clean and the outdoor kitchen is well equipped. They have a beautiful garden with some hammocks and you can observe lots of birds and other animals. Every dorm has a veranda to chill which is very nice. Right next door is a restaurant with super tasty food and to the beautiful beach it's only a short walk. I've stayed at the hostel for 2 weeks and enjoyed it a lot as it's perfect to relax and you feel super comfortable

Just some tiny details would be nice like maybe curtains by the beds, a small light and a tiny table on the wall next to the bed to put some things

Lovely quiet hostel

Nice quiet hostel quite near the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful and place so clean. Lovely garden with lots of birds.

Very little, but more hooks in the rooms and bathrooms would be great. Just that everything in Uvita is quite far apart.

A good stay

The hostel is quite nice, nice surroundings and the restaurant next to it is amazing with delicious food and drinks. The owner is very friendly, helped us with our trip and recommendations. The beach is a 10 minute walk away which is nice and you are completely in nature. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bathrooms are ok.

The 4 bed dorm rooms are quite small, you don’t have a lot of space for your staff and it only has a fan.

My favourite place 🐋

The owner and staff are the best hosts I've met in Costa Rica, they take care of this place like its their home, down to the little details. I felt very comfortable here. The whole place is always kept very clean. The hammocks, plants and wildlife on the property are such a great touch. The restaurant provides amazing meals with a bar area for the evenings. Que buen hecho ticos, pura vida🍹🌞🌼💛

Mosquitos 🦟 some incense or stronger fans in the kitchen and for patios outside rooms would help

Pleasant and friendly

Location was great and experience was pleasant

I left my bags in storage and was stranded in Dominical overnight and couldn’t get back to pick them up and was charged for that.

Rooms were a bit small but ok. Lockers in the rooms. 2 rooms share a bathroom and shower. Good communial outdoor kitchen. One with alligator in the back. Great, we'll priced restaurant attached. Very good overall

Lovely, clean place, to see lots of

It feels very familiar at this place. It was Always clean and the stuff was very friendly. The owner of the hostel helped me to figured out how to get to Puerto Jiménez, what helped me a lot. Thanks for everything. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Мені сподобалось що тут було досить спокійно і можна чути природу, спів птахів. Поруч живе маленький крокодил, багато ігуан, птахів. Дехто навіть бачив лінивця і єнотів. Працівники і власник дуже привітні добрі люди. Сподобалась поїздка до водоспаду.

Єдине що не сподобалось, що не приймають оплату 100$ копʼюрами

Fijn hostel!

Mooie tuin om dieren te spotten (kaaiman, vogels, hagedissen). Warm onthaal met uitgebreide uitleg over omgeving. Leuke mensen ontmoeten in de keuken. Leuk restaurant naast de deur

Supermarkt is een eindje lopen. Bedden geen gordijntje (dorm verder wel comfortabel!), douche buiten de dorm en koud

Alles zag er goed, schoon en leuk uit De vrouw bij het inchecken was aardig Er zat een goede keuken bij Er waren leuke afgedekte zit gedeeltes De tuin was erg gezellig De locatie was goed

De kamers zouden wat beter van geluid afgezonderd kunnen worden

Exceptional

By far one of my favorite hostels I've ever stayed at. All the dorms seemed to be 4 person ones with a little porch to sit at and overlook the garden area that had hammocks. Lots of birds and lizards hanging out around. The staff is so kind, friendly, accommodating. Huge fridge. All of the other guests were social and every one became fast friends while it was not a party hostel and very quiet by 9am-10am!!

There are only 2 burners on the stove top so there is basically always a queue to cook unless its an odd time most people are out during the day. But this is the only thing I could possibly stay about this hostel!! Stay here if you can!!!

If I‘m back in Uvita I‘ll stay here again

It’s very quite which I absolutely loved. It’s around 10 walking minutes from the beach and it has a nice garden area with hammocks. The kitchen is very well equipped and the hostel was very social. The staff was amazing. They also cleaned every day including making your beds!

Wonderful place full of nature. Staff was very nice! Very clean rooms and facilities. Loved spending time in the garden

Common fridge was a bit overcrowded but it's a very minor thing 😅

Lovely, yet pricy stay in Uvita

Staff is nice and helpful. kitchen is sufficiently equipped. overall very clean. we met a lot of nice other travellers. food in the affiliated restaurant is great.

They have a folder with bus routes but the schedules are not up to date. I made this clear twice to the receptionist, but she could not care less, Pura Vida. It took me about two hours to find out the exact times for a bus, which was annoying. At this price point, I would expect a pool. They offer the whale tour at a price which is way too high. Best offer in town is 45 USD at Aventura Uno. We missed smaller boxes to store food in the kitchen. They only have really big ones that are shared by everyone. the Bunk beds lack small shelf space to put things.

good hostel with nice staff, big clean communal kitchen en a large garden to chill + loads of animals in the garden location is good, in walking distance of the beach there is no aircon, but a fan - which worked perfectly well beds had the springs sticking out like anywhere else in costa rica, but they were clean, not wobbly and a size larger then the usual hostel beds, so perfectly fine

Chill place, has all you need

All was fine, even a place for exercising was available, nice garden, hammock, very well equipped kitchen. Quite and chill. Mini market near by.

Great location and super clean.

The only thing I could fault was the shared kitchen, it’s far too small for the amount of guests and could do with some basics like coffee, salt, sugar.

great!

great relaxed ambiance. staff is super helpful and friendly. rooms as in every hostel, but the guests are very considerate here and the rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need. I loved my stay here and in Uvita and booked an additional two nights!

only disadvantage was that the showers are cold, but that was actually nice after a long hot day in Uvita.
