Great neighborhood. Nice view. Cozy room.

Tong Tong was the perfect stay for my trip. I travelled solo but had a twin room with bunk beds. The rooms are compact but there was ample room for a desk, mini fridge, chair a few hooks, full-length mirror etc. Plus the hotel has common spaces in the basement and on the roof (both inside & outside) where more room is needed. The bathroom was a typical Korean wet room, which might annoy some people but you’re given wet room shoes & I was able to wash my hair fine. Some previous reviews mentioned towels were minuscule but I received a body towel (2 as I was in a twin) plus 4 smaller hand towels & a bath mat.
The location was EXCELLENT. A stone’s throw from the Ikseon-dong hanok streets and all services you’d want, especially when travelling solo. Yet as the hotel was quiet (well insulated) & a few streets off the main road so noise wasn’t an issue. Bukchon, Myeongdong, Eujiro and Gwangjang were all walking distance as well.
The hotel also offers 3x water bottles a day + a filtered tap in reception (as well as two types of tea).
Overall very happy with the hotel but appreciate might not be right if you want lots of space.
It’s worth noting there were previous comments about the smell of damp, which is evident in the hallways of the hotel (where the A/C is lower) but Seoul is incredibly humid so is unsurprising. My room was fine, maybe a mild smell the first night (quarantined to the bathroom, maybe from the drain) but wasn’t a problem.
It’s also worth noting that the front desk hours aren’t all day so you may need to coordinate checkin / bag drop off for storage (which I was able to use within my flight times).

Really friendly and welcoming staff, room was amazing with comfy bed and great facilities. the location was perfect - so many great cafes and sights within walking distance, and an accessible metro station for exploring further afield. loved my stay so much I booked again for when I was next in Seoul! As a solo female I felt perfectly safe walking around the neighbourhood.
