The room was comfortable and helped us unwind after long days exploring Kyoto. It's not located super close to the subway, but it is within walking distance, and it's also close to some bus stops. It is fairly close to the Nishiki market area, which is cool to explore. Also like previous reviews, I love the aroma in the mornings - this is a hotel but also has a restaurant that bakes bread daily for purchase. And lastly, the staff is so nice! I wish I had gotten her name, but the woman who we primarily talked to at the front desk was so nice and helpful - such as accommodating a late check in and helping us ship our luggage to our next destination.
The bathroom was very tight and also required a step up from the room floor, which was a bit of a hazard. There aren't elevators here, which didn't bother us, but could be problematic for some.

お掃除が行き届いていて、とても清潔感のあるお部屋でした。チェックイン前にキャリーケースを預かっていただけたので、そのあと観光しやすかったです。クチコミにもありましたが、朝食がとても美味しかったです。
お部屋が4階で階段しかなかったこと。でも、荷物はスタッフの方が部屋まで運んでくださっていたので、助かりました。
浴槽が思っていたより小さかったこと。

1층은 식탁이 놓여진 베이커리이고 2~4층에 숙소가 있습니다.
방이 작긴한데 정말 깔끔했습니다. 인테리어가 예쁘면서 군더더기 없는 느낌이예요. 침대도 정말 편안했습니다.
조식은 꼭 추가하시길 추천합니다! 다먹었다 생각하면 계속나와요... 너무 배가 불러서 결국 다 못먹어서 너무 아쉬웠어요. 든든한 조식 덕분에 열심히 구경다닐 수 있었던것같아요 :)
화장실이 너무 작았습니다. 남성분들, 특히 덩치큰분들한테는 많이 불편할것같아요. 그렇지만 다른 장점들이 단점을 충분히 보완해주는것같아요.

This gorgeous property is family run and they take such good care of you. The breakfast was amazing for around $12 (they run a bakery from the kitchen downstairs) and the rooms feel in keeping with the area. Everything was spotlessly tidy. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the main shopping strip, river & stations. The metro stations are easy to navigate unlike Tokyo. Lots of places to eat locally and it’s fun checking out the tiny streets. There is a 7/11 and convenience store close by for milk, tea etc.
The whole place is rather small, and the bathrooms are teeny tiny, so if you are a person that needs extra space, this isn’t for you. We found it not a problem as we were out exploring during the day and home in the evening just to sleep.

The property is in a beautiful location, and the staff are so incredibly helpful and lovely - they helped us book a taxi on our last day, and helped us carry our luggage, and were always so polite and kind when we returned home for the day. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, and such good value. The room was comfortable, airy, and light. There was not a low point of our stay, we loved everything about this place!

Our family of four (parents and two adult kids) from California stayed this charming clean cozy place for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome by the host and hostess. The accommodations at Kyono Mori Yurinsha were truly outstanding. Our room was super clean. The bathroom was small but very convenient and shower is comfortable. We cannot say enough about the breakfast at Kyono Mori Yurinsha, five courses served with beautiful decorations, home-made bakeries, Yogurts, tender eggs, juicy bacons, soup, too many to name, were some of the best we have ever tasted, and we enjoyed every meal immensely.
If you are 6 feet tall and over 200 Ib, you may have to squeeze in the bathroom :)

A small, spotlessly clean inn above a working restaurant/bakery. Good location on quiet street, 200 meters from metro (3 stops from Kyoto station), 400 - 800 meters from restaurants and bathhouses in Gion and Kawaramachi, a km walk to temples and gardens at Kiyomizu-dera and Chion-in.
Comfortable beds, small bathroom but with shower and tub and great hot water and pressure.
Two things stand out about this inn. One is the best breakfast I have ever been served at an inn. For Y1000, you get a meal that includes 10-12 homemade items including yogurt, baked goods, coffee/tea, dessert (in 4 days we had chocolate torte, tiramisu, flan, and homemade walnut ice cream), a soup course, and such items as lamb sausage, seafood salad, and scalloped potatoes.
The second is the hostess and her family. She smiles genuinely, laughs easily, and evinces a serene kindness that warms the room and your heart.

The hosts were the loveliest people and excellent bakers and chefs. Really amazing breakfasts and so kind to cater for the vegetarian in our party. It was an absolute delight and privilege to stay in their beautiful property. We couldn't have asked for more.

This little BnB is run by a beautiful couple who really put effort and care into their guests stay. from the moment we arrived they were so helpful and kind. The place is very roomy for Japan and the beds were comfortable.
I can’t rate this place and not mention the breakfast. Every morning there is the smell of freshly baked bread and you are served as incredible meal! make sure you’re hungry. The food is fresh, very delicious and a good range.
Location was also convenient for us. Walking distance to 2 train stations and close to food.
This place was one of the highlights of our time in Japan. Would come back in a heart beat.

The location was on a quiet little street that was not too far from down town. The property had a homey feel to it and the owner was very warm and friendly. It was easy communicating with the host as she spoke english well.

This charming family-run hotel was the perfect place for us to stay in Kyoto. The location is outside the hustle and bustle of the city, tucked away down a small street and only a 2-minute walk to the nearest bus stop. The interior is tastefully designed and thoughtfully decorated. You must get breakfast here!! It is the best! We were served fresh breads (an assortment of tasty bagels, muffins, and scones) and tried both the western and Japanese style breakfasts our two days. Our hosts were so lovely and made us feel super welcome and special. We stayed on the 4th floor (no elevator), but the owners insisted on carrying our bags for us upon check-in and check-out. The hotel was fully booked, but we couldnʻt tell because the rooms were very private and quiet. The owners answered our questions about getting around the city and gave great recommendations. The beds were comfy. The shower area is small but manageable. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks for making Kyoto even more beautiful!

what a gem. breakfast was amazing and filled us up for days of exploring. we always ended up with an extra bagel to carry along. get breakfast early to make sure you have time for all the courses!
our host was very responsive, attentive, and took the time to find some very specific restaurant information for us.
the property is on a bike/pedestrian street, very quiet but also fairly central. about a 25 minute temple-lined walk from Kyoto Station (buses come nearer) and just a few blocks from Nishiki market. getting to everything we wanted to see was very easy from here.
the room (and rest of the property) was tidy and cozy. we enjoyed ending our days with a cup of tea at the small table, and slept very comfortably.
