This property is within 2 minutes down to the centre of the village of Akaroa and all it offers, and is well suited to those wanting to explore the beautiful Bank Peninsula region. Tourist activities include both dolphin watching and swimming with dolphins, guided kayaking, fishing and swimming, hiking, walks and a relaxed village around which you can just stroll and enjoy the views, the people, the atmosphere... There’s a good children’s playground if travelling with children, beaches for playing in and a pleasant drive by car to the outer bays of the Peninsula will find some of the best unspoiled beaches in Canterbury. Banks Peninsula even has a couple of hidden surfing spots which are world renown. The village also boasts a decent sized supermarket, many cafes, and a host of wonderful restaurants. The safe bay also offer great walks and hikes, along with boutique shopping, galleries, wineries and the famous Barry Point cheese factory. Akaroa is 1,5 hours from Christchurch city, and has a regular mini-bus service operating between Christchurch City, and both the International and Domestic airports if you’re arriving from another city. We enjoyed our stay over Labour weekend. The view is great, the accommodation is comfortable and nice and close to the shops and cafes. It was very quiet with just the morning birdsong to wake up to. We were very impressed with the size of the quails that visited us during our stay! We suggest the instructions for the dishwasher be redone as they are very difficult to read. Also perhaps consider having Chromecast on the TV? Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely property.

A nice, clean property with all the amenities. The listing could have made it clearer that the third bedroom was literally just a bunk in the hall by the front door curtained off from the hallway. But apart from that, a great house

Lovely house - large & spacious with plenty of room for two families. The kids loved the curtained sunroom to sleep in and coming off the hallway meant it was isolated. Clean and functional kitchen and two bathrooms. Outdoor wrap around deck and two tables meant you could sit in the sun no matter what time of day - we spent most of our time out there with amazing views of the harbour. Will stay again

Nice house with wonderful view of the harbor. House well stocked with paper products, salt, pepper, foil ,etc. Which is so helpful since we arrived by airplane and couldn't bring all of the essentials. Ability to have privacy out on decks. Highly recommend.
