How many places can you stay and literally listen to the waves as you fall asleep? This home is literally 3 properties away from the lifeguards on Brighton! If you want to really "stay at the beach" then this house is for you! The Space: Welcome to Margaritaville! It's 5 o'clock somewhere and this house is ready for it. From the inside bar to the outside beach-glimpsing patio or cabana-covered patio, you will have nothing to consider but where to take in the best weather in the world! This house features a 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, one of which has a tub. You can sit on the front porch and listen to the waves as all of Ocean Beach passes by on the way to one of the best beaches in San Diego. Or you can relax in the lush oasis of the backyard that is made for beach living. Pagoda, outdoor lights, grill...all that you need to enjoy the outside with friends and family. Guest Access: The entire home is yours including the exclusive use of the outdoor patio adjoining the home (note, however, there is a separate guest house with its own space adjoining the backyard at the rear of the property; while the guest house is adjacent to the backyard it has its own separate parking and outdoor space...While the 2 are connected the spaces are in no way shared (other than the common area washer/dryer in the courtyard)). You may also rent the entire property and host up to 14 guests across 2 separate spaces, please contact us if you are interested. The Neighborhood: OB is the hippest and most "neighborly" of San Diego's beach communities. There is nothing quite like the non-corporate lifestyle of Ocean Beach. The locals here love OB for its eclectic community that supports a range of wonderful small shops, restaurants, bars and coffee houses. You will find some of the best food, drink and shopping in the local area. All of OB is accessible on foot from this location. So enjoy and take it all in! Getting Around: Rental bikes and scooters are plentiful for rent by the hour/day/week. Uber/Lyft are very active in San Diego and the assigned parking guarantees that you will always have parking should you venture out into greater San Diego. Other Things to Note: Note that this is a "traditional" beach bungalow. What that means is that a premium is placed on outdoor space so the rooms are literally connected to one another. However, each room has its own entry ((the master off the main living area and the two back bedrooms have doors that lead directly to the backyard) so privacy can still be had. For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement. Despite any stated cancellation policy, I will refund 100% for any cancellations made prior to 90 days from your arrival date. Thereafter I will refund your rental fee to the extent I am able to re-rent the unit for the days cancelled. This property is pet friendly, though we don't allow cats here. There is a $100 pet fee applied after booking. If you have any questions please ask! Interaction with Guests: We are a self-service destination (check-in details will be sent 3 days prior to arrival). However, we are also a full-service, professional management company (that has been a Superhost/Preferred Partner for over 4 years running) and we are just a phone call/text/email away and have agents that are almost never more than 10 minutes away should a need arise.

It was really nice to stay so close to the beach! There were so many shops and restaurants within walking distance that we rarely ended up using our rental car! Aaron and his team were so helpful and responsive when we had a couple issues pop up during our stay! We even were running a little behind on the day we checked out and he worked with us and was super forgiving! Next time we visit San Diego we will for sure make sure we stay at one of Aaron’s properties!

Margarita was in a perfect location. Met the owners who were very accommodating. Beds were comfortable, right size friends first, family second. Nice front porch from which to watch daily comings and goings on Brighton Avenue. Close to main drag with shops and restaurants. Aaron, property manager, always got right back to me to answer my questions, sometimes helpfully sometimes not so much. Only criticism is no ice machine in frig and no dishwasher. Great place though.

The house was great for a 10 day vacation with my teen kids. It was clean and had everything we needed. The parking in back was a huge bonus, as were the boogie boards! We cooked a lot but also walked to the nearby restaurants and cafes. The beach is just steps away, Ocean Beach is fun to explore, and location has easy access to get around the city. The check in/out was super easy and hosts were very friendly. A great vacation house.

Property was as listed. Had everything we needed to enjoy staying at the house or enjoying the beach! Especially liked the outside shower with hot water! Informed Aaron about a few issues, and he assumed he would take care of them for future guests. The staff was prompt and courteous. Lovely, comfortable stay. Reviews were accurate and helpful.

We had a great stay at this property. The bunk beds were great for my 5 and 6 year olds and the proximity to Ocean Beach was amazing. The property included really cool beach chairs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers, kitchen basics, and the beds were really comfortable. Like other reviewers, we had a problem with the door code when we first got to the property, but Aaron responded to my emails very quickly with the correct code. Communication with him was great throughout our stay!

We have loved our time here in Ocean Beach and this beautiful property has been an awesome home for six months. We are steps away from the water and have enjoyed beautiful nightly sunset walks and sunny beach days through the winter. The property manager was fantastic, very responsive and super professional. Our family of five fit comfortably and the outdoor space was great too. We highly recommend staying here and we hope to return someday!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. What a fabulous location so close to the beach! It's not fancy, but it's cute. We were provided with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and all of the beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys we could ask for! Thanks!

Mostly great house and near perfect location. The cleanliness was not what we would have hoped, but I’m looking through pandemic eyes, so may be judging more harshly than I normally would. Super fun, completely walkable location with just a moment’s walk to the beach. Lots of stores and restaurants within easy walking distance too. Comfortable beds and furniture, fun decor.

The location is great, only a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is nice. The house was not cleaned very well or thoroughly, crumbs were left on the floor. It seemed the staff did not move anything to sweep under or behind. Paper products were very limited and we could only find one towel to use in the kitchen. Loved the area.

Our family of 5 stayed here along with our dog. We loved how close to the beach, about a block and half, was to this little home. The dog beach is very close by and our dog loved it. The wifi was good as my husband and i had to log in for work a few times. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked quite a bit and used the outdoor grill which looked pretty new. The front room gets pretty warm even when windows are opened. so be aware during July/Aug. We went in July which is hot even in San Diego.The bedrooms have a/c units and were very cool. The patio in back is a very nice space and cool to hang out in the evenings. There are a lot of flies outside though but we could deal with that. We could let our dog roam around once the people that rented the back house left with their dog. If someone rents at the same time there is no barrier to the back patios and could be a problem if both renters have dogs. The owners provided beach chairs/umbrellas and boogie boards and beach towels which was great. This a great little place for a getway and our family would love to return when the pandemic is over to explore more of the area.

We loved this place. We really enjoyed both outdoor spaces. We would drink coffee in the morning out in front and people watch. We would enjoy dinner and games in the back patio in the afternoon. It’s super close to the beach and restaurants and shops. Oh, and the couch and giant ottoman are super comfy.

Our family loves spending long weekends in San Diego. We typically stay at a 4 star hotel at Pacific Beach but the suite we usually get was not available. We have used Home Away for vacation rentals in the past so we checked and found this home at Ocean Beach. It was perfect! Everything our family needed at a fraction of the price!
