About this cottage rental
Woiworung Cottage is a charming, early settlers cottage (1860), decorated and furnished to match its age. It features a wood heater, a reverse cycle air conditioner and electric heaters. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a stovette ( which has a small oven and two hotplates), microwave and fridge. Please note there is no freezer section in the fridge. The bathroom has a shower over a hip bath. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk and toiletries are included. A maximum of four people can stay at the cottage in a queen and two single beds. Your hosts live on the property in a separate house. Come and see the sheep plus our adorable toy poodle Basil. We can guarantee you will have a peaceful nights sleep. Please bring your own linen and towels ( bottom sheet, doona covers and pillow cases) Linen can be provided for $20 per person per short stay ( up to 3 days). Children are welcome. The cottage is heritage listed by the National Trust and is about to be heritage listed by the local Council.
Please note the following at the cottage:
1. It was hand built by an early settler and the foundations are large stones. The floor is uneven in the bathroom.
2. Some of the doors frames are very low and could be an issue if you are tall.
3. There is a possum (s) that live in the roof. We can't remove him/her/them as the roof space access will only fit a 3 year old child through it. You may hear him moving about occasionally!
4. There is no wifi or tv at the cottage but there is good mobile phone coverage.

Loved this little period cottage which suited our needs perfectly - overnight accommodation for a cycling getaway. Its rustic, and a bit out of town, so reign in your expectations, but has all the necessary comforts for a short stay. Our hosts were very helpful, although we didn't get to meet them in person.

We found the property clean and provided with sufficient materials (wood, AC and wall heaters) token us warm on a very chilly weekend. We had quite a bit of difficulty with the back door lock and had to use the front door for exit. A phone call to the owner was not picked up. The seating in the lounge area sagged badly - difficult for seniors to get out of ! - and the undulating floors also a bit of a trip hazard.
