Amazing breakfast. Loved the quiet location.
The family was very friendly and helpful.
The internet connection was reasonable but not enough if you are working away.
There is a very noisy hotel and a religious service nearby that can keep you awake. Also dogs barking and peacocks but hey - it's Sri Lanka!

Talalla is a very quiet little village, which suited me perfectly. The house was a 2-minute walk from the beach, and one minute from a little shop which provided everything basic. Several restaurants were also within walking distance, but as it was off-season, some of the places were closed. The host provided a delicious breakfast and dinner on request.
This is Sri Lanka, so there was quite a lot of noise around - from another hotel, a temple, the dogs and peacocks.
None of it bothered me, though.

The staff was amazing and the location too. Nice place to sit outdoors. Quiet stay very close to the beach
The room was small. There is no window but a door to a private balcony that has no mosquito net so no movement of air most of the day
