Der sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Herr an der Rezeption. Großes geräumiges Turmzimmer. Tolle Unterstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Biergarten mit Wiener Küche direkt am Schloss. Ruhige Lage.

Wir haben uns im Schloss Wiesenthau mit Bekannten getroffen, um von dort aus Wanderungen in der Fränkischen Schweiz zu unternehmen. Der Schlossherr hat uns persönlich begrüßt – ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen eignet sich Wiesenthau hervorragend: Direkt vom Schloss führt ein schöner Weg hinauf auf den Hausberg Walberla, und mit dem Auto erreicht man in kurzer Zeit zahlreiche weitere Startpunkte in der Umgebung. Besonders gefallen hat uns das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet, welches in einem historischen Rittersaal serviert wird. Die Betten in unserem Zimmer waren sehr bequem. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen.
Ein kleiner Hinweis am Rande – Klagen auf hohem Niveau: Unser Zimmer hatte eine Badewanne, aber keine eigene Duschkabine. Wir haben daher im Sitzen geduscht, was uns nicht weiter gestört hat. Wer allerdings Wert auf eine Stehdusche legt, sollte das im Hinterkopf behalten.
