Our week at the beautiful Villa La Madonnina was more spectacular than we ever imagined! My family of six were in awe of the beauty that surrounded us from the amazing views to the beautiful flowers and gardens to the interesting art and pottery throughout the house. The house was very well appointed, we found everything that we needed even pool floats and masks. Luca filled the fridge for us which was a huge help considering we did not know where the grocery store was and we had all traveled a long distance so when we arrived we were able to make lunch and an Aperol Spritz!Teresa is an absolute doll, between hand gestures and Google translate we were able to communicate. We did have Teresa make dinner for us and it was one of the highlights of our trip, she and her adorable husband Luigi cooked and served us on the beautiful terrace. The only difficulty we had was transportation, the driveway is very steep and narrow, you have to back in and getting in and out on a busy road is challenging so we only took the car out once. We did walk to the Marina de Praia several times for dinner, the walk is not for the faint of heart, but we did get used to it. There were several restaurant options so considering the cost of taxi's we ate there three nights. My personal favorite was Armandino's, we were able to arrange a boat taxi through them to pick us up on the platform. Swimming every day was worth all of the trade offs, the crystal blue water, the little cove and the ease 10/10!

Beautiful views. Easy walking distance to restaurants in Marina di Priao. Water taxis from Marina was great way to get around. Villa has everything you need and we enjoyed the pool and swimming in the ocean below the villa. Villa owner was great to deal with. Recommend Sea and Sun for boat tour, The Shark for water taxis and Benvenuto to get from train station to Villa. Would definitely return to this villa.

My family (husband and I, my mother, 2 kids - aged 3 yrs and 18 months) stayed at the villa the first week of April 2009. The house is amazing - spacious, breathtaking views, extensive outdoor area - decks, pool, lemon grove, stairs leading down to the water. The pictures and description are 100% accurate. The main large deck is well gated and our children were able to play freely; there was a crib available for us to use. Large screen TV and wireless access were appreciated amenities. Every room has a view and a window that opens - heaven! Teresa cooked us one of the best meals we had in all of Italy. We found the grocery delivery that Frank has arranged extremely helpful. The house was conveniently located - we visited Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, as well as made easy stops at the Grotto Esmerelda and roadside ceramics shops. I would highly recommend this villa and hope to stay there again in the future.
