Hosts are very welcoming and kind, truly exhibiting the aloha spirit. Their property is spacious and well kept. There is a lovely pool, a trail that goes to the ocean, and a room with all necessary amenities. We stayed for 3 nights and were able to easily get to all the places in Hilo (National Parks, MaunaKea, Snorkeling sites)

* Michael and Laura have beautiful home and were very welcoming and accommodating. * Laura offered meatloaf and a smoothie, both which were delicious.

* It wasn’t a big deal for us, but the property is a good 20-25 miles from downtown Hilo. * The frogs at night are really loud. Nothing that a good pair of earplugs can’t remedy.
