What an amazing stay, such hospitality from the hosts. Treated us like royalty. The view was better than we could have asked for and location was central to all the town in the jungfrau region. We will be back!

My wife and I came to Lauterbrunnen to enjoy the peacefulness of this bucolic valley. We stayed for 10 days. While the short strip of commercial establishments that make up the town is very crowded, the location of this apartment separated us from that busyness. Our host, Christin, was very kind and checked in to make sure we were enjoying the apartment. She and her family went the extra mile to pick us up from the train station and then also return us to the train station at an early hour. The apartment has a nice view of Staubbach Falls, and is just a short walk away from the falls. While the apartment is removed from town, which requires you to either drive a short distance, take the bus in from the convenient bus stop very nearby, or walk like we did, the quiet setting is well worth it! We are in our mid-sixties and reasonably fit and were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Though, the shortcut your host will show you to get to the bus stop or to walk into town is short but quite steep. Again, the location and the amenities that this apartment offers, for us, made the walk a non-issue, and we in fact enjoyed it very, very much. If we are fortunate enough to make it back to Lauterbrunnen, we will stay at this apartment again.

Beautiful Swiss residence built by Christin’s father. Fabulous view of Stabbauch Falls and valley. Hosts even gave rides at arrival and departure. Can walk to town or catch bus easily. Absolutely a dream vacation and fiftieth anniversary for us.

Christin and her husband picked us up from the train station and dropped us off after our stay. The location is convenient to either walking or bus and was very peaceful and quiet. Ours hosts reached out to us during our stay to check in that everything was good and we appreciated that. Definitely recommend the property and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Beautiful place and apartment.

My wife and I spent two weeks at this wonderful place and loved it. This was our second visit and we hope to return.
Lauterbrunnen is not undiscovered thanks, apparently, to instagram, but it is still beautiful. This year it was crazy with tourists and noisy during the day in the town itself. I would not recommend this as a place to stay if you plan to drive to other locations.
But if you travel light, enjoy spectacular beauty and have a relaxed approach to your traveling this is perfect.
Great people own it and are on site to help if needed.

The apartment was just across the staubach falls which made the place one of the best we have ever stayed at. The property is also big and have the comfiest bed. The place has all the things one could ever need while travelling.
Also Christin and Franke are just so wonderful and very approachable. They have arrange a pick up and drop at the train station which made our trip a lot easier. Our stay was just purely amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at Christin and Franke's property in Lauterbrunnen. The location was perfect, just steps from the world-famous Staubbach Falls and a short 8-10 minutes’ walk or a short bus ride away from the train station. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The view from their property is the best!
The apartment was beautifully furnished and very clean. It had a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The water pressure was great and the hot water never disappointed. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher, but we did not really miss it much with the light cooking we did there.
There is no on-site laundry, but there is a very nice laundromat one bus stop away which worked out well for us. Just remember to take 5CHF coins each for washing and drying. The apartment has cable TV and free Wi-Fi. I would recommend guests getting an e-sim for data in case you have issues with the Wi-Fi, we got from Airalo and it worked great everywhere in Switzerland.
They also have free onsite car parking for your car.
Christin, Franke, along with their daughter Nadine were wonderful hosts. They were kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the train station, and they made our stay in Lauterbrunnen very enjoyable. We would highly recommend their property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in this beautiful part of Switzerland.

We absolutely were thrilled when we arrived at Barnerhuus; the home sits directly across from Staubbach Falls and has a fabulous view of the mountains, so we spent most of our time outside soaking in that splendor. We stayed a week and were disappointed we hadn’t booked a longer stay. — Next year!!

Breathtaking views!
Amazing place to stay for a week or more, clean, quiet, close to bus stop, great amenities. Rated 4 star just because there is no laundry onsite and the wifi can only be accessed outside the main entrance, not inside or at the patio. Other then that I would hands down stay there again!

A little piece of paradise!
What a fantastic experience we have had staying with the Franke family at their Lauterbrunnen apartment! The location is perfectly placed for both public transport as well as driving access to all of the sights you would want to visit during your stay.
The view directly from the apartment is incredible also. What makes the stay extra special and worth every penny is the warmth and friendliness by the Franke family who are ever present but from a distance so as to not be intrusive at all. We enjoyed speaking with them all and playing with little Mia (their 3mth puppy) during our trip!
The apartment comes exactly as described with every little detail well thought out. We would not hesitate in staying here again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family!

Lovely apartment with super views over Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding mountains. The apartment was warm, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The Franke family were so welcoming and were very kind to collect us fron the train station on arrival and also bring us back on departure. The apartment is very well situated for exploring the Jungfrau region. We would definitely recommend this apartment and we would have no hesitation in returning.

The rooms were as we expected from the pictures but we didn't expect the spectacular views from our private patio area. Being up on the hill allowed us views to the mountains at the end of the valley. Christen and Manfred were very helpful including picking us up from the train station. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect view!
We had a great time here - the view from the patio across to the falls is perfect. Location wise it’s only a 10 minute walk to the station so was perfect for us. The property was very clean and the hosts very friendly - they even picked us up from the station when we arrived

Clean, functional apartment situated overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Well equipped and snug..all you need for a holiday stay. One single bedroom and double fold away bed in kitchen/ living area holds 3 people comfortably, but not much space to store luggage in main living area.Lovely seating area outside, through patio doors leading from kitchen/diner. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Overall, a great holiday apartment with warm welcoming hosts.

Absolutely wunderbar!
Cozy, quiet, clean apartment that was perfect for me, my wife, and daughter. Small separate bedroom gave our daughter some privacy, and the murphy beds in the living room for me and my wife were very comfortable. Christin and her family (3 generations of the family live in the beautiful home) were exceedingly friendly and helpful. And the location. Oh my, the LOCATION! A short walk to the town of Lauterbrunnen, but far enough to be quiet. Just high enough on a hill to have a clear view of everything. A backyard area where we sat and ate our breakfasts in the fresh air while gazing down the length of the glorious Lauterbrunnen valley. Or watching the Staubbach falls, letting the gentle white noise lull us into relaxation. (We left our windows open, and fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the falls). We will never forget this vacation and hope to come back some day.

We loved our stay in there apartment. The hosts christin and her husband our extremely kind and loveable, They specially came to pick us up and drop us to station. The apartment is situated in the best valley of Lauterbrunnen giving views to snow covered mountains, waterfall and flower valleys.
We would highly recommend this place for those planning trip to switzerland.

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The views were amazing. It was wonderful to sit out on that patio in the evening and take in the gorgeous views of the waterfall and mountain. It was such a wonderful, quiet, peaceful place to be. It truly felt like home. Christin and her husband were so welcoming, and were so kind to pick us up and drop us off at the train station. We look forward to returning!

Extremely pleasant stay with friendly hosts and perfect location
Organising to stay here was one of the great successes of our trip. The location was perfect with a free 5 minute shuttle bus to the station, and a fabulous view of Lauterbrunnen. Christin and her Husband were wonderful hosts and even kindly gave us a lift to and from the station on our arrival/departure. We highly recommend this place to stay!

As soon as we met Kristin we felt at home. Very warm and welcoming and happy to help in any way they can. Lauterbrunnen is a fantastic place to stay. For us it was like being in wonderland; very picturesque, friendly and above all peaceful this time of year.
The apartment is well furnished and equipped and the view is simply superb. We will go back again, any time of the year.

Great place to stay in Lauterbrunnen
We spent two weeks in this apartment in July and had a great time. We found the listing and photographs gave us an accurate picture of what to expect. The well equipped apartment is compact, but has all you need to self cater as we do and offers great value for money compared to other properties in the area. The fold down bed is very comfortable and easy to put away during the day. The use of the patio area with amazing views up the valley is an added bonus for fine weather and we made good use of the garden furniture provided.
The owners were very kind, collecting us from the station and taking us back at the end of our stay. We have never experienced with any holiday rentals before and that was much appreciated.
The walk to and from the station took about 10 minutes or so, taking the path down beside the carpentry workshop and the little high bridge which leads across the river and into the station. On the couple of occasions it rained we took the bus for a couple of stops.
We would happily return to stay here and hope to do so.

Beautiful Location & Perfect Stay!
We stayed at Christin's apartment last week and it was the most amazing and beautiful location! It is directly across from the Staubbach Falls! It is off the main street so it is extremely quiet. It has an outdoor space, kitchen, and bathroom that was perfect for 2 people or even 3 if you need it. The home was secure, clean, and ideal for a long stay in Lauterbrunnen! There are bus-stops and the train stop within walking distance.
Also, we were able to sleep with our windows open every night enjoying the sound of the waterfalls, which I thought was absolutely priceless. We would definitely recommend this apartment!

Fantastic, beautiful, comfortable stay!
Extremely clean and cosy apartment, making the stay in the awesome Lauterbrunnen out of this world! Everything was well-maintained. Simply love waking up to the Staubbach falls every morning. 3 bus-stops away or walking to train station isn't a problem for us since the bus is frequent and follows the schedule perfectly. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a base in Lauterbrunnen to explore Jungfrau, Grindelwald, Murren, Wengen etc.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of the most beautiful valley in the world
We really looked forward to staying here. We had been to Lauterbrunnen once before in a hotel, and we were very excited about getting an apartment. We were in no way disappointed. The apartment was small yet adequate. Everything we needed was there. The fold down beds were nice to put away so you had a real room to sit in. We really enjoyed sitting on our own little patio and looking down the valley! The property is very close to the village, and walking is easy. We took evening meals at the campground down the creek on a few nights and found the staff and food to be great value. We would heartily recommend this property to anyone for a great visit to the Lauterbrunnen valley!

We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful apt. for 6 nights in Bernese Oberland. Weather wasn't perfect, but that didn't matter! The views can't be beat. TRULY! Clean, has everything including very good WiFi! Would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone!
