It was a compact apartment, which was perfect for a short stay and meant it was faster to clean at the end. There was free parking at the front of the building. All the bedding and towels were included. The flat had a kettle and a teapot 😍 and also coffee filter papers and a spare plug adapter, all nice touches for English visitors. We didn't visit the pool and garden but could see from the balcony it was all well maintained. The apartment is within a short walk of two big grocery stores and the fascinating historical centre - at teatime there are a lot of pilgrims and walkers arriving.
There is an E150 cash deposit which, as we pay for everything on cards these days, is awkward for ATM fees and bits of left over money when we leave France, but you get plenty of advance notice and perhaps the owners have experienced some bad visitors.

Good position just outside St Jean Pied de Port, easily accessible by foot and from the railway station. Well appointed apartment and enjoyed use of the outdoor pool and table tennis table (bats and ball provided). Good communication from host although we didn't meet.
The mosquitos on the balcony! Additional hidden cost of 25 euros cleaning fee that we weren't aware of (couldn't find it in the listing).

The house was a perfect size for 2 adults. The location was close to everything we needed during our visit. The host was exceptionally prompt when answering questions.
We would have preferred to have a WiFi connection, but none was available. This did NOT cause us any problems and were able to make do during our 2 days in the house.

Great location and very helpful and accommodating staff. We arrived quite late but Aurore was easily contactable and came out after hours to let us in.
