We are in the heart of the beloved Rockridge/Claremont area, known for its great shops, restaurants and boutiques. Location: Ideal location in the Rockridge/Claremont area: leafy residential street steps away from amazing shopping and restaurants on College Ave, 10 min walk to SF Bay area rail system (Rockridge BART station), 2 min from Bus No 51 to UC Berkeley, across the street from Casual Carpool and the E Bus, which gets you to San Francisco in 20 min. No car needed! Short bike ride to downtown Berkeley and UC campus. Centrally located to access Napa/Sonoma wineries, Redwoods, Marin County and many more tourist attractions. House: Charming and bright in-law detached cottage, situated in a year round green backyard behind a main house, has two gorgeous French doors and private flat entrance suitable for people with limited mobility. Though our home sits in among busy streets, you come to a quiet oasis. Ideal for one and a cozy fit for two guests. Enjoy our big flat screen TV from a Murphy full size bed with integrated storage or from a double drop-leaf table that maximize the living space. High speed Internet is available. Our efficiency kitchenette with electric cook top, under counter fridge, microwave, coffee maker, utensils, plates and silverware is comfortable for simple cooking. We make sure you have an array of spices, oils, vinegar, coffees, teas, sugar and creamers and a beautiful welcome basket to satisfy your salty or sweet tooth. Enjoy your meals at our sunny private patio table right next to the cottage. Newly remodeled full bathroom (shower only), plenty of storage. This place provides delightful leisure for any traveler. Street parking is available and free on weekends, limited Mon-Fri to two hours parking from 8am till 6pm (car has to be moved between 10am and 4pm). Unrestricted parking is available a few blocks away on Brookside Ave (east of Claremont Ave), Hillcrest Road and Uplands. Public laundry facilities are available in the neighborhood. Good apartment in a good neighborhood, expensive of course, but neat, well-maintained houses. Studio is very clean and cheerful. The bed takes a little getting used to, since it's a Murphy bed, so you're oriented sideways. The only real complaint would be the lukewarm shower. Otherwise, very nice.

Overall, this rental is in a pretty neighborhood at a wonderful location near BART, a Safeway and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. However, hot water, heat, nice pillows, a functioning toilet and doors that lock are pretty essential items. None of those things were present during my stay. In fact, one night it was so cold that I checked into a hotel so I could take a shower and get a good night's sleep. I hope that the owner is able to do some repairs and upgrades. Otherwise, I would not stay there again and would recommend that others "pass" on this place.

We loved the property. Beautiful and peaceful. Great place for short stay like a weekend or couple of days. However we were there in two weeks! The bed is not what I expected. My husband and I are tall and the Murphy bed is short. Overall our stay was good.

I booked this place for my parents and it was perfect. The place was super cute (as advertised), the coffee was great. They really enjoyed the little outside seating area for reading and/or snoozing. Both the host and the owner went above and beyond helping my mom locate her lost purse, which was a huge help and greatly appreciated. My parents report that they would love to come back.

Great location enabled us to get to Berkeley quickly and easily. Smaller unit worked well given we were out and about for most of our weekend. Side entrance made it easy-in, easy-out as well. Would stay here again.

This place is quite small, but it was wonderful for my one-person stay. Everything is as shown in the listing. The place is separate from the main house, but it’s very private and quiet. What a gem! I want to add that the neighborhood is great. It’s a short block’s walk to the Claremont/College shopping area, where you can find just about anything you want.

This property was so tiny that the double bed had to fit in sideways. It was inaccurately described on the VBRO web page as being in Piedmont (which is one reason we rented it). There was no hint on that page that room is barely 150 sq ft. (Though the patio is nice.) We have traveled the world, and found ourselves from time to time in small hotel rooms, but this casita took the prize. Rather than stay the second night, we decamped to a hotel.
