The location is perfect, 20m walk to the beach and at the centre of Midi. Staff were really lovely and you can book an onsite massage!
The only downside was the fan was extremely loud and not very efficient

We absolutely LOVE this place. We came to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon, and for the first couple weeks stayed in boutique hotels. Laguna Surfing stay was our last stop and our absolute favourite. It's simple, but completely perfect. We stayed in the family room with the balcony overlooking Lazy Left surf break and spent our mornings drinking coffee watching the waves, popping up to the roof to check Lazy Right too, and then walking across the road to the surf. It was absolute bliss. Watching the sunrise from the rooftop was a highlight too. Isuru, the host, is so kind and helpful - nothing at all is a trouble. The beds are incredible comfortable, and the property itself feels really secure and safe despite just being on the main road. There's plenty of space for board storage, clothes lines on the roof to dry swimwear etc, and they offer laundry service too. Our room had simple kitchen facilities which was everything we needed, and there's a shared kitchen too. The place just has such a lovely vibe - we didn't want to leave, and wish we'd been able to spend more time there. Midigama itself is our favourite place on the south coast with so many amazing places to eat and get coffee, and the best surf spots. When we come back, this is where we'll stay. Really can't wait to return.
The only issue is the noise that comes from the parties at "Lazies" - the surf hostel down the road - twice a week. They go super late into the night, and even if you use earplugs the noise vibrates through the room, haha. But it's just one of those things and didn't affect our experience at all.

i had such an amazing stay - perfect location, clean room, the roof was great with views of lazy left and right, good wifi, Isuru was so nice and helpful also

The location, the host
No AC in the rooms in ground floor, you can never really get the humidity out, bathroom is pretty run down, fish is being dried across the street (you can smell it from the room), some seating options in the garden would be nice— the place deserves a little more love!
