Unfortunately, this is the third year I have stayed at Mandarin Oriental Doha, and the experience was disappointing.
The main issue was the poorly organized valet parking service, with repeated and unjustified delays in retrieving my car. This was due to the valet handling vehicles for visitors of the entire Msheireb area, whereas hotel guests should be given priority.
In addition, I experienced a serious lack of coordination and billing management. The last night’s charge was collected twice within less than an hour—my husband paid after receiving a call from the hotel, and I was then asked to pay again when I visited the reception due to a lost room key. This happened because the system was not properly checked and there was poor communication among staff, causing unnecessary delay and disruption to me.
Although there were other issues during my stay, I chose to overlook them. However, these major problems significantly affected the overall experience and do not reflect the standards expected from a hotel of this name.
