Perfect location for turists

Super spacious room, awesome staff

I mean, where do I start?! 🙂 The room was crazily big (I opted for the superior double room); even if it’s close to the street and our room was close to the reception on the ground floor, it was so quiet, we had a great rest. The blankets were long enough for my boyfriend who is 6.7 ft and the bed was a large King size. They have all the amenities one might need. The bathroom was stocked with everything you can think of, including toothbrush and toothpaste. The bed linen was smelling super fresh and the pillows were so comfy. Because we are smokers, I had asked for a room close to a smoking area and they were happy to accommodate that, which was super nice! Because of covid, they had to change the breakfast process, which means you need to order the night before and when you go down for it, they bring it to you already all prepared. There are hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. Parking is quite spacious and is free of charge. The castle is a 10mins walk, if that’s what you’re after seeing while in Hunedoara. The hotel is quite new, the interior looks well kept, the rooms style doesn’t feel outdated. And lastly, the staff is soooo friendly. Which during these times with the pandemic feels a lot more reassuring. Great job, guys! 👍🏻

Wonderful located and clean hotel

Excellent location, walking distance from Corvinilor Castle, sparkly clean and the cleaning every day of our 4 day stay was done impeccably

Very clean, modern, spacious and good location

Very clean, spacious apartment and with modern appliances. In the room you have everything you need, tea, coffee machine Nesspreso with caps, also water for free. Breakfast was very rich! You had plenty of choices and the best was the orange fresh machine and as well available was palinca.

Recommend to find a solution for an elevator. For old people or with reduced mobility it is very difficult to use the stairs. Also would recommend to inform on Booking that pool is open until September, you should ask before booking.

Excellent hotel, located in the old city centre, close to the Castle. Amazing pool. Delicious breakfast-freshly squeezed orange juice.

Altogether, it was a nice stay, the whole package (hotel and staff) was good!

The facilities were great, we just peaked at the outdoor pool, but looked amazing. It was clean, I mean spotless bathroom, and very nice sheets and towels. The bed itself was just as bit stiff as we like it, so that was a big plus. The breakfast was exceptional, they had everything, and even more with on the spot made fresh orange juice, to some local sweets.

We needed a cot for our baby, and it might had been that we are used to our own, but it either seemed that it was super hard, or it was missing the mattress from it (didn't care to check late night, by taking the cot apart), either way, our boy did not slept that well (thus we didn't either) the night we have stayed. The other thing is outside of their control, but the nearby streets were dig up, and I mean half a meter deep, whole streets and the main square, that was not the best sight, and with the heavy machines working in the morning hours, was also a bit disturbing.

one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at!

I’ve stayed at many hotels throughout Europe. Hotel Astoria rates among the best. The hotel was very clean, had many amenities, delicious breakfast, and the staff was extremely friendly.

Superb

We had a really lovely stay at Astoria Hotel. The room was amazing, really big, comfortable and incredibly clean. The hotel also looks really elegant. The staff is really nice and helpful. Totally recommend staying here.
