About this cottage rental
Nestled in Sag Harbor, this lovely cottage for $600 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Beech Tree Cottage is a charming, fully-furnished two-story cottage in the picturesque village of Sag Harbor, NY (the Hamptons). It's an easy 5-minute walk along the waterfront to Sag Harbor's Main Street, and a short drive to the beach. The owners are year-round residents who live next door. The cottage has its own private entrance and off-street parking. The back deck, with barbecue grill and bistro table and chairs for outdoor dining, is trellis-screened for privacy. The two bedrooms upstairs have a queen size bed and two twins, all with memory foam mattress toppers. Linens and towels are provided. The lounge and kitchen/dining area is decorated in nautical/beach style, with white slipcovers and English pine furniture. Other features include a cast iron fireplace stove (gas), wireless internet access, flat-screen TV, VCR/DVD, & many books and games. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishware, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave, etc. Accommodates 4 people, maximum. PLEASE NOTE: - We are currently only accepting booking requests for ONE WEEK or longer for dates between Memorial Day and Labor day. After May 1, we will open up for short stay requests at which point our minimum stay is 2 NIGHTS; 3 nights on holiday weekends. - Access to the bedrooms is via narrow spiral staircase, which may be unsuitable for the elderly or infirm, and very young children or babes in arms. - The bathroom is downstairs; bedrooms are upstairs. - We regret we are unable to provide beach passes, but we can direct you to one or two non-lifeguard local beaches which do not require parking permits or you can purchase day passes at the beaches. - We do not allow pets, no matter how small, well-behaved, or non-shedding. COVID-19 Policy: In an effort to protect our guests, ourselves and our community, we have adopted the following actions and policies: - All surfaces are thoroughly disinfected between guests, with the cleaning solution left to stand for 3-5 minutes - All towels and linens are thoroughly washed between guests, and we provide guests with individual towels and hand towels - The cottage is equipped with tissues, paper towels, hand soap, sanitizer, and disposable masks for guests - All cleaning and other services to the cottage are accomplished wearing masks and gloves.

Beachtree cottage ended up being the perfect home base for our busy wedding weekend. The location was perfect, easily accessible to all our events and also close to town/ restaurants to enjoy Sag Harbor. The cottage itself was so charming and cozy! Our big complaint was not having 1 more day.

Beech Tree Cottage was perfectly positioned close to all amenities and restaurants. The cottage was perfect for a short stay, spacious living room and kitchen, spiral staircase was quite steep, but property’s listing did mention this, so no surprise. Great little cottage.

Some small matters like we had to ask for wash rags, no soap in the bathroom, nor hand soap in the kitchen, & the skillet was not usable. BUT, main problem is that if you're a male over 60 & have a large prostate & need to go to the bathroom during the night it's a problem. There is NO bathroom on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are so you have to go down a precarious spiral stairway to relieve. That is the principal problem & why we won't be going back. Nice people though.

We had the BEST time visiting the Beach Tree cottage. It was so clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. On the rainy weekend it was a perfect place to snuggle up with a warm cup of tea with friends. Would highly recommend for anyone!

Timeless Cozy Cottage
Beech Tree Cottage, tucked into the corner of quiet but architecturally historic and beautiful Glover Street, is the perfect whisper to the exclamation point that can sometimes be the Hamptons. The cottage is the perfect strolling distance to town and drive to beach. Close enough to the water to feel her salty breath. I only wish we had more time to tuck into her, indulge in the silence and stillness, pull out one of the many books on her shelves and dream...

Memorial Day Stay
We had such a nice long weekend at the cottage. Very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for my wife and I and our two young sons. The walk to town made everything so easy to access, not to mention the beautiful views along the water on the way. Sag is much an ideal location for spending time in the Hamptons. Would definitely recommend. Stephen and Emma were lovely guest and made sure we had everything we needed while giving us complete privacy during our stay. Thumbs up!

Quiet, comfortable, convenient beach spot
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. The place was clean and comfortable. No surprises and it was incredibly convenient -- perfect for cooking casual dinners, walking into town, and heading to the beach for a week. The owners were responsive with booking, check-in, etc., but totally unintrusive -- although the cottage is behind their home, it has its own entrance and driveway and feels plenty secluded. All in all loved our stay!

Perfect Place to Stay out East!
My fiancé and I stayed at the cottage last weekend and absolutely loved it! We've usually stayed in East Hampton or Amagansett but after this trip we will only be staying in Sag! The cottage was beautiful, very well decorated, clean, and so cozy. Short walk to town made this truly the ideal vacation get away. Hope to be back soon!

Charming as advertised. Loved it
Our family had a fabulous time at this Sag Harbor cottage. Every detail and the decor was thought out. We really experienced the cottage to be warm. It was decorated in a "homey" way, devoid of pretense and full of personal touch. The walk to town was lovely and took about 12 min or so. We love Sag Harbor and were able to enjoy it by spending time at Bay Beaches, playing softball with friends at "mash" park. My wife and I enjoyed the Beacon for dinner which is a 7 min walk. I would highly recommend this property for sure and we've already planned another stay. Enjoy!

Beautiful Haven
I discovered a gem. This was the most wonderful place to stay - I just fell in love with the cottage. It was so cosy and comfortable, and everything in it done to such a high standard, surrounded by beautiful interesting and varied books - always treasured a moment with a wonderful read on the comfy sofa by the log fire when the weather was doing its own thing. Emma and Steve were fantastic, so kind, and it was all beautifully done and run. Beds and linen so comfortable, power shower and coffee machine, very well equipped and everything to make my stay so enjoyable - it was gorgeous. And so handy for everything in town - an A1 location too. I had a bike for trips to Shelter Island etc but didn't even need it for day to day living in the beautiful Sag Harbor - I got the hang of the local buses for travel to East Hampton and surrounds and the Jitney up the road to get to the city from time to time, not that I ever wanted to leave this beautiful retreat! Thankyou both (and Louie!!) for a blissful time spent in your special part of the world - I will definitely be back again soon.

lorsque nous avons ouvert la porte nous avons été surpris par le cote cosy, confortable et chaleureux de l endroit : belles décorations, livres jouets dvd disques a disposition, cuisine super bien équipée (merci Emma !)
les chambres au premier etage, sous le toit sont joliment décorées avec une literie très confortable (1 grand lit et 2 lits jumeaux) et la salle de bain (douche) est impeccable avec des serviettes épaisses ..tout est propre, bien entretenu avec mille petites attentions qui rendent le lieu si accueillant...
le tout avec vue sur jardin (terrasse et la campagne environnante.
le centre ville de Sag Harbor est a 10 minutes a pied, nombreux magasins et restaurants,( je recommande le restaurant de l American Hotel sur Main street, hmmm)
la plage et yacht club sont juste a cote…
Quand nous nous y avons séjourne, en décembre, le village et ses superbes maisons étaient décorées pour Noel, nous avons passe une semaine magnifique en famille avec mon petit fils de 7 ans >\

The cottage accommodations were superb for our group of 4.
The place is bright and cheerful and so comfortable to just relax in.
The location could not have been better for walking, strolling, bicycling.
We loved having plentiful towels.
Warm quilts were needed for the first night and were easily found in bedroom closet.
The kitchen was nicely put together and seemed to have everything needed. i wished we had planned a meal in! Only one exception - lots of tea was available (as a tea drinker, that is so unusual to find!), but my coffee drinker friends should have brought their own - we forgot to. No worries, lots of choices in town for take out!
As noted by by another reviewer, the spiral staircase is very narrow and not for large people. Getting our wheeled carry-on luggage up the steps required coordination to lift them up rather than carry them!
But we can tolerate all that and will definitely be booking again sometime.

My husband, 4 yr old, sister and I spent 3 nights at Beech Tree Cottage in August and had a fantastic stay. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean and comfortable. The furnishings were better than you'd expect for a rental. The other amenities, eg beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, barbeque with charcoal, made us feel right at home. Great shared outdoor garden. We enjoyed walking down to the marina and into town. We would return in a minute. Thanks Emma & Steve for the great stay.

Very quaint cottage for a cozy getaway. Nicely stocked with just about everything you could need...especially for readers. Nice walk to town next to marina. Decor is new and fresh on main level and a bit more shabby chic upstairs. Not recommended for anyone who is very tall or heavy...the spiral staircase is very narrow which made bringing luggage upstairs a challenge. Dormer roof in bedrooms, so just a reminder to watch your head. Otherwise a lovely space.

Comfy and relaxing
Just the right set-up for my family vacation. Cottage is perfectly equipped to cook, eat, rest and play. It was extremely clean and allergy-free. The living area has a great couch, and a TV/DVD player. Games were fun, too. Internet speed was extraordinary. The kitchen was easy to work in, and yet close enough to the living and dining areas that everyone stayed involved in the conversations.
Upstairs offered privacy and comfy beds.
The airiness of the cottage, and the lovely garden were so pleasant.
And the location was great for heading downtown, or taking off to the beach or on bike rides and jogs.
I was extremely pleased with everything about Beech Tree Cottage, and look forward to another opportunity to enjoy Sag Harbor and the Hamptons.

Our Best Christmas/New Year Holiday...Ever!
This really was one of the best holidays my husband and I have ever spent with our three children (ages 18,16,12) There was something SO magical and cosy, about this little cottage,and its surroundings (it was also very beautiful in the snow!) From the moment we walked in,(after a long flight from U.K) and saw our very own Christmas tree with twinkly lights...it felt like 'home away from home'..and a tremendous feeling of peace and calm stayed with us for our entire vacation.
