Disappointing

The location is clean and easily accessible by car. The keys can be picked up from a box at the entrance, so you don't have to sync with the host upon arrival (for us that was a good thing, because we had a very late flight in). Breakfast was ok - there was a buffet with cold cuts (meat and cheese), bread, jam, butter, and the host also offered to make us an omelet. There was also an espresso machine for coffee.

The place could use some sprucing up: on one ceiling on the corridor there were signs of water infiltration, the doors locks and knobs were very worn and jiggly (you had to really work a key to unlock a door). The house is built very close to DN1/E68, so the traffic is quite noisy, even with the windows closed. Although clean, the rooms did not have all the amenities advertised here on Booking.com. We booked 2 double rooms with air conditioning, but when we arrived, the rooms were very hot and there was no sign of any cooling device. The fridge was also not working; upon discussing with the host, a functional fridge was found and brought to one of our rooms. When calling the host again about the air conditioning, she told us it was a Booking.com mistake and that not all the rooms actually have air conditioning, so we should not have expected to find one. She then proceeded to tell us about that one time she visited Vienna and stayed at the Ibis hotel, where she didn't have a fridge or a kitchenette or any such amenities in the room, so we should adjust our expectations to the amount of money we paid (less than we would have for a room at the Ibis, which was true, but nevertheless something I would not say in this situation). She eventually offered to change our rooms and, because she wouldn't stop talking with no meaning for us, it was the middle of the night (1 a.m.) so we were dead tired after travelling the whole day with a toddler, I politely asked her to cut it short and show us to our new rooms. At this point she started to yell at us, saying she is sick of Booking.com clients and that we are free to leave if don't like it there. Then she hung up. 2 minutes later she called again and told how to get the keys to our new rooms. Next day she was there to help us with breakfast; she made us omelets and acted as if nothing happened the night before. No apology, no intention to clarify things, nothing.
