The apartment is on the top floor of an ancient building in the old town of Menton directly behind Eglise St. Michel. It has a charm of its own, being converted into one large studio, capturing both the view of the sea-scape, rooftops as well as lemon and orange groves and up to the old cemetery. The apartment is quiet, peaceful and spacious and yet is in the heart of this wonderful town.
Menton provides all year round cultural interests........A wealth of exhibitions, museums, galleries, music events to suit all tastes, sports events, gourmet restaurants and many long established gardens that are open all year round. Transport by bus and train to hill villages, surrounding areas of charm and across the boarder into Italy are affordable and frequent.
The microclimate makes it a perfect holiday destination at any time of the year.

The view from this apartment is just so typical of staying in the old part of Menton. High views over the rooftops to the sea. Watching the sun set towards Monaco. We love the proximity to the town and the beach and more importantly the silence of being on a pedestrian only street.

My husband and I spent a very happy week in this apartment in June of this year.
The apartment is very clean comfortable and well equipped. It is beautifully situated in the pretty old town of Menton. and from it we were able to walk to the town's many restaurants, bars and shops.
The apartment has a wonderful view of the sea and the coastal hills above Monaco, and it was a joy to open up the shutters and see it every morning.
We certainly hope to use the apartment again.

We (a couple in our 60s) stayed at this apartment for the last two weeks of August and were very happy with it.
It is a good sized space – larger than we expected, and very comfortable. There was enough space to store our clothes and other stuff. We loved the windows, and opening them up and seeing the sea and the mountains. It was great to be able to open the windows at both ends of the apartment and get a bit of breeze through.
We slept on the IKEA bed chairs and they were comfortable. We opted to move them to the area between the shower room and the settee and keep them out rather than fold them up every night. With a throw and cushions they looked fine (we thought) and didn’t get in the way.
The kitchen isn’t large, but it provided us with all we needed. We didn’t do much cooking but the hob, the fridge and the washing machine all worked fine. There was plenty of hot water for washing up and showers.
If you like modernist minimalism then this is probably not the apartment for you, but we liked the eclectic and personal collection of furniture and objects.
It is located in the old town, a few minute’s walk from the main restaurants and the beaches. Slightly longer coming back, because it is hilly.
A few negatives, though these for us were fairly trivial: the dvd didn’t work; the place could do with a bit of a declutter.
The stairs from the front door to the apartment would be a challenge for anyone who was not steady on their feet. They are quite steep and not well lit.
We had a lovely time, and really enjoyed being in the apartment. We would use it again, and recommend it.

I went to stay at this charming apartment this year (2012) in October and had a wonderful time.
The flat sits in the very heart of the old town proper. Only a few moments walk from the shops.
Nice and quiet location, with fantastic views in both directions - the sea and the hills.
My son enjoyed running up and down the steps into town....
Counting them as we marched....
There are at least 5 different sets of steps to take, making the experience even more magical..
Everything included was nice and clean..
