Located in Te Arai, this charming house for $158 per night is a great option for your next break. Please note for New Years bookings you must ENQUIRE first before booking as we have different requirements for this period. This near new holiday home designed by architect Tim Dorrington offers all the mod-cons of a modern bach but in a peaceful rural setting. Nestled into native bush with mature kauri and totara on one side, the property faces out to panoramic views of the Mangawhai Harbour valley, the Hen and Chicken Islands and the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the open plan living with fireplace for winter or bi-fold doors which open up to an outside lounge and covered deck area, with flat lawn for the kids to play. The property is light filled and sunny and every room has a beautiful outlook, the minute you step through the doors you will feel relaxed and won't want to leave. Please note the playground that shows in some photos has been removed. Note as well as Freeview there is a Chromecast on the TV so you can cast your favourite apps. Despite the rural location, it is ideally located as a base for all the local beaches as it is only 10 - 15 minutes drive away (check out Te Arai in the height of summer when Mangawhai Heads beach is chocka!). The shops, cafes and markets at Mangawhai Village are only a 5 minute drive and Mangawhai Heads just a few minutes further up the road. Waipu, Waipu Cove and Langs are only 15-20 minutes away. The design and position of Island View holiday home guarantee a peaceful and unique beach holiday experience. LINEN: Please note that other than pillows, duvets and duvet covers, linen is not included in the tariffs but can be rented for $25 per person, further details are provided in the 'Rooms and beds' section of the listing. If you wish to add linen, please add a note to your booking with what beds you wish to use so they can be made up. We have linen as an optional extra to make a more affordable holiday for those who wish to bring their own. BOOKING PAYMENT: Although Bookabach/VRBO take your credit card details, all booking payments are made to Bach Stay NZ Limited who manage this property for the owners. Once your booking is approved, we will send you a payment email with a choice of credit card payment (a 3% surcharge applies) or bank transfer (no charges). Please note the amount stated as 'Deposit Paid at Property' on the Bookabach/VRBO quote is actually a refundable bond that will be collected as part of the accommodation payment, it is not collected at the property as the wording suggests.

Situated on a hilltop with beautiful views. We had a awesome time exploring the Mangawhai from this location which had all the amenities in a great location.

Our family absolutely adored our stay at this property. Dave & Steph from Bach Stay were great to deal with! The home had plenty of space for 2 families. Lots of room for entertaining & the views are phenomenal. The house had everything we needed including a couple of great toys for the kiddies & a good selection of DVDs. The bath is breathtaking! Only thing missing is a spa pool! 😉

I already can't wait to come here again! The property manager was quick to reply to my messages and took the time to meet me in the town centre to pass on information. The place is beautiful with sceneary that you can stare at all day. Warm house, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen.

Beautiful views, absolute peace in nature. My guests and I loved the location and house it was a perfect spot to unwind and rest. Seamless check in - just easy as a break away should be. Would love to stay again!

Loved staying here, exactly as per the pictures, clean, spacious, comfortable, great for family, had everything we could want for cooking dinners and breakfasts. Lovely location near Mangawhai for markets, chocolate, food etc. Peaceful and quiet. Having fans in two of the rooms was great and beds were comfortable.

Only marked down cleanliness as kitchen surfaces could have been a little cleaner on arrival however this property totally lived up to all expectations - spectacular bush and sea views and a lovely modern home with all the trimmings, a very comfy bed and lovely outdoor living. We'd love to revisit.
