About this condo rental
Nestled in Fussen, this charming condo for $85 per night is a great option for your next break. Our popular lovely house is centrally located, sunny and quiet. The apartment is situated in Hopferau near the famous castle of Neuschwanstein and it is the ideal starting point for many activities throughout the year. These include: cycling/mountain bike touring, hiking, mountain tours, go sightseeing, cultural events, swimming lakes, in winter skiing, toboggan and all winter sports. The comfortable, spacious (90 m²) and lovely apartment is fully equipped with a separate, fitted kitchen, a dishwasher, an electric oven with ceramic elements, microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, egg boiler, toaster, coffee machine and electric kettle. The cosy living room includes a dining niche, a couch suite, satellite TV and telephone. There are two bedrooms available with bedding (a crib is available) to help to assure a pleasant night’s sleep. The bathroom has both a tub and shower and includes towels. A splendid view of the Alps awaits you from the balcony. Hopferau is a cosy little place near Füssen with many sigthseeings, activities and cultural events, such as summer festivals, folkloric evenings, theatre presentations, Alpine horn concerts etc. The region includes Neuschwanstein Palace, Old Town Füssen (approximately 7 km) castles Frey-/Eisenberg , Falkenstein, Romantic Road, Via Claudia, Wieskirche (famous church), Hopferau Castle and much more. Neighbouring Austria (Tannheimer Valley, Tyrol) is just 20 minutes away. Worth seeing towns for excursions are Garmisch (and the Zugspitze - the highest mountain in Germany, it is 9842 feet high), Oberammerau, Lindau, Salzburg, Oberstdorf, Innsbruck or Munich. More famous castles in our region are Linderhof palace, Hohenschwangau castle or Herrenchiemsee palace, other recommendable destinations are th roaring Pöllat Gorge (near Füssen), 'Marienbrücke, Breitachklamm, Lechfall' , wild mountains and gentle hills, a rich culture and imposing nature and typical folklore. Other Activities: skating, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, hut-to-hut hiking Ski: Winter sports are available in the resorts of Pfronten, Tannheimer Valley, Jungholz, Hahnenkamm, Tegelberg and Ober- u. Unterjoch. All belong to the Allgäu-Tirol Ski Association. Most have artificial snow and are located 15 to 25 km away. Additional easily reached resorts include: Zugspitze, Ehrwald, Berwang, Bichlbach etc. Cross-country trails in Hopferau-Eisenberg, in the local communities, or in Tannheimer valley. Ice skating and curling available on the local lakes or in the stadium in Füssen. There are pool complexes in Nesselwang and Schwangau.

Diese wunderschöne Wohnung bietet den idealen Startpunkt für schöne Ausflüge im Allgäu. Hopfensee, Füssen, Kempten, alles leicht zu erreichen. 7 Tage Erholung pur. Top ausgestattete und liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Das war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Urlaub dort.

The weather was unusually cold and snowy and the apartment was cozy and inviting. The location, close to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, in addition to the attractions and Fuessen, was great. Thank you for the great holiday!

Perfect Apartment
We spent five nights in the apartment and it was perfect for us and our twins. All of the rooms were light, airy and spacious. Plenty of room to unpack and spread out. The weather was unusually cold and snowy and the apartment was cozy and inviting. The location, close to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, in addition to the attractions and Fuessen, was great. Thank you for the great holiday!

The kitchen and shower room were clean and had good facilities. The living/dining room was comfortable and large enough for the six of us.
We visited the Neuschwanstein Castle, it is spectacular and well worth the trip. We also visited Oberjoch and Nesselwang ski slopes, the views are stunning.
We had two meals in a very traditional German restaurant called Zum Hirsch, the service was first class, the people very friendly and the food of a very high standard.
I would highly recommend this accommodation and the location.

The Hosts are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms, a lounge and separate kitchen, on the top level of the building. Access is by stairs only. "Our Australian family of 5 stayed for 3 weeks in the top floor 3 bedroom apartment, in the delightful village of Hopferau. It was an absolute highlight of our 4 month tour of Europe. Friendly hosts, spotless and cosy facilities, glorious views, nearby ski-fields and the best local Gasthof Hirsch for delicious meals. Hopferau is the perfect base to discover Bavaria and its surrounding neighbours. We visited Munich,Fussen, Oberstdorf, Oberammergau, Zugspitze, Garmisch and Dachau and learnt to ski at Tegelbergbahn. Other highlights included a tour of Neuschwanstein Castle and cheering on the local ice hockey team in Fussen. We still miss the wonderful people of Hopferau and would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone seeking a relaxed, comfortable holiday adventure."

Our visit during January in the appartment was nice and warm , clean and well maintained.
The Stocker family are so helpful and made us welcome so we settled in very quickly and would recomend the appartment to our friends.
The good views of the alpes and the town of Fussen near by add to the attraction, also the village backery with fresh bread each day is a must also.

We've just come home from a fantastic christmas holiday in Hopferau. Frau Stocker had decorated the appartment for us before we arrived and then brought us a christmas tree. She also very kindly made cakes and biscuits for us on Christmas Eve. Both Herr and Frau Stocker were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The appartment was very spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful - truly stunning!! We were particularly blessed with snow falling on Christmas Eve too. Hopferau had some little shops and the bakery had really nice bread & cakes. Fussen and Hopfen am See were close by and also very pretty. Fussen had good shops, V Markt being the local supermarket. Neuschwanstein is close by and we would recommend going to the Ski Resort of Tegelbergbahn too. We had such a good time, we really didn't want to leave.

Great Holidy
We stayed for 6 nights and had a really great time. The apartment was well fitted out and ideal or our group of 4, all we could have expected. The local area has a lot to offer and we particularly liked area around the Hopfen See. Lots of good place to eat with a very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend the location to anyone looking for a great holiday.

The accommodation was much bigger than we expected and had all the amenities we required. The surroundings were lovely with beautiful views. Two restaurants, with very helpful staff, within walking distance. More tourist information in English would have been helpful but this may well be difficult for Herr Stocker to obtain.
