Dryft is genuinely one of my favorite places in the world. This was my second time here, and somehow it felt even more special. The island, the beautiful huts, the simplicity of the place, the nature, the energy and, above all, the people make the whole experience unforgettable.
I spent my entire stay in the Philippines here this time, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They took such good care of me and always made sure I had everything I needed. At this point, coming back doesn’t really feel like returning to a hotel — it feels like coming back to a family.
I also loved being here during the rainy season. The weather changes throughout the day, with rain, fresh air and beautiful breaks of sunshine, which makes the island feel completely different and allows you to enjoy it without being under the intense heat all day.
And the food deserves a special mention, everything coming out of the kitchen is absolutely delicious. The quality, the flavors and the care they put into every meal are genuinely outstanding. Eating there is part of the Dryft experience in itself.
For me, Dryft is my little paradise on Earth. I carry this place, its energy and the people here very close to my heart. I already know I’ll be back.
Honestly, nothing. Leaving was the only part I didn’t like. 🤍

- beautiful beach, nicest stretch on the whole island
- daily menu changes using fresh local ingredients
- free board games to use
- felt expensive for what it was; rooms were interesting but not very comfortable, minimal areas to sit / chill other than the restaurant, fans were old/functioning badly
- we were expecting more of a community feel as this seemed common in the Philippines, everything seemed quite independs. activities like yoga etc cost extra (would have been great to get a free taster class or for Dryft to have put on some activities, as other than chilling there was nothing to do)
- minimal vegetarian options, which sometimes ran out in the first half meal time
- staff seemed entirely focused on running the restaurant/cafe
- considering it was the only option for food & drink, the restaurant was expensive - we ended up paying an additional 65% of our room cost on food & drink

The concept is good in principle if you want to experience the jungle camp live.
Officially no reception (due to jamming), but staff and guides are on their phones all day.
