While the weather was cool and often rainy, the view of the cove and the refreshing salt air was divine.

This was absolutely great. Clean, comfy, everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s not super big but you know that from the pictures. We had fires in the pit every night by the ocean, and the same seal would visit us and swim around the shore line each night, probably begging for tortilla chips. We would love come back in the future!

This well-appointed cottage was perfect for our Maine getaway. There were unexpected amenities when we checked in such as condiments, coffee, and other foodstuffs in the cupboard. We were also greeted with a gift certificate to a local restaurant. The place was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the view was second to none. I hope we have the chance to return! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was able to take several days to myself and enjoy the absolute beauty of this perfectly located cottage. It had all I needed and was super comfortable. I highly recommend. Host was easy to communicate with. I would love to go back. You can not beat the location and the view.

No one should ever rate this property anything less than a 5. Sue goes out of her way to make sure you know what you're renting. And what you're getting is a SPECTACULAR View. The Cabin is as advertised. Waking up to the sounds of the Loons, Seagulls, and Lobster Boats is Wonderful. We stayed 4 days. One day was rainy and foggy and just not a good day to go see Mount Desert Island. So we spent the day sitting on the front porch and watching the tide come in and go out. Watching those waves lapping at the rocks. WOW! Talk about cathartic? We were on a 25 day tour of the New England States. And that day just sitting and relaxing on the front porch was the Best Day of our trip. If you're the type of person who finds fault in everything, you should probably pay more and go somewhere else. But if you want a Rustic, Relaxing, and Peaceful stay away from the Hustle and Bustle of the tourist in Bar Harbor, than this is your vacation spot.

Sue was very communicative and helpful both before and during our visit. The cabin was adorable, clean, and the views were second to none. The location was peaceful and secluded, but not overly distant from amenities and attractions. The new WiFi connection was an absolute blessing for a work Zoom meeting I had to attend while we were there. We had a great time at Acadia and Bar Harbor and would love to visit again.

The cottage is convenient (~35 minutes) to Arcadia NP in a quiet residential area that is only minutes away from good restaurants and groceries. The view from the front porch is spectacular -- the bay, Arcadia's mountains in the distance. The cottage itself is perhaps a bit rustic (that is, the bedrooms are small) but it's clean, comfortable, and has everything we wanted/needed. Best of all, our host -- Sue -- is amazingly friendly, responsive, and helpful. I would absolutely stay there again.

fantastic spot!
On the waterfront in Hancock point - wonderful spot, highly recommended. It’s small but exactly as advertised and we had a wonderful time looking at the bay and stargazing at night. We hit a heat wave and it was still chilly at times from the breeze off the water. We spent 3 nights as a stop off point before taking the ferry to Nova Scotia and loved every minute of it. Go there! For a great meal try Sweet Peas’s Farm on Mt Desert Island - pizza, ribs and their wines were all outstanding!

Beautiful view
This cabin was great for the two of us as we visited Acadia and the surrounding area. We enjoyed the fire pit every night as we watched the sunset and the beauty of Acadia across the harbor. It was a perfect location and the right size for two people. Very rustic and quaint.

This cozy cottage by the sea feels like it could have belonged in my own family for years. It is a tiny slice of peace and quiet. We loved the porch and the views were beyond gorgeous. We kayaked from the shore and watched the harbor seals play. Perfect home away from home.

Our stay was wonderful! Cottage is small, but cozy, very clean (high marks) and stocked well. All we needed to buy was food. View is A-maze-ing! Close to Schoodic and short ride to Acadia. We loved it! Thank you Sue.

Our toddler enjoyed the swing and the little playhouse which would have been a blast for older kids. Very cute and thoughtfully appointed for our stay and very clean. Amazing to open the blinds in the AM and see the ocean at the end of the yard.

Cottage on the water
Spectacular views that offered a new perspective every day; morning and evening. Perfect launch for the kayaks, campfires in the evening. Peace and quiet with neighbors nearby but comfortably distanced. Lovely little neighborhood beach in the area for exploring. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Wished we'd stayed longer!!
