Older hotel with a charm

I loved the faded grandeur quality of this place. Yes it is an older building and yes it needs renovation, but it is full of charm and for the price paid I had a beautiful room with a top notch view of the old town. What can I ask more. If the hotel was modern and new it would have cost many times more without adding more to the whole experience. The receptionist lady was so sweet and gentle too, unfortunately I didn't take note of her name.

Hallways peeling paint and the ugly carpet pattern (also in the hallway).

Short stay with common facilities provided and stunning view of Melaka Riverside.

Love the location of this hotel as it is located next to Melaka river and easy access to the tourist attraction i.e. Samudera Museum, Malacca Riverside (next to Hotel), Jonker Walk, Cendol Kg Hulu (just a few steps away), Muara Sungai Ikan Bakar and if you walk a little bit more you may reach to Menara A'Famosa, Menara Taming Sari, Dahtaran Pahlawan Mall & Mahkota Parade Mall. I did request to have a riverside view room did not get the full view of the river since most of the rooms has been booked. The lobby's decoration is simple and not too crowded. Did not choose the breakfast package so now sure how the food taste like. Basic amenities provided i.e. shower cream, soap, shower cap & sanitary bag. Main reason choosing this hotel is because of the location.

Water heater not functioning well which is no hot water at all. Iron board is located at the other side of room which is open for those who want to iron their clothes. No refrigerator inside the room. The carpet along the walkway to the room is quite gloomy. Water filter is located in front of elevator. Due to stunning view of Melaka Riverside next to this hotel, other unpleasant thing is excusable.

Hotel lobby Aircon so cold..love

I'm sorry,the first time I check in it's look like haunted hotel,second really need upgrade n clean the carpet everything.even the toilet door wreck..staff okay nice lady just need to upgrade in customer service n smile.its free smile.total it's disappointed since I'm also work in front liner just under luxury,so I want the great service toward me also.sadly the second night I slept Aircon got problem and the only person say sorry it's the abg at night shift tht time..customer service counter poor service.whole hotel no Aircon 13 June 23 night time.gosh

Very good location, right on the riverbank and walks. Staff courteous and helpful. We were able leave the luggage and go out before check in. Room is comfortable. Staff brought a kettle when requested to make tea. Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon was very good.

Carpets on the hallway show age and adversely affect first impression.

Fast respond from staff at reception. We had blackout at our room. The technician took fast action to solve the problem.

No electric kettle provide at room. The hallway carpet need to clean / vacumm.

Near all attractions in the city, variety of places to eat and parking space available

The cleanliness needs to be worked on, the hotel seems like theres an issue in maintaining housekeeping etc toilet not so clean, carpet felt dusty . Understand if short staffed, but hope management figure this out for future customers.
