We travel for Thanksgiving every year and this house worked perfectly since it had the two kitchens! It basically was like a duplex but you had access to both sides. It was perfect! I will say the driveway is VERY STEEP and switchbacks. So anyone who is Leary of that, just know ahead of time. My mom didn’t want to leave the property much because she was so nervous. Of course we didn’t ever have an issue getting up or down the several times we went out. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. It’s just outside of town. So you don’t get the busy hustle and bustle of the downtown area up at the house. It still felt like you had your own space and seclusion up on the hillside. We Loved Gatlinburg! Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

Appreciated the heads-up regarding the driveway, and enjoyed our stay very much. Plenty of room to relax, sleep, cook, play, campfire, or drive to national park. Lovely, secluded, quiet mountanside retreat with 2 full kitchens, both well-stocked for cooking and serving. Minimal pantry staples and kitchen towels, however. Plenty of dining, gameplaying space. No games provided. Fireplaces look beautiful. Campfire ring had plenty of seating, and available firewood. Bathrooms both clean, with abundant towels. Superfun getaway enjoyed by old and young alike.

It was great for my first-time renting a cabin.The only thing I was disappointed was when the power went out for about 5 hours leaving us in the Dark

The cabin was great great location very clean. We have the minimum of anything we need it. It’s close to some grocery stores. It’s also in a quiet area everyone loved the cabin. We would love to go back next year and hopefully we can stay in the same cabin. Just a small note bring a 4 x 4 vehicle lol

When we arrived at the property (30 minutes before check in) and was making our way up the long steep drive there was a tree over the drive way preventing us from making it the rest of the way up. Contacted the property owner about the tree, she wanted to know if we could just walk the rest of the way up. That was not possible as we had my elderly mother with us. She said she would get someone on getting the tree removed. So we headed into town to waste several hours on waiting for the tree to be removed. It took 3 hours for the tree to be removed. The property owner offered us no compensation for our inconveniences. We did find that there was some dusting of the shades in the dining and living room that needed to be done as well as the light fixtures over the kitchen sink needed to be cleaned. We did have a wonderful time despite the beginning of our trip.

The two kitchens was a little weird but if cooking a lot of food it helps. Two refrigerators also was nice. We had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful. The driveway was a bit much but we had four wheel drive, so it wasn't that bad. We had a bear to come by for a visit The first day. He looked in the window at us and went on across the deck back to the woods. We had a power outage for about 9 or so hours. We made the best of it until it came back on. We made forts in the living room and talked in front of the fire place.(Thank God it had a fire place because it was a little cool that day). Overall stay was wonderful. I would stay here again if available when we travele back this way.

The morning of our trip, I still hadn't received any check in information or instructions, and I couldn't get a hold of Evolve Vacation Rentals (who the listing is through) or the property owner themselves, because the phone number in the listing doesn't work. I finally had to get on the phone with VRBO help and they were able to get a hold of the property owner another way and forward me the check in information, but it was stressful having to be on the phone all morning while driving to the house and if I wouldn't have reached out, we would have had no idea how to get in or anything. Additionally, it is listed on the very bottom of the FAQs but it should be listed first thing, you literally CANNOT access the house without a four wheel drive. Luckily, we had two four wheel drives within our group of cars and we could shuttle people up the long steep driveway, but our other SUV would not make it at all, and we again couldn't get a hold of the property owner to ask about alternative parking. The driveway is way too long to walk too, so you have to have at least one four wheel drive in your group to take things up to the house, even if some people do park somewhere else. We ended up having to park in a church parking lot nearby and we didn't even hear back from Evolve until the next afternoon on if this was allowed or if they had somewhere else for us to park. The house itself was nice, I just wish the check in process and the communication were better.

I really like the area. Very nice and quite but you’d definitely need either 4 wheel drive atv or a front wheel drive could possibly do it. Be more difficult but doable. Almost to the point of needing a mountain goat to get up lol. Other than the driveway I really liked it. Nice and peaceful.

The cabin was nice and clean but could definitely use some updating. The only draw back is absolutely the driveway. A four wheel or all wheel should not be recommended but required. The drive would not be near as bad if it were paved. Although we enjoyed our stay we would not stay there again unless the drive is paved.

Location was fine but the cabin needs a deep cleaning. We saw black mold in the jets of our tub. Mildew on shower curtain which we had to wash. Also, we lost power on our last full day and our contact was not helpful. We had to pack in the dark and throw out all the food and then find a motel! Not worth the money.

Renter beware
Unless you want to rent blindly and like playing Russian roulette on where you stay on vacation, stay far away from this rental. Let’s start by saying unless you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle you will be attending a Baptist church service across the street to ask if you can use their parking lot. Then carry all your luggage up a steep gravel hill that is ridiculously sloped. So if you have heart conditions, breathing problems, sore bones this isn’t for you. Oh…and you don’t find out any of this until you have paid in full and it’s too late to back out. You can forget trying to contact the person to complain or see about other arrangements. They disappear and let you struggle the rest of your trip because they are laughing all the way to the bank.

The location is convenient to Gatlinburg and the property surrounding the accommodations is very peaceful. We will return to this property again! Great Quality, Spacious Cabin!! Absolutely Loved this place. We even sat around a campfire one night. Cabin has 2 Refrigerators, 2 Ovens, 2 washers and Driers, Plenty of tables and a Beautiful Porch to sit and Relax.

The check in and check out process was easy. The local contact responded to my questions before I arrived. It’s location is great. You are less thank 15 minutes (traffic dependent) from the Pigeon Forge strip. Less than 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. The house comes fully furnished with bed linens, pillows, and wash rags and towels. The house is well stocked with cups, dishes, and silverware (steak knives only you may want to bring a cutting knife) also the can opener does not work. Those were our only needs in the house. Outside the house there is a great deck on the front of the house, a great screen porch off of the right side of the house, and great fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating. The drive way is steep with numerous switchbacks but I never had to use my four wheel drive while staying there and it rained the better part of the weekend. The only change outside I would suggest would be someway to turn off the floodlight on the front porch at night. It is really bright (great when you need/want it but intrusive when you do not need/want it.
