About this cabin rental
Situated in Winthrop, this lovely cabin for $195 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. T.E.S. Cottage is available for weekly rental on a pristine lake in the Winthrop Lakes Region of Maine. Enjoy a natural sandy beach in a private cove on Cobbossee Lake, a nine-mile long lake spanning East Winthrop, Monmouth, Manchester and Augusta. The cottage and beach face south, so the winds and breezes off the lake in July and August are warm and seem almost tropical. The cottage is very comfortable with many modern conveniences, including free WiFi and cable TV, but still retains that "Maine camp" feel. It sleeps four easily and is just steps from the lake. The sandy beach allows for easy walking through the shallows into deeper water for jumping off the float and swimming. The quiet cove provides privacy and safety for children and adults who do not want a steep drop-off. A fire pit is included for toasting marshmallows at night under the gaze of the stars above, and being serenaded by the evening loons as they pass by the front of the cottage. This is the perfect rental if you want to enjoy swimming in clear, clean water, jumping off the float in the cove, napping in the sun, or simply sitting and reading a book in the shaded chairs or hammock overlooking the water.

This little lake house is perfect. Cozy yet roomy enough for two adults and one large, goofy dog, was fully stocked, and was incredibly charming! The area is so quiet, except for the sounds of nature (loons, raptors, owls, songbirds, geese, etc.) and an occasional motor boat. My dog thoroughly enjoyed the lake which was crystal clear and only a few steps from the front door. Not only do you have a stunning view of the lake, you're surrounded by trees! We had to pinch ourselves a few times to ensure we weren't dreaming. And within 15-20 minutes there are several small towns that each offer a different experience including rail trails, nature trails, quaint shops, and excellent eateries. The property owner, Kit, was great! She made herself available should we have needed anything and communication was perfect, prior to, during, and after our stay. We fell in love with this little house and plan to come back next year for a longer stay!

This was the second year my family has stayed at this cottage and we will certainly be back next year. The cottage is the perfect size from my family and our small pup, and our daughter lives the shallow sandy beach area in front of the cottage. We will continue to go back year after year.

The wifi was great in case you need to work from home or watch a movie on a rainy day. The perfect size for a small family with a dog. The water was crystal clear and the beach area perfect for playing in the sand. The gradual entry is perfect for kids and for floating around. There was enough room on land for lawn chairs, horse shoes, corn hole and more. Our son caught two small mouth bass from the swim dock which was a highlight of the week. The lake is calm enough for kayaking which we found lovely. You feel like you are alone in the woods by a lake yet only 10min drive to anything you could need. We will definitely love to be back next year.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Ms. Kit’s cabin! There’s an incredible view of the lake, it was very quiet and everything you might need is just a short drive away. Wonderful cottage right on the lake!
My husband, our dog and I stayed for a week at Kit’s cottage. It was a beautiful location, we had many hours on the lake kayaking and fishing. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived, it had a well stocked small kitchen, and a beautiful view out of the windows. Kit was very helpful and left us with good information on the area. It was a great dog friendly place to spend a week in Maine!

Cobbossee vacation.
It was perfect!! We enjoyed every minute. Meeting Kit and Mike was a real joy, they were very social and fun to visit. Great People. The cottage was very nice with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the lake access was really nice with a shallow sandy walk in to deeper swimming and snorkeling. Even a mooring for the boat. The only bad thing was we had to leave. Hope to have another visit soon.

Quiet and Cozy
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was just as described. Real cute and cozy. It had everything we needed and more. It was very relaxing and quiet. Even on a chilly rainy day we were able to sit and enjoy the view of the beautiful cove right from the cottage. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the owners Kit and Mike. Excellent Location & Enjoyable Stay!!
We had the opportunity to rent this cottage for several day's and enjoyed every minute of it!! So did the dogs!! The cottage was in solid condition, very clean and we even had the opportunity to meet Kit, the owner. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

This is an immaculate and adorable camp!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is perfect, beautiful sandy beach and swimming. Wonderful lake for fishing, boating, swimming and peace & quiet. Every ammenity you could possibly want. Kit, the owner is so kind and sweet and was right there if we needed anything....excep she has already thought of everything! We will most definitely return again next year.

Quiet, calm and serene. So relaxing!
We had such a wonderful time with our two young boys. The beach area by the lake was perfect, loved the dock, the hammock, platform to swim out to. The cottage had all the comforts of home and Kit is a wonderful person! So thoughtful and nice! Winthrop is very quiet and quaint but close enough to everything you might want to do or see. Cannot say enough about our stay!

Very Quiet and Beautiful!
Our stay was very pleasant. It was peaceful and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of the loons. We had our own private beach and the swimming was great. My dogs enjoyed the walks down the private road too. The cabin has everything you need and you can hear the water lapping on the beach. Stores and restaurants are just 10 minutes away. Great place to unwind!!

Relaxing, family fun vacation
We had a wonderful time, & would definitely go back again! Everything that was offered on the website, was 100% true! Kit obviously takes great pride in making everyone’s vacation very enjoyable, as the cabin had everything we needed The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake was absolutely gorgeous, with the perfect little beach area and raft to swim to. My two boys spent most of the day fishing and swimming, and created some wonderful memories together.The beautiful sounds of the loons was so lovely, can’t remember seeing so many at one time before. The view was also exceptional, even when inside the cabin, as nothing obstructed the scenery.
The cove location keeps the atmosphere peaceful & serene, even with the motorboats around.
My personal favorite part was meeting Kit, Mike & their dog Tito-a fantastic family!

A piece of paradise!
We can't say enough good things about our experience at the cottage! Plenty of privacy, a small beach area for swimming and kayak launching, sun and shade overlooking my favorite lake. The cottage was quaint with all the necessities, including Wi-Fi, a grill, a deck, comfortable beds, big windows and very clean (so glad!). We had wildlife at the doorstep, from eagles, to loons, osprey and heron. The owners were extremely accomodating and easily reachable.

The cottage was clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with kitchen equipment. Clean towels and sheets provided. The location on the lake was just right for all water activities, but also quite peaceful. The owner was promptly responsive to all questions. All in all a totally satisfactory experience!
