We loved it! It's a great older home that put us at ease as soon as we walked in the door! Plenty of room to relax in,and fully stocked. We wanted for nothing, and would definitely stay there again!

Nice quiet neighborhood, good place to base from to explore the Big Horn Mountain Range. Was a good place to get some peace and quiet. Is well equipped, exactly as described. Thank you for a very nice stay!

Toilet has issues, very slow fill. Bed is older than my grandparents. Over priced for house rules. However, the dog was grateful for the fenced years. Missed the chickens!

We arrived at the property to find the grass uncut, overgrown weeds, paint chipping on the front porch chairs and the front door, not a good first impression. We entered the house to find a strong smell of mustiness throughout the house. There is a full basement with no door on it, really, hence the odor. I have severe allergies as did my travel companion. There was water leaking on the floor upon our arrival in front of the refrigerator (I immediately reached out to the owner, who didn't respond for quite some time) and the freezer and refrigerator both had food in them, the freezer compartment was nearly full. Where were we suppose to put our food items? We've a 5 star rating from VRBO and have never found the places we've rented over the last 4 years to have the "feel" someone is living here full time. This house did have that feel, along with a broken chair in the living room and a sofa which looked filthy/gross, a broken deadbolt on the side door (there wasn't a back door). As two women traveling together we felt unsafe and nauseated. We took photographs to document these conditions. I reached out to the owner, who is not a good communicator and advised him we would not be staying. We communicated via text. I have documentation to support what I am sharing on VRBO. I asked him to reach out to discuss, we had the impression, since the house had a for sale sign out front that perhaps he was having difficulty selling the property and was looking for a "quick" way to make some extra cash. Which he did off of us. He stated in his text message "he would refund our money to us and didn't want our business anyway." He refunded the security deposit only He was un-businesslike in his respond to us. We have stayed several time in Tucson, Arizona at a million dollar home with a one bedroom casita and the owners were wonderful communicators, as were the owners of properties we've stayed at in London, England and Dysart, Scotland. I'd not posted a review giving him 30 days to refund our money. Which he has not done as promised in writing. So I cannot end this review with a positive spin. Something like "I'm certain he will make an effort to improve the property since its on the market" I'm certain his realtor has told him the same thing and its still on the market. We spent money staying elsewhere and firmly believe this listing is not up to VRBO standards.

Quiet escape from distractions

Comfortable getaway near downtown Buffalo. Very quiet neighborhood with beautiful views of the Big Horn Mountains only a two block walk. Deer freely wandering the streets as well. Home had all the kitchen needs for dining in. Also an easy walk to the down town eateries. Great place to get away.
