This apartment is the perfect base of operations for your Heidelberg visit, we stayed there five nights, and did several day trips to surrounding towns. It is just a few steps off the main "strand" in Heidelberg, so there is easy access to shops, and it is a short walk to the university and Schloss. It is very cozy and has everything you need, and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. I would give it 10 stars if I could. We will most definitely be back. Book it now; you will be glad you did.

We had an amazing stay in Heidelberg! From meeting us upon our arrival to tracking down a restaurant with my sons favorite Bavarian food (Rouladen); the thoughtfulness and effort to make our stay wonderful is something we will cherish for years to come. The unit is charming, well equipped and the location cannot be beat! Our host’s professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail surpassed our highest expectations. Thank you for everything!

The flat is large, beautifully decorated, full of light and remarkably quiet. In the heart of the old town, it is ideally situated for ambling round the narrow adjacent streets and is in walking distance of all you will want to see We also did longer walks in the surprisingly empty forests. Only negative point: in the largest bedroom I found no way of blocking out the light on the smaller window. Nonetheless, it was one of the best places I have rented. And I mustn't forget the pleasure of relaxing on the terrace!

Unit is well situated. Walk to most every thing or a transportation hub. Especially nice to sit on deck in the evening. Very well kept and host very helpful. Quite with good beds. Only draw back is 2 flights of stairs. Very warm while we were there but fans kept it nice.

We stayed in this wonderful apartment for five nights. The location was ideal for us, just off the Hauptstraße, yet still a peaceful place to return after a long day. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place--spatious, comfortable beds, lots of daylight coming in windows and skylights, and in **perfect** location to explore old Heidelberg! Very quiet despite city location, thanks to heavy walls, triple-pane windows (which open, for good ventilation), and location at back of building. Big sunny deck to hang out on. Communications with owner could not have been better. She answered all my questions well in advance, was at the appartment to answer questions and show us around when we checked in, and even scouted out some live choral/organ concerts for us to attend once she learned of our interest! This was truly a find, one my best rental experiences to date, and all four of us left very happy with our Heidelberg visit.

Our family enjoyed Christmas in this well-appointed flat. Hauptstraße and the Christmas markets were just steps away but the flat was very quiet. The hosts even put up a tree and other decorations. A wonderful holiday!

Perfect! Very spacious, clean space. Everything worked. Well stocked with amenities. Location was great for walking everywhere. Owner greeted us and explained use of heat, kitchen, garbage, etc. Also drove us to the parking garage with explanation of how to enter and exit. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Property is close to center of town and reasonably easy to access. Very comfortable accommodations for 6 adults. The public parking garage is very close and recommended over the space associated with the unit if you will be using your car during the visit. Excellent experience overall.

The perfect spot
This apartment is right where you want to be. Once you park, there's really no reason to drive anywhere again! The market, bakery, restaurants, playground etc. are all right out the door. The castle, philosophers way, plazas etc. are an easy walk from this spot. Couldn't have asked for better hosts! They were very patient and accommodating as our car broke down on our way to the city...and when we got turned around on the narrow streets! Danke!

Nice location but some problems
Problem with ants from the the deck area so we couldn't leave any food out. They were on the countertops & table. Top floor apartment so really hot with the heat wave. Couldn't leave door open due to ants which made it worse. Shower doors do not close so water gets everywhere when taking a shower. No real shades on the windows so sun will wake you up. Having only 2 sets of keys is a problem for larger group.

Outstanding apartment right in the historic area! Would not hesitate to rent again! Large 3 bedroom on top floor. Wonderful deck area off the living room. Modern but with historic charm. Really...could not ask for more! Great communication with the owners. Super helpful. Truly made our Germany vacation special!

Family Christmas in Heidelberg
This property and location was perfect for our family with our 2 young adult children. We all met up at the apartment which was ideal for our needs. We were able to cook meals together in the kitchen, eat at the large dining room table and then walk out the door to the Christmas markets and pedestrian shopping walkway. The apartment is far lovelier than it appears in the photos and the building it is in is gracious and well maintained. The 3 bedrooms are down a long hall from the living area so sleepers are not disturbed by those staying up later. There is a Bluetooth sound system but almost no access to English tv so bring a computer and HDMI cord if you want to stream movies. We had a wonderful, memorable time. Martina and Christian even put up and decorated a Christmas tree for us before we arrived! Great hosts!

Once in a lifetime Family Vacation
From the moment we first booked, this was the best choice. Both Christian and Martina are the best possible owners - provided specific instructions, excellent recommendations for where to eat and drink in the alstadt, and a simple check-in and check-out process. The location is perfect, the property is immaculate, and the entirety of the week was a much needed vacation for my family (and me, to be perfectly honest). Look no further, this is the best property in Heidelberg and will result in the best holiday for your family. In the morning, we walked to the local bakery (choose one, they're all good) and got coffee and pastries. And a pretzel. We would get lunch at the Weinnachtsmarkt locations throughout the alstadt, then go out to dinner. All of it was perfect. This location is perfect, the property is wonderful, and the owners are caring and helpful. This is your family rental - for a perfect Heidelberg vacation.
