About this cottage rental
"Surf mist Currarong" is back on line after 5 months of renovations and is located on the South Coast of NSW in the small fishing village of Currarong, about 2 1/2 hrs drive from sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra.
Currarong is a great all-year-round getaway destination, it is a quiet fishing village at the end of the road on the northern penisular of Jervis bay and Beefcroft headland. Once you park your car here there wont be much need for it again till you leave. Most activities you can walk or ride your bike to. There are a wide variety of bush walks, some to pristine swimming and snorkling locations, some to lead to some to awesome views of large cliffs, don't forget your camera on those walks. The beaches here are the primary reason for visitors, the beaches around Currarong, Beefcroft headland and Jervis Bay are among the most beautiful and pristine you will find in Australia. And most water sports can be accommodated.
Surf mist cottage is located 150m from the natural rock pool and child friendly Bossom Beach, but if you need a more challenging wave there are great surfing locations nearby also.
The property has a main house and a granny flat on a large block, so theres a big yard to enjoy. The main house has 2 large bedrooms with queen beds in each, one bathroom a large eat-in kitchen and a separate large living space. And a new rear large covered rear deck with out door lounge and tv. With remote control screens to enclose deck from bad weather.The Granny flat is a large space, and although there are divider walls there are no enclosed private rooms in there. The bed configuration in the granny flat is 2 queen beds and one double bed and clothes drawers and racks provided also. The granny flat has its own bathroom, and the laundry facilities are located here also. At the back of the granny flat a convenient and useful outdoor shower to get salt and sand off. There is a covered BBQ close to the deck to cook your meals At the back of the yard there is a fully fenced dog run and kennel, so four legged members of the family are welcome if prior arrangement is made.
We will provide donnas, blankets, pillows and pillow cases, you will need to bring your own linen and towels.
Currarong has a general store and a seafood resturant. For larger grocery shopping there are supermarkets at nearby villages Culburra (15 minutes drive) Callala Bay (10 minutes drive), or a larger shopping range in Nowra about 25 minutes drive.
Please note that over the christmas/summer peak season week long bookings only will only be considered. Check in on saturday afternoon, checkout the following saturday morning.
Outside of the peak season we will happily take bookings of minimum 2 night stays any available day of the week that suits your needs.

Bob was easy to communicate with. The house has everything you need. The outdoor sitting area would be great in warmer months. Still lovely during the day in June. Easy to walk everywhere. A lovely getaway

Our extended family got together for the long weekend. This was the perfect place. The rear entertainment deck is the centre piece of this property and where we spent all our time together. Living spaces were all good with the granny flat being a bonus. No internet available meanut that we made good use of the stash of board games.
There were a few let downs though.
No AC, just ceiling fans-I imagine it would get very hot in summer. The front bedroom heated up during the day.
There was quite alot of corners and areas where dust built-up and we found ourselves sweeping up dog hair from the living spaces and rear deck furniture.
We had two smaller non shedding dogs who thoroughly enjoyed the backyard but did get excited picking up previous doggy scents.
All in all , we had a grest weekend here. Just a short walk to the beach and local amenities.
