The apartment was bright and spacious and had all the facilities needed for a short or longer stay (although bring your own hairdryer). Although we were mainly visiting the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth, this apartment in Gosport was much better value for money than the hotels in Portsmouth itself and the ferry across was just two minutes away. The apartment looks straight onto the water so there’s always something interesting to see. The apartment was a pleasant and comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day.
Although we booked via Booking.com, the arrangements for entry and damages deposit were handled by a letting company. These requirements seemed a bit strict and off putting. However their staff were very friendly and helpful and as entry was via a key box there were no problems in obtaining access on arrival.
Like most towns in the UK, Gosport town centre is a bit run down with little in the way of shops and restaurants
although it does have a couple of supermarkets within walking distance. There was a bit of noise from the street below but it quietened down eventually.

The facilitates were excellent and the location was good
There was some confusion over meeting to exchange the keys. Access to the flat was a bit dingy.

When we arrived at the apartment Ken took time to show us the apartment and explain everything in detail. The location is perfect just across from the ferry to Portsmouth.
There are 3 levels of steps which might not be managable by people with mobility difficulties
