Villa Lago 1874 is a private, single-family vacation home located on the North side of the prestigious Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort. Our beaches are known for crystal white sand and turquoise waters of the Emerald Coast. This property is centrally located walking distance .5 miles away from The Village of Baytowne Wharf and quick ride over to the South side beach entrance, approximately 2.8 miles away from the front door of the vacation rental. Villa Lago 1874, is where you’ll experience your next vacation like never before! This four-bedroom, four-bathroom private rental home is the perfect spot for your group of eight to enjoy everything Florida’s Emerald Coast has to offer! Get out and explore the resort without having to find parking with your own six-seater golf cart or take the Baytowne Wharf Tram. This upscale vacation home has elegant furnishings and coastal décor throughout. You’ll find beautiful white marble flooring on the main floor and wood flooring on the second floor. The large open living and dining areas offer plenty of comfortable seating choices to accommodate the entire group. Whether you decide to dine in or take out, the kitchen and dining area provide all basic supplies your family should need to make a meal indoors. The first guest bedroom is located downstairs which includes a twin over twin bunk bed and a flat screen TV; there is a hallway bathroom access to the walk-in shower. Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom suite with a king bed, private balcony, walk-in shower, and a deep soaking tub in the ensuite bath. The two additional guestrooms and bathrooms are also located upstairs. The second guest bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite bath with a shower/tub combo, and the other guest bedroom has a queen size bed with access to the guest bathroom with a walk-in shower! Booking was fine. Reserved this back in May, but about 6 days before the stay we all came down with Covid. I was first and the worst. As I got better had to take care of family members. I called Gibson Rentals and asked if we could cancel. Holidays were an issue with commuication. Office closed so I emailed. They did call me back then. They said due to being after the cancel date they could not cancel and give me a refund. They said we might be able to move the stay to later in the year, but we didn't know when we could all get together again and we having to make all these decisions at last minute while still being weak from covid. After not being given much choice and possibly losing $1900, we decided to move all our flights and go a day late despite we were all still trying to recoupe. It wasn't a very pleasant trip. Everyone just sort of stayed in bed resting. A couple of us went out a little. I didn't think they'd want us in the unit because they would have cleaning crew etc coming in and might get them sick...I don't know how long that lingers. When we arrived the unit was supposed to run on Alexa..Alexa didn't work, the oven glass and front of dishwasher didn't look like they had been cleaned or has liquids running down the front of them. The shower in the middle bathroom upstairs was missing a part, so did not work. A light was out in the valance of the mirror in master bath. The battery was dead in the thermostat upstairs so all those sleeping upstairs froze the first night...was pretty cold in Miramar Beach during our stay. And there were no directions for the gulf cart. I tried to go get some groceries on the cart. We couldn't get it to start, finally figured out you have to have the seatbelts on or it won't start. Golf cart has issues too. HAd quite a few issues, eventually sent people out to fix them. Shower fixed last day. I know its difficult to get workers. Its a beautiful home and price was good for Christmas. They refunded a little for our troubles

The house and location were excellent! No problems to report. My only comment might be post Covid protocol, but there was absolutely no staples for cooking at the house. No salt or pepper or any spice. No coffee filters or plastic bags/tin foil etc. only one pack of dishwasher detergent for a week. No extra of ANYTHING that would help with using the house for cooking to try to save money.

This home was spotless and tucked away in a cul-de-sac. The neighborhood was very quiet and beautiful! You're just close enough to Baytowne Wharf, but far enough away to not be disturbed by noise. We would definitely stay here again! We were even contacted for early check-in!

The pictures show a table and chairs on the upstairs balcony but there is actually no furniture at all on the balcony. The pictures also show a grill on the patio which was an incentive for booking but once booked (and not refundable) the rental agreement states “NO GRILLING ALLOWED.” Very frustrating and disappointing. All of the rental agreement and HOA rules were extremely frustrating. Hard to relax and have a nice vacation when there are a million little rules for every single thing.

The house was very clean. The view…so beautiful! The big issue we had was the golf cart upon arrival. There was a bad odor coming from the garage, and my husband found that the batteries in the golf cart were boiling!! The management came and took it away, which we were thankful for, but then we had no golf cart for our entire weeks stay. It also would be helpful if there were hot pads in the kitchen.

This property was more than perfect for our family of 6. It is beautifully decorated and located in a resort community with a lot of amenities and attractions. The upstairs bedrooms all came with their own bathrooms which was very convenient during our stay. A stack of fresh towels was provided for each bedroom. The house was clean and everything felt new. The brand new washer and dryer came in handy too. The property came with the use of a 6 seater golf cart and was fun and enjoyable to use. We used it to drive to golf course, shopping area and restaurants. There is a cool area in the community which had rides, attractions and restaurants. The property is in a good location and easy drive to anywhere you need to go in the Destin area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in this area!

the golf cart won’t stay charged to even make it to the beach. We were stuck taking our van when we rented this house specifically for a golf cart. Stays Besides this management was great and the house was clean and beautiful. charged for an hour and then dies. We were stuck in the road trying to get home everyday. Horrible battery.

Beautiful home and great location!
Overall the home does look exactly like the pictures and is in a nice location! The golf cart is great to have! We had an issue with having roaches and that was disturbing so that was the only reason I gave a three star rating. I did call and they had someone come out and spray. I was just paranoid after that so not a comfortable stay. This is a beautiful home though and staying at Sandestin there is plenty to do!

This property was very clean and in a great neighborhood. The house was well decorated and well equipped with comfortable beds great bathrooms and kitchen. My only negative comment and this is with any VRBO is the same
appliances, cookware and other kitchen items are very low quality. It would be nice to have those items match the rest of the other house amenities. Other than that we had a great stay and there is great access to anything you need with out having to use a car to get anything since there is a really nice golf cart to get around on.

We had a couple families down for spring break and wanted to avoid 30A. This was so much better for the kids who were seniors. They could visit 30A but stayed mostly with us or at least in SanDestin. The beach was great and having the 6 seater golf cart worked out great. Fun vacation and would highly recommend. The house was perfect for cooking meals. The only issue we ran into was the grill was in bad shape. We bought a new canister of gas to cook out and you just couldn't get it to heat consistently. Very small issue in an overall great stay.
