About this condo rental
Located in Avignon, this charming condo for $120 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Luxurious duplex apartment refurbished in 2018 located in an historic building across from the Palais des Papes. The access is Place du Palais but the apartment is very quiet since totally overlooking one of the famous secret gardens of the town. The apartment has a surface area of approximately 62 sq.m. and consists of a first floor with living room and open-plan equipped kitchen and a second level with a 20 sq.m bedroom with 2 twin beds 80 cm large ( or a double : 160 cm x 200 cm ) and a small adjacent bedroom with 2 twin beds 70 cm x 190 cm ( or a double 140 cm x 190 cm ). This bedroom is better for teen agers or a couple for a short stay since not very large. Between the 2 levels, bathroom consisting of italian shower and toilets. WiFi, TV, and CD player/radio in the living room. Air Conditioning in the living room and the 2 bedrooms. You will find modern furniture, vintage pieces and artwork. An underground toll park space is at 30 meters. Price : 19 Euros per day or 60 Euros for a week. If you stay more than 2 days, it is cheaper to take the week rate ticket. ( not available in summer ). You have a free park space outside the walls with free shuttle. Beware the apartment has a lot of stairs and is not adapted to people who walk not easily.

Super comfortable, and very unique. Location couldn’t be better. The parking the owner recommends is quite literally steps from the front door and very convenient. Alain was lovely, history of the apartment was fascinating. The apartment was quiet despite being on a very busy central square. Very functional with comfortable beds and pillows. Laundry and drying racks were helpful. Nespresso for coffee in the mornings is always a plus for us. There were some squawky pigeons but that’s the only thing remotely negative I can think of. I would absolutely stay again.

This Vrbo was incredible in every way. The location was ideal and the apartment was perfect for us. Alain was so very helpful recommending restaurants and tips on how to get to the Avignon TGV. We could not have been any closer to all the things to see and do in Avignon. I would definitely recommend this location for your stay in Avignon.

I have rented many VRBOs over the years and have never been more impressed with the communication and thoughtfulness of our host in giving detailed instructions on everything- how to get there, how to run all the appliances, where to park, what to see, how to find things.... It was a pleasure. The apartment was more comfortable than most I have rented and the location was terrific. The only drawback was that the apartment was on 3 floors. I didn't mind the stairs because I got to burn off the calories from the wonderful French cooking and desserts.

This place was a perfect base to explore Avignon and the surrounding area. It was really fun to be right next to the Papal Palace. The property itself was really comfortable but also had great character. Alain was a great host and so friendly! We parked our car in the nearby garage that was fairly expensive, but we did use the weekly rate and that it made it worthwhile for us. I would stay at this place again for sure the next time we're in the area!

Alain is an experienced and gracious host, we were instantly comfortable and he made us feel very welcome. The apartment is lovely and unique. A very warm welcome from Alain started our lovely stay in Avignon. Right in the heart of all the action but totally quiet inside because the apartment faces the inside garden. Modernised and comfortable without losing the charm of the original features. Like many buildings in the old town you will need to be able to negotiate stairs.

Alain’s accommodations felt like home, and that is saying something, as I love my home. This B&B has an ambience that suited me. The location is wonderful, if not dramatic, as the front door literally opens to a scene out of the Middle Ages. Alain is responsive and personable. I’m grateful for this week-long experience.

Enjoyable stay in Avignon. Very good location
Loved it. Very comfortable historical home near everything. Provence was in the 90's but home had A/C in all areas and a beautiful garden area. Alain even helped us get a taxi when nothing was available.

Everything is amazing
The location is right across from Palace of the Popes and central to all the shops and restaurants in the old town. We loved being central so we could take a break during the day. Underground parking is just a few steps from the door. The property is a 3 story tower that was perfect for our family of four. The old architecture was renovated into a charming space with all the comforts of now and beautiful marble staircase through the center. Definitely felt like we were staying in a part of history. Loved it!

Incredible stay!!
This is an incredible place! The photo’s absolutely do not do it justice and Alain was a generous host. We never got tired of working out onto our view and would highly recommend this property to anyone. (unless you can’t do stairs that is, otherwise it’s perfect!)

The home opens up to the courtyard looking up at the Pope’s Palace, a few meters from parking, and central to everything. It had a lot of character, was comfortable with air conditioning in the summer, and had everything we needed. Alain welcomed us and was very helpful. We’d definitely stay again.

Gorgeous apartment in a perfect location
Perfect spot to discover Avignon and its surroundings. Opposite the Palais des Papes, easy access by car in & out of the city (using the public parking recommended) and located in a beautiful ancient building. Communication with owner was all digital (he was not in the city during our stay) but very reactive with fast answer to our demands. I definitively recommend this apartment.

Ideal in every way
We found this an ideal place for our Avignon stay. You cannot get any closer to the Place du Palais with its many tourists coming and going throughout the day- however inside the apartment provides quiet, peaceful and well equipped and liveable accommodation. The apartment overlooks a most delightful garden. Alain is a perfect host, providing advice on sites to see, trips to undertake from Avignon and most importantly suggestions of good dining out options. Many many thanks Alain.

Spectacular setting!
As noted by all other visitors who have had the pleasure of staying here, the setting is magical. With the Popes Palace as one’s entry point, each time coming to the apartment is a delight. The living spaces are comfortable and spacious, with fans that kept the rooms cool enough at night, even during the heatwave this July. Large windows overlook the gorgeous garden below, and the apartment is totally quiet, even with the windows open at night. Alain is a delight, so pleasant and kind, and sitting in the garden was heavenly. He helped with arranging taxis from the TGV, made useful suggestions, and even offered a glass of wine one day while I was reading in the garden- the consummate host! In summary, a perfect location and host, and a beautiful appartment. Merci Alain, et à bientôt!

Wonderful accommodations in the centre of everything
Cannot say enough wonderful things about this apartment. Absolutely perfect for a family of four (2 teens). Clean, quiet, comfy...and the best location in Avignon! Alain was extremely helpful as well providing us with ideas of things to do and even sliding photocopies under our door for a day trip we had planned. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
