Nestled in Mimizan, this attractive house for $162 per night is a great choice for your next break. This elegant home in the grounds of a mansion of an Empire General welcomes you to its charming nature, leafy barnyard of several hectares, adjacent to a large park overlooking Lake Aureilhan. It is located in a quiet area in the village of Aureilhan, close to the lake (500m), 2 kms from the town of Mimizan and 8 kms from the beaches. A bakery is located in the village. For a capacity of 11 people, ground floor, with access for people with disabilities, it includes a cozy living / dining room with open kitchen and fireplace, a small lounge area with piano, 4 bedrooms including two parents with bathroom and toilet, a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet, and an independent space with a bedroom, a small sitting area and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The accommodation is equipped with television, WIFI, washing machine and dishwasher.

Maison spacieuse très bien équipée avec un jardin clôturé, très calme ; situé dans un parc arboré où il est possible, lors de balades, d'apercevoir des chevreuils, et situé pratiquement au bord du lac d'Aureilhan.

L’hote est très sympathique et comme nous aurons l’occasion de revenir à Mimizan nous ne manquerons pas de retourner dans ce logement !!

Un grand merci pour votre chaleureux accueil dans cette location très agréable, idéalement située, bien équipée et parfaite pour un groupe de 2-3 familles. Le parc est merveilleux, les enfants ont profité pleinement des très grands espaces, pour le bonheur de tous! Le lac est tout prêt, l'océan aussi, et d'autres petites visites et balades, pour tous les goûts. Merci!

For lovers of rural French countryside the place is ideal. The only downside is an intermittent odor from the Mimizan papermill several miles away; we noticed it on two days of our one-week stay. Mimizan plage and the ocean are just 8 km away and easy to reach by car. Kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well equipped, the dining and living room is huge, with an impressive row of eight (!) windows looking out onto the prairie and park - my personal highlight. The bedrooms are a bit small but otherwise OK. The property manager lives nearby and will come whenever needed. She is very helpful and friendly. In summary, it was a wonderful week in a great location.

Tout était parfait et adapté à notre famille avec des personnes âgées. Nous avons été très bien reçu par notre hôtesse d’une grande disponibilité et à notre écoute.
Maison située à la lisière du bois avec possibilité de balades dans la propriété menant au lac d’Aureilhan.
Calme et quiétude sont au rendez-vous dans un logement très bien équipé.
Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

The house (it might be a former barn) is situated in a complex of buildings with a tiny castle in the center and surrounded by meadows and horse barnes. We liked the seclusion of the place, nevertheless there is a supermarket and a bakery within walking distance. Further supermarkets can be reached by car in a few minutes. It takes about 15 minutes by car to get to the stunning beaches of the Atlantic Ocean which allow separateness even in the peak season in August. Surfers like the waves there. There is also a lake within walking distance where one can swim or do some water sports.
Whenever we required some help, our host Emanuelle was on the spot immediately.

Le parc est géant, pleine nature, forêt, à côté à coté de chevaux et du lac. L'accès à la 4ème chambre (calme) se fait en ressortant par la cour de la cuisine donc il serait intéressant de rajouter paillassons, une serpillère pour laver le sol de cuisine (surtout quand il pleut quasi tout le week end).

Très bonne location, propriétaire très agréable et accueillant. Idéal pour passer un week-end entre amis. Nous avons même eu la visite d'un chevreuil derrière la fenêtre.

Magnifique propriété. Le gîte est confortable et beau. Très bon accueil. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Situé dans les bois à côté du centre équestre. A deux pas d'un immense lac. Nous ne sommes venus que 3 jours, il en faut bien plus pour tout découvrir. Nous reviendrons!

grande maison familiale dans un superbe cadre très calme
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille dans cette grande demeure situé à l'orée d'un bois privé avec une grande baie vitrée avec vue sur les chevaux du haras voisin.
Le point négatif a été le ménage non fait l'arrivée:tête de lit en tissu auréolée marron, Kleenex sous le lit, lavabos moisis, carrelage douche moisi, alèses tachées, nids d'araignée sous les matelas des lits de la dépendance, murs à lessiver. Nous avons été obligés de faire une désinfection acariens dans la dépendance.

Très belle propriété, au calme dans un parc boisé. Gérant très sympa et à l'écoute de nos demandes.
Seul petit bémol, le soi-disant accès direct au lac n'est pas possible car il y a un portail fermé et infranchissable. Peut-être faudrait-il prévoir une clef pour les locataires.
Sinon, génial, nous étions 8 gars et tous avons trouvé le site super et avons apssé un excellent WE.

Séjour très agréable, mais descriptif à revoir
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour , la maison est située dans un endroit très calme et les enfants peuvent se défouler dans le parc, la petite terrasse à l'arrière permet un peu d'intimité et appelle au repos. La maison est fonctionnelle , cependant il faut préciser qu'une chambre sur 4 est complètement indépendante (on passe par la terrasse pour y accéder. Enfin le ménage soit disant compris dans le prix ne l'est pas ( j'ai du payer 90 euros).
