A wonderful place to relax and take in the beautiful scenery of Provence. The house is more like a mansion, we all loved it!! The property is located in a quiet area, yet close to everything. A beautiful location if you like to go for hiking. I highly recommend this house!

Wer mit einer großen Gruppe in einer tollen Umgebung Urlaub machen möchte, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. 5 Schlafzimmer mit je einem Bad, ein Riesenpool sowie eine super ausgestattet Küche. Nach einer Woche wurden Bettwäsche und Handtücher getauscht und mal durchgewischt. Super Service. Wer alte Häuser mit einer eigenen Geschichte mag, ist hier richtig. Immer wieder - VielenDank

il ya des lits separés mais que une seule matelats grand pas très interessant pour 2 hommes hétéro de plus que 1.80m ! sinon tout est très bien. Sa sera bien d'avoir des casseroles en extra et des assiettes plus grandes . Mais on est très content de la maison. Très jolie.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine de printemps en groupe dans cette demeure qui mêle cachet ancien et modernité. L'ensemble à beaucoup de charme, des terrasses variées et très agréables, une vaste piscine très bien entretenue par le propriétaire. L'emplacement est idéal, entre Bonnieux et Lascote, deux magnifique villages provençaux, pour rayonner dans toute la région. Seul petit manque : un terrain de pétanque. En tous cas, une maison, facile et agréable à vivre, à recommander chaudement.

First of all, I need to mention Jean Baptiste. I have hired dozens of holiday houses over the years, but he has been the best vendor we've come across. Nothing was too much trouble. For example, I stupidly allowed my car to run out of battery and he went out of his way to resolve the issue. He was also a great source of local information, having lived in the area all his life. The house itself is a 16th century building with stone walls that are over 2 feet thick. It was therefore lovely and cool at all times, regardless of the temperature outside. It is an on-going refurbishment project (the top floor is as yet unrefurbished and out of bounds) but just counting the parts already refurbished make it a very large house. Although the refurbishment has been carried out relatively cheaply, it has been done effectively and made for a very comfortable experience. Being Provence, it was 32-34 degrees celsius most days . But the well thought out large shady areas and the lovely pool made sure no one ever over heated. In terms of the area, the house is perfectly located to explore one of the most beautiful parts of France. It's in between Bonnieux and Lacoste, and we spent a lot of time in Bonnieux in particular. The book " A Year in Provence" was set in this exact area, and was great to read while we travelled around exploring Menerbes, Roussilon, Gordes, Fomtaine-de-Vacluse, and countless other beautiful towns and villages. Overall, a great experience and I very much hope to rent the house again from Jean-Baptiste in the near future.

What a fantastic property! From the moment we enquired to Jean Baptiste, he was always very prompt in responses to us. We had rented the property for the week after our wedding for us and friends and family. The house is stunning and with a very modern interior. The grounds are superb with a fantastic pool with a small kitchen attached. It was a wonderful home from home and the cherry orchards that surround it had the best tasting cherries any of us have ever had. We can't recommend the property highly enough in such a beautiful part of Provence.

My friends and I all stayed in this gorgeous house for a week and had an amazing time. The building is beautiful and very tastefully done up, a real mixture of old meets new. The owner was great and very helpful. The whole area is so beautiful with lovely little French towns situated in the area, the scenery is like something out of a film. Hiring a car is essential. Also, bring insect repellent, there are some evil horseflies and and wasps in the grounds!!

Nous avons passé une semaine détendue et relaxe dans cette superbe maison avec son jardin et entourage fabouleux!!!! Il n'y a rien de négatif à dire. Le propriétaire est très gentil et discret. Nous revenons l'année prochaine!!!!!

Tout était parfait ! Magnifique maison, fraiche, spacieuse (aussi bien les pièces de vie que les chambres) et propriétaire charmant et disponible. Nous étions un groupe d'amis avec des enfants en bas âges. La maison est bien équipée, aussi bien pour les grands que pour les petits (chaises hautes, table à langer, petite baignoire). La maison est idéale avec un grand jardin ombragé et une piscine sécurisée. Situation idéale, proche des villages pour de petites visites. Nous reviendrons :-)

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette très belle bâtisse. La maison est grande, le terrain est très agréable pour les adultes comme pour les enfants, la grande piscine est adaptée à des vacances entre amis. La maison est à 5 minutes en voiture de bonnieux. Pas de voisins. Petit bémol sur l'horaire de départ le dernier jour à 9h30 qui complique la préparation des bagages et l'organisation de la dernière matinée...

The reality of the house is even better than the description on the Homeaway website. The house was clean and bedrooms were ready to sleep directly after arrival. The owner is very flexible and customer oriented. We realy recommend this house to friends and family. The house is really BIG. Kitchen is good equiped. Bedrooms are big. Soundisolation in bedrooms not the best (0ld doors) Garden and Swimmingpool are amazing. Very nice Village Bonnieux. Good bakeries and restaurants. Nice to visit: Bonnieux, Lourmarin, Gordes, Rousillon, Aix en Provence, Avignon.

With our entire family (10 people) we really enjoyed a full week in this amazing house. Fantastic garden, big bedrooms with good bed, good kitchen + complete outfit. Very big Swimming pool and enough room for the complete family everywhere. It was even more impressive than the description on the Homeaway website. We had a very good contact with the owner, who was flexible and very customeroriented. We really recommend this house for big families. Realize that the house is old, this means that the sound in the house comes via the bedroomdoors easily through. The village Bonnieux is a nice village, good restaurants and 2 good bakeries. Every morning we went to the village for the good french croissants and bagettes. And nice villages to visit in the neighbourhooed. (Gordes, Roussilon, Lourmarin)

La cuisine est très bien équipée avec tout ce dont on a besoin. Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse, la discrétion et la disponibilité du propriétaire et de sa compagne. From the moment we arrived, greeted by the lovely owners, all of our needs and desires were well taken care of us. Jean and his wife gave us a tour of the home, inside and out, and told us to contact them if we needed anything! They even took our Christmas card picture for us later in the week. Prior to our arrival, Jean answered every question I had, and trust me, I had lots since we rent often from VRBO. He speaks very good English though he is modest about his abilities, and was so easy to work with concerning payment and deposits. As for the accommodation, the house is extraordinary! It is everything as described above, plus so much more. The house is very large, and all of my children had their own bedroom for once. The views from every room are spectacular. The house is very well maintained, and seems brand new if that is possible in a chalet built hundreds of years ago! There is a washing machine and large wash room which was handy. Also, all of the bathrooms had great water pressure and endless hot water! The grounds of the house are magical. Cherries were literally dropping from trees on the grounds, and my children loved hand-picking their own cherries every day! The yard is immense - we played kickball and soccer most very day. The pool is lovely - very large, with incredible views across to the mountains. It truly feels like something from a fairy tale. My husband and I are avid runners and bikes, and we found endless routes consisting of tiny roads winding in and around vineyards and up and down small hills overlooking lavender fields which were in bloom during our stay. Lacoste is a mile away, and we enjoyed running to the top to experience the expansive view! We also loved eating dinner out in Bonnioux which was a few miles away. This town truly felt like it was perched on the side of a cliff, and the waiters at the two restaurants we frequented became our friends by the end of our stay they were so nice and interesting to talk to. We made a day trip to Cassis, a lovely town on the coast, and also found several good hikes in the area. The days we didn't explore the area, we felt very at home in this gorgeous setting. In fact, I've decided I want to retire to Provence, this area in particular! I highly recommend "Mansion of the 16th Century".
