About this house rental

Dreamcatcher Chalet is a luxurious, Southwestern-style ski chalet in the heart of Taos Ski Valley. Located on an exclusive road just 70 yards from the Rubezahl return trail, this is a unique ski-in and ski-out private home. Simply walk out of the house, down the road a bit, cross over the creek bridge, and ski directly to the base or Lift 1. To return, skiers can make their way “around the world” from the backside of the mountain along the Rubezahl trail. This is one of the best private home locations in Taos—perfect for skiing, which has been exceptional in Taos!

The main house has 4+ bedrooms (plus loft and alcove) and 3.5 baths, comfortably accommodating up to 11 guests. It features two "ensuite" bedrooms: the Master Suite on the first floor and a Queen Suite on the second floor, each with its own private bath.

The spacious living room boasts a stunning floor-to-ceiling Texas limestone fireplace, which serves as the centerpiece of the room. The dining room features an exquisite Mexican mesquite dining table, perfect for gathering after a day on the slopes. Beyond the dining room is a professionally appointed kitchen with a large island, double refrigerators, a professional range, a super-quiet dishwasher, and all the necessary appointments and utensils for preparing meals.

This was one of the best houses we’ve ever rented. The host was gracious and accommodating. Helped us with everything. Clear suggestions, guidance and just overall kindness. The hosue was also stacked with everything. Coffee, spices and condiments for cooking. Every kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes etc was there. Place was clean, and accommodating. Real ski-in/ski-out. And the cherry on top - jacuzzi right out of the master bathroom. 10 out of 10! We slept there 9 guys, which worked out well. Highly recommend. Thank you Rosa! Best host ever.

We just wrapped up our annual ski trip with a group of six, and this home was perfect for us. The house is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and gather comfortably. It never felt crowded, and the common areas were ideal for hanging out after long days on the mountain. The kitchen was a huge highlight. It was exceptionally well stocked with cookware, utensils, and everything we needed to prepare full group meals. We cooked everyday, and it made the experience easy and enjoyable. There is a short walk to and from the ski run, which we found very manageable and well worth it for the location and setting. It added to the mountain experience without being inconvenient. The hosts stayed in the same house during our visit and were wonderful. They were welcoming, respectful of our space, and available if needed, while still giving us complete privacy.Overall, we would return and highly recommend it to any group looking for a comfortable, well-equipped ski getaway.

Rosa was beyond hospitable, readily available & her beautiful servants heart as a retired nurse shows. We arrived much earlier than anticipated & Fernando was skiing & unable to greet us but gave us the code. The home is stunning. Truly. The views and fireplace beckon the soul. Fernando and Rosa stay in the garage attached apartment while you are there. The first night Fernando came in looking for Cinnamon. (no problem but we didnt realize they were staying so close) It appears they live in the home most of the time with their dogs. That said, there was hair everywhere. In the kitchen drawers. Bathroom drawers. Ice trays. Sheets. Everywhere. I really hate to say it but feel I must. There was also multiple existing water leaks on sight w/ visible mold & mildew. The driveway to this home is a hard left turn, up hill. It's tough on a good day. At one point, Rosa & Fernando's dog came running out and we stopped as we were turning in the drive, as to not hit the dog - to find out we had lost all traction and slid all the way down the way back down the hill. We were there when Winter Squall Olive hit & an avalanche close to the home. It was intense. We missed flights & ended up checking out by 2 PM once the tractors were able to dig out our road. hot tub lid blew off & as Rosa sent a picture of it letting us know she was filing a claim on that a missing fireplace poker one of the boys used in the snow. Slopes are 75 yards - A hike unclipp required. Both ways. There is some work to
