Convenient location on the Cabot Trail, perfectly placed for our travel plan. This place was battered by hurricane Fiona a few years ago and has mostly recovered. The main building and the cabins are modern, some of the rooms are not and have their original rustic décor (not necessarily a bad thing). There's a good flow of hot water in the shower. The property borders a sandy beach! It was very relaxing sitting in the Muskoka chairs looking seaward (the great weather helped). The large dining room serves a very nice dinner (I had salmon and it was great). There's a pub downstairs with live music Friday and Saturday nights. The staff we met were uniformly excellent. We're glad we stayed there.
There are two choices for breakfast in the dining room: a version similar to the "free" breakfast at chain motels for $20, and a beverage/baked item for $6. The former is not really good value and seemed poorly-attended. We had the latter.

The bed was nice and comfortable and pillows were of quality not cheap ones. The staff took care of any of our concerns.
It took over and hour to get our meal even though we had reservations. There were not very many people in the restaurant. People who came in after us by atleast 20 mins had their meals before us. The management took care of us with some comps and gave us a discount on our bill, but nonetheless.

Our cabin didn’t have an outside light on as we arrived just after 10 pm.
