Nice room, good breakfast, easy access to fishing pier.

Excellent! The included breakfast was deliciously hot and fresh. Plenty of everything, although I would have preferred a choice of bacon AND sausage EVERY morning we stayed there. The breakfast staff and front desk were fantastic and the guys bartending in the evening were friendly and very attentive. WE ARE RETURNING SOON... idyllic lobby, feels like stepping back in time on a movie set! Like magic....reminds me of the movie "Somewhere In Time" with Christopher Reeve. Our walks on the ocean front and the pier were memorable! The porpoise in the mornings...Rockport Beach, WOW!!!
The only discordant note during our whole 3 night stay this year was a short, grumpy older maintenance man who confronted us while we were relaxed by the pool lounge chairs the first morning, with our small Service Dog restrained in his cart and wearing his bright vest. When he noticed us there, I saw him make a beeline to our spot to grudgingly warn us, in front of other guests already there, that "it was okay to have the dog by the pool, but that we were not allowed to have him in the water", something we would have never thought of even attempting. We had given no indication of even wanting to place our doggie near the water, as I am a very disciplined, senior disabled military retiree and returning guests from last year! Most definitely, he seemed like an individual that's given a bit of responsibility, it gets inflated in his head and he enjoys the power trip in front of everyone there. Other guests even gave us a sympathetic nod, as they were also at a loss to explain his absurd remark. No further incidents with the "hallway proctor" after this!

The location is very nice for us
The bar and restaurant closed on Sunday and the phones didn’t work and the air conditioner. Was very very loud.
