The view was exceptional. We could have been happy not even going anywhere, the whole trip!! The property location is good, with moderate travel time to Acadia. The cathedral ceiling is fun. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Queen bed was too soft -- developed a sore back.

The location of Hancock Cottage is exceptional....the sea air greets you as soon as you arrive at the private oceanfront house, surrounded by a lovely pine forest. There are multiple spots on the property to enjoy views of the ocean, Mt Desert Island, and the wildlife. We watched the seals every evening and bald eagles frequently made a great show as well. Bar Harbor and Acadia are convenient to get to, however, the local area also has plenty to offer in terms of outdoor activities and restaurants. The hosts are a delight to work with and the home has all the amenities your could ask for in a location like this. We would definitely return.
