The location. The little village is lovely.
I think the hotel has a great potential. The historic building is beautiful, with better furnishing it would be perfect.

Polis 1907 is a lovely small and beautifully restored hotel. Restaurant (Asian fusion style) on the ground level of the hotel is great, very good food for fair prices. Lovely staff at the hotel, everyone was most kind. Breakfast was great, not buffet style but you order from the menu and everything on the breakfast menu is very delicious. Size of dishes at breakfast is huge.
Our room overlooked the backyard and faced neighbouring building so we did not have a good view from the room. Also most of rooms do not have a balcony so there is no room to dry your beach towels and bathing suits. The bathroom in our room was very small and you felt like showering in a camper van.

The general, boutique-like feeling. A very large room. Many amenities (a bottle of white sparkling wine and a plate of fruit as welcome gift). Full breakfast included in the fare. Location at the very center of Polis town, a low-key, very nice small village north of Paphos, in an old stone building. Not far from the Akamas peninsula and its lovely trails.
Breakfast is paradoxically "too full". A la carte, no buffet, it comes with a basket of toasts, croissants, butter and jams, plus one breakfast plate to order (like full English bkf, pancakes, Cyprus-like breakfast, omelette, etc. etc.), which is itself would feed a young and active teen :-) . It would be nice to be able to "scale-down" one's choices. It is, of course, an expensive place, relative to the ongoing rates of the region, but one does know about it before hand.
