Situated in Butler Beach, this attractive house for $167 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Located within a minute’s walk from the beach, Ocean Palms is the ideal getaway for one or two families in St. Augustine Beach. The neighborhood is on the ocean side of the A1A, so you’ll never have to worry about traffic. Also, just minutes from your door are the historic downtown and some of the best golf you’ll find anywhere in the world. Ocean Palms is a four-bedroom / three-bathroom air-conditioned home that sleeps eight comfortably. Walk through the front door into a large, open concept great room where you’ll find plenty of comfortable seating to watch the large HDTV. There’s also free Internet in Ocean Palms so you can easily check out websites for area attractions, make restaurant reservations and set tee times. The open concept design brings everyone together and encourages group activities and fun. The patio is just beyond the sliding glass doors. This is a fun place to share an evening cocktail, barbecue up the day’s catch or sit and visit with your friends. Also in the large great room is the dining area with large wooden table and chairs. Just beyond it is the breakfast bar that can provide overflow seating for the kids if needed. The kitchen is close by, which makes serving and clearing the table quick and easy. The breakfast bar also can work as a convenient buffet service area for diners. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare excellent meals for your friends and family. We love this property so much, we have started looking at available properties in the neighborhood. This was our second time staying here and we really feel like Anastasia Island is our home away from home. The property was clean and conveniently located. We were very happy to find that there was a canopy in the garage for our use at the beach as we had forgot to bring one. If we do not purchase our own property, we will come back to this one again. We really loved the beach. It is our favorite that we have been to.

Great location! Just a short 5-minute walk to the beach and about 15 minute drive to the downtown area. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and everything needed. The layout of the house was great! We had a party of 8 with 3 sisters and their families and it was plenty of room to lounge around. The bigger than average bathrooms were great as well! We would definitely visit again when coming back to the area.

Loved the location. Nice to be able to walk to beach, close to shopping, little park across the street. Quiet neighborhood, little road noise but easy access to main road. Nice layout for families. Property managers very nice and quick response! Thank you enjoyed our stay.

We stayed with 3 other couples. The location was perfect.

The property overall is nice, but a bit basic. Great location and when we needed a new propane tank, the property manager was prompt and attentive.
Biggest issue is more with VRBO. They quoted us a price that we agreed on, then changed it (a significant increase) and blamed it on the property management company. The management company was very nice, but did refer us back to VRBO who ignored our complaint until it was too late to make changes.
Bottom line: the location was overpriced for what it was, VRBO's customer service support was poor and we are more likely to deal with property managers directly in the future instead of VRBO. Felt ripped off.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful and we had plenty of room to spread out which was great since our family ranged from age 76 - 9. We loved how close we were to the beach and that we could load up my father in laws truck with everything we needed for the day and have it right there on the beach. Nice Place
Very clean and good gathering spaces. Could use some pavers out front on either side of the driveway, though, as it was a little narrow for two vehicles abreast.
Otherwise, a good stay. Appreciate the access to the laundry room!!

The only complaints I have is we waited outside the house with children during a bad storm for about 2 hours because the code that was given didnt work. Trying to reach a owner or host was a nightmare. After getting a new code through Vrbo we finally got in. During our stay we were let know that they owner forgot to log out of his netfilx via voicemail. We logged out and tried to return the call to let them know we did so, with no answer. 20 mins later a gentleman from vtrips arrived at our house to let us know about the issue. It was a little off putting considering we had to wait for a new code but they show up as soon as there was an issue on their end. There was no real privacy from neighbors or public walking to the beach. The price was very worth it and the location was fantastic, house was very clean. Just wish we could of got our 2 hours we wasted back. Thank you for having us.

The property is literally two short blocks to the drive on entrance to the beach. Perfect for our disabled son. The house was in great shape, very clean.

The house was really nice and very clean. The master shower was really fantastic. The property has a lot of beach chairs and toys and such. The property is very convenient to the beach being on the beach side of A!A, however being on A1A it does have a bit of road noise and fronting a beach access road makes it very busy. I figured this may be a possibility being located as it was. It is not a knock, just a reality. The kitchen could possibly use a few more utensils (knives for prepping, different size plastic spoons, another measuring cup, etc.) and maybe some glassware for juice. The only other things that we probably should have contacted the property manger about was there was no separate recycling container and was not picked up when we put it in the spare garbage can. There was also no remote control for fan/light that we could find and which is needed to operate fan/light.
All that being said it is still a great place and very conveniently located. Close to the beach and not very far from town.

I like the property. Parking is limited. The access information prior to arrival was incorrect. There was a palm tree hanging down into the driveway that needed trimmed, which it was. The inside is spacious and I liked that it had 2 living rooms to separate guests if need be. There is a pull out couch upstairs, but I don't believe there were sheets anywhere. The biggest problem is that the mattresses suck. Specifically, the mattress in the master bedroom. I let them know, even sent pictures, but apparently that wasn't good enough, because nothing was done about it. So, If you stay here, plan on the master bedroom having a mattress that is like a double canoe. Really, it sucks. But if you don't care about a crappy mattress then book away, because the property met expectations otherwise. When you book, you will also be told that you can't turn the thermostat below 72 or they will charge you extra. The master shower is big enough for 2 people, but only has 1 shower head, so if you get in there with your partner anticipate that one of you will be cold. Location was close to the beach. Oh, the driveway is close to the road, every time I backed out of the driveway, I kept thinking that someone was going to run into my car as that street is the access point to the beach and it experiences heavier traffic than other streets that run perpendicular to the ocean. There were also people working on the house immediately north on A1A and there were crews working on the sidewalk or something starting at 7 am every morning, although I imagine that the work will be completed by the time you stay at this property. My wife was freaked out because there were some roaches and other insects in the property, didn't bother me one bit, I think insects inside are normal for FL. Overall, not a bad place.

Great location
Great location. Nice house layout for a group. We had a great visit. That being said there were series of issues. when we arrived the house was hot & humid - clearly AC had not been on very long, nor was it set at reasonable cool temp. it took awhile to sort out the programmable thermostat without instructions. the master bedroom was always too warm. Additionally the property management company never showed up to replace the frig water filter even tho I called the day we arrived. We spent whole week listening to it alarm every time someone got cold water.

Beautiful home
This was a beautiful home to stay at. Great layout, super close to the beach (less than two minutes walk). The reason I took a star was that the grill didn’t work and the master toilet paper holder was broken off the wall. Besides having to buy a new grill for the house (since that’s the type of food we bought BEFORE we knew about the grill) it was a lovely stay. Easy directions. It even had boogie boards for the kids to play with in the ocean. Lovely home. Thank you.

The location was good and the layout of the house and bedrooms was good.
We enjoyed our stay. The town and beach were very nice. The toilet paper holder in one bathroom and a door lock were a little loose but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We are golf and tennis players, and we found very good facilities for both sports within a 5-30 minutes drive. Ocean Palm is also a 15 minutes drive from the beautiful city of Saint Augustine.
I would have given the property 5 stars if it had a deck. There is space for it, so I suggest that the owner make that upgrade. The property is also close to A1A, but for a family with no small kids that was not a problem for us.

We arrived 20 minutes of 4pm with food and ice and could not get an early entry into the home. At almost $400 a night since none of the fees are refundable this was a bit of a bummer. Waiting at the dirty front door in 97 degree heat with our ice and groceries was not a great start. After getting inside we were happily surprised that aside from the spotty stainless steel, everthing else was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had only 3 guests, but there are 4 bedrooms 2 well appointed living rooms (1 up 1down a great place to stash the video gamers) and another mattress in the upstairs laundry room. The kitchen was well appointed with the exception of sandwich plates. I think there were only 4. There were beach chairs and boogie boards but check your chair some are broken. There is no smoking in this property which is great however there are threatening signs with a $500 fine in all of the bedrooms. When staying away from home, It doesn't feel like home with signs like this. This home lacks an outdoor patio with some seating. There is a gas grill on a dirty unkept concrete pad with a dirty carpet remnant. The beach is steps away and it is gorgeous, uncrowded and you can drive a 4x4 right to your spot for a fee. Beach access is free but there is no parking which wasn't a problem as it is steps away. Overall, aside from a few things, we had a great stay. Would we stay again? Absolutely.
