This updated three-bedroom Night Heron Cottage is located in East Beach Village, adjacent to Night Heron Park and Pool, and just a short walk to the beach. Nestled within a private canopy of trees, this cottage enjoys the best of both worlds – close proximity to Kiawah’s amenities and the peaceful reserve of a coastal getaway. This one story cottage features a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and large living room. The great room, which includes both the living and dining areas, features beautiful hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a wet bar, a wine cooler and a travertine tiled fireplace. The open floor plan makes it the perfect gathering place for family and friends. Sliding glass doors, located at the far end of the room, open to the spacious screened porch, where you can relax after a day of resort activities, and take advantage of the cool afternoon breezes. The back deck, accessible from the screened porch and master bedroom, offers an inviting place for you to enjoy your morning coffee in a peacefully wooded setting. For nature lovers, the screened porch and back deck offer remarkable spots to capture glimpses of Kiawah’s unique Island life, nature, and wildlife. The living room features comfortable seating, a new 55-inch flat screen TV with ROKU and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals during your stay and includes hardwood floors and a cozy eating area. The master bedroom has a King-sized bed with a flat screen TV as well as its own private bathroom. The second bedroom has a new queen-size bed and a flat screen TV. The third bedroom has two new XL twin beds, and a flat screen TV with DVD player. These rooms share a bathroom. The cottage is centrally located, making it a short trip to any of the 5 world-class golf courses on the Island. The cottage’s East Beach location is adjacent to the 21-acre Night Heron Park complex, the hub for concerts, special functions, and sporting events. The park features basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields, a playground, nature center, pool complex, and fitness trail complete with cardio and strength training stations. Night Heron’s Pool complex includes both the Family Pool, a Jr. Olympic size pool with an aqua sundeck, lounging area and space for lap swimming, and the Night Heron Children’s Pool, featuring two amazing open flume slides, and a large toddler splash zone with baby bouncers and a toddler gator slide. The pool's expansive beach entry and interactive spray features that include water cannons and a 30-gallon dumping bucket are sure to excite children and adults alike. The cottage is less than a 10 minute walk to the 10 mile beach along the Atlantic Ocean. Guests also have access to the Adults Only pool at the Tennis Center. This cottage is also fully furnished with a washer, dryer, and wireless internet. There is also a full size outdoor shower. Towels and bed linens are provided. You will have full check-in privileges and all amenities as a resort guest including access to all resort pools, complimentary on island transportation and discounts on golf, tennis, and bikes. Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed inside the cottage. During the summer months we only accept week long reservations, running Saturday to Saturday. Wish we picked a different villa. We have been staying in Night Heron for over 20 years. This was by far the most disappointing villa we've stayed in. Lots of roaches. Very unclean. Broken chairs. Outdated everything. Do not make the mistake of looking under a sofa. I'm not one to post a negative review...ever. But I'd definitely choose another villa next time unless the owner decides to truly clean this place up. Went to another villa across the street and it was updated, clean and well maintained. Same price. Good luck.

We had a great experience in kiawah. This villa is a great location to the park, pool and the market. A very short bike ride to the beach! Having the resort privileges is the big perk of renting this property. Only negative thing I would say is that it needs a lot of renovations and updates throughout the home. But it was clean, spacious and location was perfect!

Property was clean and in a great location close to Night Heron pool and park and easy walk or bike ride to beach access. Had a great time. Only comment would be to provide contour sheets for the beds that fit. Also nonstick frying pans would be a nice addition to an otherwise well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend this property.

This cottage really set the beach vibe for us and we were stunned at the ambiance it provided for our week long trip to Kiawah. The owner was very quick to respond with any and all questions we might have had prior to our stay, and we didn't need to reach out to Cheryl at all during our stay because we had zero issues with it. It's a 2 minute bike to the beach and having the pool amenities is a MUST with little ones. Sure there may have been a stain or bug here and there, but guess what, ITS A BEACH COTTAGE! My family of 5 loved it as it was a perfect size for us. We especially loved the 3 season room at night where we could sit out and listen to the owls, whippoorwills, and all the other island life. You could even hear the waves is the tide was rough enough. Thank you for an amazing vacation, Cheryl!

My children loved going to the 2 pools with the water slides! Beds were comfortable. We loved going for bike rides on the trails. Longer walk than expected to beach with 2 children.. About 10- 15 min walk but easy to get to beach with bikes.

We were not expecting all the resort amenities when we booked, as we had no idea how large the resort complex was. The house layout was perfect for our family, and the nieghborhood was very peaceful. The owners were more than accomidating when the resort failed to send the welcome packet on time. Would highly recommend this property to others.

We had the best stay on Kiawah Island!! What a treat to be so centrally located to the pool, the beach and The Sanctuary! We had a blast, fun for the whole family of all ages! We will cherish the memories made and hope to return!

The pictures of this property are much more generous than my experience. The rugs were stained, there were various broken pieces of something scattered on a table, one gutter had broken and was hanging off the porch, and the cabinets and dressers looked like they had been misused or were not maintained. Its appearance was like other low-maintenance rental-only properties. Overall, the property was acceptable, but I wouldn't highly recommend it to others.

House was perfect, location is perfect. Close to pool, beach, park. I have stayed in different areas(spent a lot more money) I can honestly say that Night Herron Cottages is the only pace I'll stay again. The only complaint about this house is the lack of cooking utensils. No spatula, colander, tongs or oven mitts made cooking a little adventurous. I assume these get restocked at some point in the year.
