Situated in Poipu, this attractive condo for $599 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Guest to pay onsite management Castle Resorts direct at check in/out for required cleaning. Full check out cleaning for 1 bedroom units for 2023-2024 is $268.00 plus 17.962% tax. Any stays over 10 nights also require a full mid stay cleaning at a cost of $110 plus 17.962% tax. Under 10 nights you only have to pay the checkout cleaning fee. Cleaning rates and taxes subject to change. Please consult with Castle Resorts for the most up to date cleaning rates. This is as of December 2023 Kiahuna plantation is a low density bungalow style resort located on 35 acres of tropical paradise. It is a lovely resort with one of the highest revisit rates on the island and is located right on one of the best swimming beaches in Poipu. Our unit is one of the only few in the development to be so close to the sand. Our unit 10 is located on the ground level of a two story building, ocean front in building 3. The condo has been recently renovated by one of the islands premier interior decorators. From the kitchen and living room it looks directly out over the ocean where you can enjoy the gorgeous views. Our unit has a fully-equipped fully open kitchen, king-size bedroom, queen sofa pullout bed, allowing for up to 4 people total occupancy, as well as many owner-supplied extras. Children are certainly welcome at Kiahuna and our unit is one of the best for kids as it opens up right on to the expansive lawn where they can play. We take great pride in our unit and keep it constantly updated. Recent improvements include a newly upholstered sofa and chairs, plantation shutters, new appliances, new bath tile, and new lanai furniture. We also offer a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience, which is a feature you will not find in some of the other units as Kiahuna. Please note that there is no central air conditioning in the units at Kiahuna but our unit is situated to take full advantage of the trade winds to cool the air naturally. Ceiling fans are available in the unit. Our guests have all the privileges available to any other Kiahuna guest, free wireless internet access, and support staff through the onsite management company Castle Resorts. They are there to serve you with any problem that might arise. Swimming/Tennis/Fitness Enjoy complimentary use of the exclusive Poipu Beach Athletic Club directly across Poipu Road for swimming and tennis. Note-not all units at Kiahuna are members. Our unit will provide you complementary access during your stay. There is also a beach hut onsite where you can rent snorkel equipment and boogie boards and other beach necessities. Surfing lessons are offered several mornings a week on the beach in front of the unit. Beach chairs and towels provided free-of-charge at the beach hut. There are quite a few gas barbeques located throughout the grounds for your use. This is an excellent place to meet and talk with other guests staying at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort. Lots of restaurants are within an easy stroll of the property. This unit has an in unit washer and dryer which is not common in most other units. It also has a top quality King Matress in the bedroom. Best location on the resort property. Recent additions to unit as of November 2015 1. We added a wide screen 4K HD smart TV in the living room. If you have an account with channels like Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, etc., you should be able to use it to see these channels. You need to be on HMDI 2 for that. HMDI 1 is for cable. 2. We moved the HD TV that was in the living room to the bedroom which had no TV. It has its own cable box so you can watch different channels in each room. 3. New washer and dryer that will be installed. 4. In the kitchen we put in a new toaster, new coffee maker, added a new set of sharp cutting knives. Also a rug that covers most of the walking area. 5. In the bedroom we added a light in the closet that works off of motion. We added new colorful bed spread and matching pillow coverings. Also rugs by each side of the bed. 6. Changed out the fan switches so that the speed could be controlled easier. Adding more light dimmers. 7. Castle phase 1 has upgraded the WIFI speed significantly. The location of this property is amazing. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. You are literally steps from the beach. You can lounge on the grass or the sand. We had four people which was a little tight but definitely manageable and worth having a unit so close to the beach. The host was always very prompt with her responses. We will absolutely be back.

We loved it here so much. Poipu was a beautiful area and a nice central location to Waimea and Hanalei, and this condo was incredible. Just steps from the beach. In a nice town you can bike ride around. Tons of things to do. We will be back.

The condo was clean and well appointed. The location was excellent - can't beat being right in front of kiahuna beach. The condo was well situated - we could walk to the athletic club, poipu beach, poipu shopping mall, etc. Brooke was amazing, she was very responsive and helpful! Thank you Brooke!

This property is on the big lawn and a stones throw from the beach. The view is beautiful from this lovely condo. The kitchen is well stocked and the lanai is perfect for your morning coffee or great for dinner since the BBQ is close. Beautifully decorated.

The unit was everything that was advertised. We stayed with a family of four.
My wife and I found a mattress to be exceptionally comfortable. And the kids (7 & 3) found the pull out mattress acceptable. We ended up putting it on the floor every day as that was more comfortable than the couch frame (I wouldn’t have wanted to sleep on the sofa bed as an adult).
Bathroom is clean. Water pressure was strong. Washer and dryer. Both worked well.
No A/C, but we didn’t “need” it. Though there were a few times we wished we had it. Overall, if you open the windows on both sides, you get a pretty good cross breeze.
Are all appliances worked well in the kitchen. It was also well stocked with utensils, cutting boards, mixing bowls, etc.
One of the cabinets had leftover salts, a smattering of seasonings, and a little bit of cooking oil. You probably don’t want to count on all those things being there, but it was a nice surprise for us.
The gym across the street is wonderful. And the food at their poolside cafe is actually quite good (and reasonable, considering Hawaii prices.
Now, the highlight of this unit, is the location!
Opening the blinds and sliding glass door every morning was an absolute joy. The lanai exits onto the soft and perfectly manicured grass, and it is one of the shortest possible walks to the beach, of any of the units in Kiahuna plantation.
If we ever have the opportunity and finances to return to Kauai we would look for this property first.

We had a wonderful vacation stay at the resort, especially with the location of this particular unit in relation to the quick access to the beach.
The grass area leading up to the beach in front of the unit and BBQ area are very well kept.

I was in Kauai to celebrate a friends 50 th birthday. One couple had a unit right on the beach and the other four couples had units further from the beach and closer to the main road. My friends on the beach did not have direct beach access which was problematic. My unit was completely central to the grass area, beach, and facilities so we all met there everyday….it was the perfect gathering place and place to hang out. The pictures are true to form, great cross winds and a very comfortable bed. Would definitely love to stay at this Unit again!

This is a nice condo and had everything we needed for our two week stay. It has more kitchen counter space than some other units we’ve stayed in. The bed is very comfortable. We loved the view and being so close to the ocean.

We loved our stay eventually. Arrived to find unit filthy. Black hair inside the sheets, shower, sink. There was so much grease on the stove and knobs we couldn’t touch anything.We were discusted. Slept on top of bed until a cleaning crew could come in and do a complete cleaning. Also we were insulted with rules such as “put towels on furniture before sitting “ We are not slobs. Too many notes everywhere. This was our 29th trip to the island and we are very respectful of others property. Loved the location and eventually had a great time. BTW, the fake bougettes are layered in dust and should be thrown out.

The property was clean and had everything we needed - only exception was we couldn’t find any laundry detergent, but I don’t know if this was to be provided or not. Location is great and can walk out the front door right onto the lawn and beach. The property is well-maintained and clean with great landscaping. Other guests were very quiet and the stay was very peaceful. You can walk to Poipu beach as well. Would be happy to stay here again.

I’ll start with the positive….the location of this condo was exceptional! We were steps to the beach, parking, & grass area. Now to the not so exceptional part….the condo was VERY dirty when we arrived. The “cleaning job” that had just been done prior to our arrival was so bad we called the management to return to clean. The second job wasn’t much better than the first. Floors were disgusting with grime in all the corners, grit and grease were on the counters, refrigerator, stove, etc. I think that it has been years (if ever) since this unit has had a good cleaning. The furniture was very old, stained, and uncomfortable. The linens were also worn out. The king sized mattress was so old and uncomfortable, we even rotated it in order to not fall in the huge dents made by previous guests. I seriously don’t think that it has ever been replaced. The unit smelled musty and old….and unclean. It had a bad dirty odor. All of the dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. were old and cheap. They were also not very clean. I definitely cleaned most everything prior to using …..if they were even usable. The community bbq was close and nice to use.
This owner has not invested a dime into their investment unit. To charge the kind of money that they charged per night, I expected a clean & updated unit.
This was my first VRBO experience, and perhaps my last.

Location can’t be beat
Oceanfront. You can hear the waves as you fall asleep and look at the beautiful water as you have your coffee. The apartment looks exactly like pictured. Communication with Brooke was excellent. There is a washer/dryer in unit which was a huge plus. The property in general is lush and conveniently located. There is no AC but we didn’t need it given the breeze. We’d book again.
Some small improvements that might help make the stays even better. The toaster didn’t work and iron has the knobs missing. While the cleaning crew did a good job in cleaning most used surfaces, they had missed all the pocket doors. Again, none of this came in the way of our enjoying the property but just small things.

Favorite unit in Kiahuna Plantation!
We’ve stayed at Kiahuna many times and I continue to love this property for its grassy lawns and homey welcoming feel. Of all the units we’ve stayed in this was by far the most incredible location. We loved that the kids could walk to and from the beach from the patio. We loved using the bbq and dinner with the beachfront view of sunset. The unit was equipped with everything we needed as well and we especially loved having the washer/dryer to keep us in clean clothes throughout our stay. If you are contemplating this unit, go for it! The only caution I would advise has to do with your checkout cleaning fee. Check your Castle bill carefully when you check in to make sure they charge you only for the cleanings you are responsible for and nothing more. Twice now in separate stays Castle has tried to overcharge me but when shown proof of what I agreed to pay in the VRBO listing they quickly fixed the charges. I can’t wait to return to Kiahuna and I hope to be lucky enough to stay in a unit like this one again! Mahalo!
