Nestled in Eden Isle, this charming house for $1,000 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Hi, thank you for viewing this amazing home. This is the most relaxing place to be. It’s located in Slidell, LA on Lake Pontchartrain. It’s 5 miles across the Hwy 11 bridge to New Orleans and is less than 30 minutes to the French Quarter, Super Dome, Jazz Fest and Essence Fest. If traveling East, the House is 35 miles to the Casinos along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets into the lake while sitting poolside or from the upstairs balcony. The porch which wraps around the whole house that will give you shade and a pleasant breeze anytime of the day. If you love fishing and crabbing, this is the place. Fish and crabs can be caught off the pier without a boat. Fish all day and night. There is a boat launch 1 mile away. Bring your own boat and jet skis. Fishing charters are available through local fishing Captains. As of this posting the boat launch was renting boats. There is no problem finding a spot to sunbath. The grounds spaciously accommodate outdoor activities like volley ball, football and cabbage baseball. The pool is a saltwater pool. On the ground floor is 3800 sq. ft. of paved covered area for bar-b-q, parking cars or hanging out. There are a total of 12 beds which are 5 king beds, 2 queen beds and 5 full beds. The house has four full baths and two ½ baths. The house has a complete kitchen, and a laundry room on each floor with a washer and dryer. We have high-speed wifi. Towels, linens, soap, hair dryers, iron and ironing board are provided. This large lot has parking for several cars. This is a great Home for Family Vacations and Getaways. The house is close to many restaurants, groceries, shopping malls and more. No Smoking. No Pets, No wild parties. This is a family venue! Early check-ins are available at $100 per each hour prior to 3:00 p.m. Late check-outs are free if available. It is recommended that you purchase a vacation/trip insurance policy if some unforeseen reason you have to cancel. There are many vacation/trip insurance companies that can be found online. It is easy to do. It is required that you make all payments on time. Once a payment is 7 days late, the reservation will be canceled and no refund given.

We adored our stay at the Lake House and highly recommend it! Out of all the houses we've stayed in the NOLA area this is hands-down our favorite. Larry was very responsive and check in was a breeze. We found the house very clean and well-stocked.
We appreciated that the dock and pool were gated for extra safety. This spot is a bird watchers dream, it's really magical watching the herons over the lake in the morning with a coffee on the deck.
Besides the scenery, the house has an ideal layout for our family gathering. There are large, open communal spaces for gathering on every level (even under the house!) but the bedrooms are private and tucked away so older folks had no problem sleeping early while others stayed up. Having two laundry rooms was a very convenient plus for our crew.
The location of the house sets it apart from the neighbors and makes it feel very secluded and private, especially in the lakeside area with the pool.

Overall the experience was very nice.
Eight military brothers of a special group we reunion every year with a different host.
The ability to fish and crab from the pier was absolutely wonderful. Close to golf course satisfied the group that golfed. There was not a need for space, very spacious accommodations. More than enough beds and bathrooms. Some very minor aesthetics and I was looking forward to a heated pool, but did not feel heated. But I would definitely do it again. Actually considering it for next year.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Host was very good about responding to any questions or concerns, always responded within 30 minutes or so. The only two things we were not happy about was that every bedroom does not have a TV and, the towels, wash cloths and dish towels have a very heavy sour smell, recommend bringing them with you.

We had a group of 20 adults (ages 29+) that stayed at this lake house paradise. Everything was as pictured however the pictures doesn't do this property justice. We so fell in love with this home and scenery. Waking up every morning was so peaceful and serene. The home was spacious enough for 20 adults with no problem. We used the pool everyday and even figured out how to get it heated, it was perfection. Location was 30 mins from French Quarters and 18 mins from Nola Pedal Barge so it was perfect for us. Larry was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. I'd def stay here again and recommend it to others. You can't go wrong booking this home.

This property was very nice and spacious. It’s proximity to New Orleans was good and you could walk to a restaurant. The only downside is it is very close to a train track. Also, the pool was cold.

This is third house in three years. The bedrooms and baths were exceptional and the porch and outside spaces were great. Nine of my grands 18-26 were very content with space and adults were very comfortable. We came in behind another rental and things were done well except soap for washing instructions. Parking for six cars and a Bay boat and Slidell is a wonderful town with good eating places. We enjoyed the smoker for grilled oysters and bouidan as we made our own cajon delight meal.

We stayed in October 2022 and had beautiful weather. It was enjoyable to have morning coffee on the porch and the pool and wharf were enjoyed by all. There were 7 adults and we had room to sit to watch TV and have meals together. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate Larry's responsiveness to our requests during our time at the house.

Our family came in from 7 different states; it was so nice to be together under one roof instead of separate hotel rooms. It enabled us to spend time together as a group! The pool was incredible and the wrap around porch was amazing! Every room was clean and spacious. It was so fun! Some chose to simply enjoy the breeze while sitting on the porch, while others spent most of their time in and around the pool. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen, dining and living area. We prepared meals together, talked, laughed, debated, played games, talked about old memories and made new ones!!!!!

Wow - this house was amazing!! Right on the water with a private pool. We came with a group of 14 and everyone got to sleep in a bed. Absolutely loved this place. Looked just like the pictures and Larry was such a great host. Thank you so much for having us!!

The house is on Lake Ponchatrain with outstanding ammenities! A peir for fishing, a pool for cooling off and hanging out, setup for BBQ or a Crawfish Boil, and so much more! The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The airconditioning systems worked excellently for both floors! Lots of places for people to gather together in small and large groups. Larrry was an excellent host and very helpful from the beginnning of our stay until the end!

What a great place to stay. Not only is it a beautiful home with an excellent view, but there is also a lot of space inside and outside to hang out. We had 6 couples in our group and never felt like we were crowded. We loved the pool during the day and at night with lights that changed colors continuously. The deck chairs were a plus around the pool to get some sun and look out over the huge lake. We loved the large pier area to fish and crab. Plus, the large area under house to cook what we caught. Getting to New Orleans was an easy drive. We loved being on Lake Pontchartrain and not in downtown New Orleans. We found a great restaurant with outside seating on the lake and live music about 5 minutes away in Slidell. The Host was responsive for any questions we had before and during our stay !!! Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate a 60th birthday in style.

Unresponsive, unprofessional ruined 30 military reunion due to owners lack of planning.
We are extremely disappointed, as a group of Veterans (some disabled) who served the greatest country on God's green earth. Found this property and was looking forward to our 30th reunion found a house that was extremely filthy, puddles of unknown liquid on the floor, beds that were extremly slept in and food, dishes. We even checked in a few hours late, because some of our group own rental properties and like to do a walk through with our house cleaning staff prior to check in. This was not the case and when we try to contact owner he wanted to remove cleaning charge. This was boarding disrespectfull since we flew in from all over the state to stay her to correct his mistake and we attempted to work with him but was told, "my cleaning person had a emergency what do you want me to do" needless to say that day we all found other accommodations but I'm sure he has done this before and will continue to do so. I hope owner learns that a customer service business is about customer service, pass this home if you want to enjoy New Orleans...look for the house owned by the Wal-Mart family gem on Vrbo.
