Drive along the trickling mountain stream down into the property which looks out over Hubbard Brook. The 3 story modern log “lodge” appears through the trees and the moss covered rocks greet you. Offering 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms for convenience on each level, you will want for nothing during your stay. The open concept living room has many delightful details and is the perfect gathering place after a day of snowboarding or skiing, relaxing on the lake, or hiking in the wilderness. The large open kitchen has every convenience and can easily accommodate the preparation of your gourmet meals, while the dining area is beautifully perched overlooking Hubbard Brook. The lower level family room offers a bar, sitting area, and walkout to the fire pit and hot tub overlooking the brook. After your first night's rest you’ll notice the great outdoors is just a few steps away; the house is surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest, and beautiful Mirror Lake is across the street. This rental was a perfect fit for our group, which included an infant, two couples and 2 singles. Big but still cozy house in a storybook setting convenient to nearby restaurants and stores. Joyce was a wonderfully communicative host, and we appreciated the many thoughtful touches that indicate this house and place is well loved. Wonderful vacation!

Words can't describe the experience we had with our family at this " Perfect Cabin". Plenty of space and privacy that we felt like we did not have to leave to relax. We went up with 8 family members and we all share laughs and smiles the whole week. We literally felt the stress leave when we arrived and enjoyed every second. Hope to be back next year!!!!

Joyce was an excellent host- she has truly thought of everything to ensure a great stay and was friendly and communicative. The property itself was perfect; a short walk to Mirror Lake, secluded for privacy, and nestled right on the river with a hot tub and fire pit. The cabin was comfortable and well-stocked with games and puzzles. We felt so at ease here and would love to come back sometime. Don't miss hiking Mount Washington and Franconia Notch State Park!

The cabin has everything you would want in a cabin experience including a beautiful outdoor property! Fire pit, wood, hot tub (although we never went in), and chairs overlooking the river created a peaceful "camp" experience. Joyce was fantastic with replying to any questions I had and also reached out to confirm we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Joyce is a super host! So responsive and easy to communicate with. The cabin is set in the woods surrounded by beautiful tall trees and a babbling brook. The cabin is very clean, spacious, cozy and comfortable. We will definitely book again!

We loved our stay at Joyce’s lovely Cabin. Our stay included family, and the house was equipped with everything needed to delight young kids and adults alike. We love to cook - kitchen was perfectly stocked! Kids were entertained by a great selection of toys and games. We would stay again!

We loved Joyce's property so much that we came back the following year. Perfect for socializing over dinner and playing games, and such an amazing spot to check out the fall foliage - only ~10 minute drive into Lincoln! Very close to a plethora of hiking trails. We had a blast - delightful firepit, comfy hot tub, and plenty of relaxation in this private, scenic spot.

This was our first VRBO experience and a perfect first extended vacation for our family, we’ve always done mini trips while the kids were younger. I can safely say all the kids now 9, 10 and 13 will have fond memories of our stay at the cabin in the woods. The brook out back is bonus of the property, my son was out there looking for treasurers everyday and I even enjoyed hopping from rock to rock. The sounds are so peaceful and the views are good for the soul. There is even some chairs and a meditation rock to overlook the brook. I used the hot tub everyday and am convinced I now need one. It was very clean and well maintained. I used it morning, afternoon and evening various days. The jets seem to be on a timer, fair warning when they shut off for the first time, you did not break the hot tub lol. The inside of the Cabin is spacious and clean. We had two kids upstairs in the loft, one on the main floor and my husband and I took the bonus area not pictured downstairs that has a sitting room with a big TV, essentially a 5th bedroom and a 3rd bathroom. We all loved our privacy. It is not a primary residence so certainly bring any and personal supplies you think you’ll need. There are pots and pans for cooking. Some things we went back out for were shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, a lighter, tin foil and extra toilet paper. The good news is everything is so close! The store is maybe a 15 minute drive, as are most activates. We did the Lost River, Clark’s trading post, the loon mountain gondola, alpine adventures ziplining and the flume, all less than a half hour away. The linens are on the older side, which didn’t bother us as they were clean, however I wish I would have brought my own pillow from home. All and all it is a wonderful space for a peaceful, relaxing and scenic family vacation. When it came to leaving my son is as very upset, he loved the place so much he wants us to buy it and made us promise to go back someday lol. Again, we will all remember the cabin in the woods fondly and the memories we now share are priceless. Thanks Joyce for sharing your home and helping us have a wonderful family vacation 💕

Beautiful spot!
This cabin is a special place. Sitting right on the river, listening to the water flow was serene. The decor and amenities were all we could ask for as well. We really enjoyed the fully screened in porch and finished basement.

Truly a Fairy Tale
My family and I enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing stay in the fairy tale cabin. We had plans to do lots of day trips as the house is centrally located to great hikes and family friendly activities. However, most days we just chose to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. Joyce is truly one of the most solicitous hosts we have ever worked with. At one point, I texted her to say what an amazing time we were having and she texted back: "Anything I can do to make it even better?" Incredible!

Beautiful Cabin tucked in a lovely peaceful spot, still close to everything you’d need.
Our family spent last week at Joyce’s cabin, and it’s as beautiful as it is in the photos. The whole property is immaculate you can tell you are staying in a cherished family vacation home, not just any rental. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and all the kitchen gadgets you’d have at home. The views were incredible, our children loved playing in the brook right by the cabin. All very visible from the cabin, so you can sit and relax. The hot tub was also a very nice perk, great after a day of hiking. We hope to return to the cabin, it was truly a wonderful stay. Joyce was so helpful and friendly, everything a great host is.

Great place to recharge, relax, and enjoy nature
My family cannot say enough good things about this house and property owner. Joyce’s communication and responsiveness went above and beyond our expectations. The house is secluded and quiet while being an easy drive from all the White Mountains have to offer. The kitchen was well-stocked and welcoming. The home was clean and spacious. We enjoyed several slow mornings watching the brook and birds with a cup of coffee before heading out to hike or explore local towns.

Wonderful cabin and great location!
We had a great time at Joyce’s lovely cabin! The house is well stocked with everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our group to spread out. I like that there was no TV in the main living room - it allowed us to reconnect without distraction, and the basement area with toys and a TV gave the kids a place to hang out while the adults relaxed. The proximity to the brook was better than I expected and we could hear the water rushing even with the windows closed which was such a peaceful sound. The cabin feels secluded but it’s not far from many attractions, shops, and restaurants. I highly recommend Joyce’s cabin and we look forward to returning here again!

Quiet Woodsy Cabin
What an awesome vacation! The cabin was beautiful, well stocked, clean and cozy. The location was also perfect, in a nice quiet woodsy setting with a river in the backyard. Amazing ski trip at the cabin
This property was everything the previous reviews stated - gorgeous, well-stocked, close proximity to town but private and beautifully secluded. Joyce was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to rectify situations beyond her control (power outage from a snowstorm!) The towns of Woodstock and Lincoln are 15 minutes away, we skied at Loon, stocked up at the grocery store and went to lots of fun restaurants and shops. The house had everything you’d need, we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and warming up inside by the stove, exploring the backyard in the snow, and the kids loved running around in the loft. Highly recommend the ice castles if you’re here in the winter! Such a great stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Christmas at Brookside
This property surpassed all of our expectations and it was absolutely beautiful. We spent Christmas as a family snowed in enjoying the view and the hot tub. There is plenty of space for a family of six and more. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner. The views from the dining room overlooking the Brook are gorgeous. We will definitely be returning we loved the privacy of this home and would love to see it during the spring. Joyce was a pleasure to work with and very responsive.

Wonderful stay!
We had an amazing time at this charming and relaxing cabin. We traveled with our two young children who enjoyed playing in the snow in the backyard, using the many board games and toys, and skiing at the nearby mountains. Check in was easy and Joyce was available for any questions. We hope to be back!

Winter wonderland in New Hampshire
We had a group of 6 adults who had never been to New Hampshire before. Upon arrival, we were so impressed by the beautiful cabin and serene surroundings - the babbling brook in the back is truly picturesque. The interior of the cabin was very nice quality and so cozy, plenty of space to lounge together or break off on your own. There are also plenty of sleeping options. Since we arrived at night, we were pleasantly surprised to see such a beautiful snow covered view the next morning. Joyce provided clear instructions and guidance for arriving and check-in, and her recommendations for food and activities were very helpful. All in all, this was exactly what you’d imagine or hope for if you’re booking a cabin getaway in the northeast. I can’t wait to return one day.

White Mountain Hikinh
This was our second stay at the property and we loved it again. Great place for groups especially if you are staying in and cooking. We finished off the NH 48. Great location to access many trails.

Gorgeous Cabin and Grounds
Our family thoroughly enjoyed a four-day stay at this wonderful property! The landscaping and attention to detail of the property is really amazing. A beautiful river runs right behind the cabin (the rolling water lulled us to sleep each night) and the owners have truly made use of the incredible features of the land. You can tell they poured their heart into this family getaway.
The cabin was welcoming and was stocked for everything we could possibly need. We did a lot of cooking and we had ALL we needed. The owners even provided spices, oils, etc. so that these do not need to be purchased. Plenty of linens, towels and blankets for cozy nights. We wanted to have a fire in the firepit and we were thrilled to find, firestarters, kindling and a huge supply of split wood! They truly "thought of it all".
Above all else, the communication Joyce provided was over and above! She is so forthright, helpful and 100% available and responsive. She contacted us a few days before our arrival to make us aware of a couple of small issues (which were of no consequence to our family). These would have been easy things for an owner to ignore or not necessarily share with guests. She went the extra mile! She continually checked in with us just to make sure we had no questions and that we had what we needed. She truly was a joy to work with!
If we find ourselves in New Hampshire again we KNOW where we will be staying! :-)

Amazing fall getaway
I spent a long weekend at this property with a group of friends and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The house was big and the bedrooms very spaced out - open downstairs perfect for cooking and socializing, large table for gaming overlooking the woods and creek, and lovely firepit outside! The house was very private and quiet, and close to plenty of hiking spots. Joyce was great about checking in to make sure we were all set as well. We highly recommend a stay here!

Owner was accommodating, house nice set up for a family. Conveniently located.Basement a bit damp but the air purifier down there is helpful. Love that there was only one TV this rental is designed for family and friend interaction. The only thing missing was a Moose . I would recommend this rental to anyone and hope to visit again.
