About this house rental
Nestled in Hamlin Lake, this attractive house for $280 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Gorgeous lakefront property on Lower Hamlin Lake with spacious front yard on 150 feet of lakefront. Watch the sun set from the privacy of large front deck. Includes boat dock and protected boat bay. House includes master bedroom with king size bed and bath with jacuzzi bathtub. Second bedroom has queen size bed. Kids bedroom includes two bunk beds. Kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave and everything you will need except the food. House has two fully furnished living spaces with beautiful views of Hamlin Lake. Plenty of room to play on the 1.5 acre property which includes a small beach area. House is surrounded by wetlands which offer lots of privacy. House also has central air conditioning. Rental is Saturday to Saturday during the peak season. There are steps to enter house. Once you enter the house rooms are on same level except two steps to access master bedroom and one living area.

What a great vacation retreat! The kitchen has absolutely everything you need to prepare meals. The kitchen cabinets are clearly labeled with their contents.
The beds were comfortable. It was a plus to have ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen. The property is ideal if you have different age groups because it has two separate living and dining areas. Kids could be watching a movie in one room while adults are playing cards for example.
It was wonderful that we were able to bring our pontoon and dock it at the property. There was also room to park our trailer. The owner suggested two public launch sites. We chose the south one which was a mistake. You have to drive the boat under two bridges that are close to each other to get to Hamlin Lake. I guess the water level was a little high because the bridge scraped up our boat. We couldn’t fit all the way under it and were unable to turn around.
The property has beautiful views, a nice large lawn, firepit, gas grill and lots of outdoor furniture. We enjoyed fishing off their dock and watching mink run across the lawn.

Had an excellent stay for a family vacation. Great house, very clean and well maintained, amazing lake view, close to Ludington and surrounding areas. Hosts were excellent and very accommodating, will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our 2023 Ludington family vacation in this home. The location was great for a beautiful view of the lake and for sunsets. Lots of room to relax in the two spacious living rooms and everything we needed in the kitchen. Already looking forward to next year.

Beautiful Hamlin Lake Sunsets
This is a beautiful home in a fantastic location. We loved being able to swim right off the dock at the property or drive over to the State Park or down to Stearns Beach. Perfect for large families since there are 2 living areas and 2 dining areas to spread out. This rental has everything you need for a relaxing vacation on the water!

Amazing LAST MINUTE Find
Missing out on our usual rental, we found this AMAZING property in Ludington!! The minute my son saw the view from the front porch picture he said, Mom, book it now!!" SO relaxing and quiet! Perfect amount of space for all of us and love the two living room spaces so the kids could watch their shows and the adults in the other. This was out first time in Ludington and we loved it! Definitely looking forward to planning our trip for next year and can't wait to stay here again!!

Gorgeous Views- Comfortable House
The house was everything that was described and more. It was the best equipped house we’ve ever rented. We were not wanting for anything. It was comfortable and inviting.The view was beautiful. It was quiet and relaxing. The location is ideal. I really can’t think of anything negative to say.
We had to check out a day early due to family obligations but before leaving the Ludington area, my husband was hospitalized. The owners went out of their way to help out.

This place is AMAZING! If you think the photos look good, then wait till you see it for real. Tasteful decor, everything from the beds, kitchen, bathrooms were perfect. This really gave us the “at home” feel, with the beauty of Hamlin lake. You can tell A LOT of thought goes into this rental. Can’t wait to stay again!

Everything you need!
The house is set up well - with everything you need for your stay. Even the little things you don't think about: hooks in all the right places, laundry baskets, well-stocked kitchen with great silverware and plenty of dishes, a lightweight vacuum to clean up sand. There was thought in the details. The north side of the lake can be windy, which was a bit of a challenge for us with our boat. Having the boat bay was great! Note that there is no garage. We brought a canopy to keep our things from getting wet. Turns out the owners had one of those too LOL ! Also no gas grill (only charcoal) - so we brought our own. There is plenty of space in the backyard - we played cornhole and threw the football around. The kids were able to jump off the dock and swim - not too deep (about 4') and a nice sandy bottom. We had a great week and would return to this property again!

Wonderful lakehouse to vacation. Our group of 10 had ample room & we loved the layout. The deck was large and seating was plentiful. Would highly recommend it.

Wonderful clean place
Flawless experience! Very comfortable we had 8 in our group and had plenty of room. Loved the privacy of the grounds . We were able to dock our boat on the property which is a plus. The only downside is no pets. We had to board our dog which is a worry and extra expense . This place is fantastic and we highly recommend it !! Lew and Rose are great hosts and respond to all questions quickly

Fantastic break by the lake!
We visited this amazing cottage for 4 days with family. The communication with the owners throughout was fab and the cottage had everything we needed . In fact I’d say the kitchen is stocked better than my own at home!!
We loved watching the sunset whilst enjoying a beer & warming up by the fire pit in the garden. Did some amazing walks in the nearby ludingnton state park & a day trip over to holland. We were all super sad to leave at the end of our trip & would highly recommend visiting here for a relaxing lakeside break !

Beautiful Lake Hamlin home
The home is a real beauty, very comfortable and clean. We especially like the privacy of the property because it is set back from other homes. The house is very well equipped with all the essentials inside and out as well as a lot of art pieces. The master bed was very comfortable. Close to downtown Ludington, state park, and boat rentals. Owners did a great job providing information on the area attractions, restaurants, and stores, what they provided and what we needed to bring. They really made everything very easy from check in to check out. Damage deposit was returned very timely. Would definitely rent this again. My one suggestion is to provide bathroom towels for guests.

Amazing lake views and location
Our family has connections to this town for many years, and a cousin actually stills owns the house on Hamlin Lake that my husband has been visiting every summer since he was a toddler! Our past rental home was sold, so we have been on a search for a new rental to call our own for summers to come! This home more than fits our needs! Everything described about this home was very accurate. Actually, this home was much nicer than we even expected and very clean. The home is just minutes from town as well, which made running errands so convenient. Central air was a nice added feature— It was so nice having a cool home to retreat back to after a long day in the hot sun! Most homes on the lake do not offer a/c- trust me! We cooked several meals at the house and the kitchen has EVERYTHING you could possibly need and the outdoor grill is great too! We rented a boat for a day and was able to dock right at the house to have lunch. If you don’t want to rent a boat, our best times, we’re just floating in tubes, swimming, talking & laughing, watching the sunsets etc. A suggestion to future renters, pack light when it comes to clothing- they have a great washer & dryer! Lew & Rose were very accommodating and gracious through the process. They answered questions quickly and were very attentive. We will be returning for years to come—already booked for next year! :)

Amazing
Everything was exactly as discribed. The privacy was exactly what he were looking for. We have stayed at a number of other rentals in the past and none can compare with this one. The Grandchildren never left the Beach Area outside the house and kept them entertained the whole week. We will be back next year.

Relaxing Week on the Lake
Very nice home on Hamlin Lake. Very peaceful sitting in the deck overlooking the lake. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!

Home was great for a family get together!
Lew and Rose were great to deal with, very responsive. The house is better than the pictures. Very comfortable for 6 adults, beds and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen was wonderful, even an electric griddle for our pancake breakfast. Ludington area is beautiful, managed to get a hike in at the State Park and a bonfire, before a rainy Saturday. Would definitely recommend.

Fall color get-away
We had a great time at Lew & Rose's Hamlin Lake house. The house was clean and very comfortable with plenty of space to relax. Especially enjoyed the sunsets over the lake with the large porch and lake front yard. We loved it so much we plan to return in warmer weather!

We'll be coming back!
It's a perfect gem of a hide away vacation spot. We had read other reviews that they've thought of everything and it's true. We were out at the fire pit the first night getting ready to have Somemores. The kids went in to find something to toast the marshmallows and came out with skewers for shish-ka-bob. My husband went back into the house to look because the reviews say 'they thought of everything' and came out with proper marshmallow/hotdog forked, long handled skewers! We had a wonderful week together. Having two living areas and three dining areas was a bonus with three generations. And the Master bedroom soaker tub was a welcome addition for those of us whose muscles weren't used to all the activity! It's just the kind of place you want for a vacation!

The perfect anniversary vacation
The rental property was extremely well equipped. It was very clean, well kept, pleasingly decorated. We wanted for absolutely nothing the entire week. This allowed us to really sit back, relax, and enjoy our time together. We loved sitting on the deck every night watching the fantastic sunsets over the water. We will, and already have recommended this property to our friends and family.
